Radish & Rye
We visited the new location on Cerrillos and enjoyed this trendy restaurant. The service was impeccable. Extreme attention to detail in presentation and quality. We shared the Corn Chowder which was delicious. The roasted beet salad was not my favorite. We also shared the ribeye steak and fingerling potatoes. Steak was cooked perfectly and everything we ordered was seasoned to perfection. It is a vibrant, loft type of place that I would probably frequent selectively or for special occasions.
I was very disappointed the both the food and the ambiance. I had the fish. It was served with a chili tartar sauce and a chili corn bake. It was a bad pairing. All you could taste was the chili. The noise level was very loud. It was difficult to have a conversation. The service was actually overly attentive. I did not need my water glass refilled every few minutes with the waiters's elbow stuck in my face. There are many wonderful restaurants in Santa Fe. This was not one of them.
They did a good job with the new location, food quality is still
We ordered small plates. The brisket salad was a mixed review. The salad part was quite good. The brisket was tough, rubbery and pretty much inedible. The smoked trout dip was very good. The lamb pate tasted so strong that it was only tolerable with the mustard added. The fried shrimp were unremarkable. Prices were high. The cocktails on the menu only had bourbon in them. While they claim to be unpretentious, this was the most pretentious place that we visited in Santa Fe with the worst food.
I have always enjoyed Radish & Rye and tried their new location - the west sun shine too brightly through West window and people cannot see - they need solar shades or something - the service is wonderful - had small plates and the short ribs were very dry and the cauliflower was forgettable. But - I will come back!
We have heard a lot about this restaurant but this was our first time there. Food and service were spectacular! Lots of meat, fish, vegetarian, and small plates - something for everyone. It was a bit loud as the floors are concrete so nothing to absorb sound, but not over the top. All good and we will definitely go again. Our out of town friends when are good cooks loved it!
Food is just fine but, there was no air moving in the place and the sun coming in from the windows was unbearable. Eating dinner with the sun right in your face is not highly recommended.
Our server was not very enthusiastic about the food or her job it seemed like. Very neutral and blah. Made reservations a month in advance and we were seated at table where the sun hit 2 people in the eyes for 20 minutes. Just not the best overall experience. Food wasn’t amazing enough to overcome the experience.
Attentive staff, great location, great food and adult beverages! Staff was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations! A must dining experience!
I had the fried trout. It was excellent with a spicy tarter sauce. The appetizer popcorn they brought to the table was excellent. I loved the collard greens. My husband had the brisket small plate and the pickled plate. He thought it was great. The bourbon pecan pie was excellent. It is a nice contemporary space. Their signature cocktails were divine.
This was our second dinner at R first at the new location. Our cocktails were excellent and the starter popcorn was a delicious surprise. The fried green beans with smoked marrow vinaigrette were exceptional as our appetizer. Both salmon and the trout were cooked perfectly. The ice cream trio was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Service was also very good.
I was very disappointed. It was my birthday and yet everyone kept saying happy anniversary. My husband's salmon dinner was an excellent choice, while my choice of the pork chop was a disaster. It was huge with a seared edging of fat at least a 1/4" thick and almost impossible to remove The entire piece of meat was close to burnt on the outside and the interior so well done that I could hardly cut or chew it. The celebratory champagne, which was noted on the bill at $8.00 per glass (then subtracted out at the final total) was a measly two-fingers worth of liquid. The wait person did ask the kitchen to accommodate my food allergy, subbing burnt and soggy fingerling potatoes for the polenta. I doubt I will ever return there.
Amazing service and the quality of food, portion size and taste was outstanding! Fresh ingredients are always tasteful and stand apart from anything else. Drink selection was awesome and filled with numerous options too many to list. Will be going again for dinner very soon.
Service is slow, food average, but below average compared to other restaurants in Santa Fe. Management even called to express dissatisfaction with tip left that reflected overall experience. Will never return and suspect will be suspended if current trend continues.
This was our first visit to R&R’s new location, and we were impressed. To be honest, I wasn’t a fan of the original spot, but it is clear the new space allows the chef to expand his offerings.
My wife loved the pork chop so much she wouldn’t give our take home portion to our dogs. I had the salmon, and it was cooked perfectly. Good wine list with reasonable pricing. Next time, we’ll try their upstairs bar — looks very interesting.
Creative dishes and an excellent but expensive liquor list. Lots of interruptions of conversation to clear dishes from the table. Very "live" room surfaces that magnify noise and the superfluous music on the PA.
This was by far the best experience we had in Santa Fe.
I love the food and ambiance in Santa Fe and Radish & Rye just ups the game.
The wait staff is on point, the food was incredible and the entire experience was off the hook.
Thanks for the great attitude, incredible food and reasonable prices!
Unbelievable ! Food was amazing and so was the service . Highly recommend!
Besides the sun shining in my mom's face almost the whole time we were there, the food was fabulous. Very cool restaurant and would like to go back just to try other things on the menu. The corn chowder had a large marrow bone in the middle of the bowl - outstanding and the fritters were great too. Will definitely be back and hopefully they'll have blinds/shades next time for those large windows.
Wonderful dinner! Would highly recommend. The corn chowder and steak were amazing!!
The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, the food was great and the playlist was on point!
If you've never dined here, "just do it". I dine out a fair amount due to work travel, and Radish & Rye met all my expectations.
Service, food quality, atmosphere, value
Thank you... :)
Most excellent service, food was very, very good, and a wonderful atmosphere. Would be happy to go back.
Exceptionally freshness concept and food for Santa Fe! Every plate from small to large to desert for our party of four were phenomenal and the service spot on. Our waiter was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Marvelous o all counts - you must try Radish and Rye...
Beautiful restaurant with lots of ambiance. We arrived at sunset and the western facing windows had no shades on them (they are on order according to our server), so I was blinded for about 20 minutes until the sun went down. The food was outstanding and the restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday night. I will definitely be coming again for sure!
Awesome food, found the support servers to be more welcoming than our actual server. Didn’t really talk to us, would have preferred a little more conversation - makes the restaurant service feel more personal. Overall the restaurant was really good & the food was incredible.
Wonderful birthday celebration. Great food, good wine and drinks, exemplary service!
Great food and great whiskey selection ! Definitely will be a regular destination for us.
Love the new location...love the music...the service is exceptional! The problem with this place in a nut shell is the menu is old and boring. If the food choices were out of this world...then, it would not get boring. The proportion of food you get compared to the price is an insult. The $48 steak was so tough it was close to being inedible, the slice and I mean merely a slice of salmon on the plate was a joke. The only thing we would go back in this restaurant for would be the popcorn and corn chowder with the smoked bone. I would go back if they had a filet or a steak that you didn’t have to be a German Shepard to eat or the portion of fish weighed more than 3 oz. on the plate or bread that didn’t cost you $6. Sorry!
My wife and I had dinner at the restaurant this past Sunday to celebrate my 40th birthday. We couldn't of had a better experience. Everything was absolutely on point.
Service - First and foremost the service was superb. Adrienne was very attentive and not intrusive at all.
Food - For starters we shared the Sweet Corn Fritters and the Fresh Corn Chowder with the Green Chili and Smoked Bone Marrow. The Sweet Corn Fritters were the perfect combo of sweet, salty, crunchy, and the green goddess dressing just pulled the whole dish together. The Fresh Corn Chowder was a WOW dish. The bone marrow mixed so well with the chowder....yum!
For entree we shared the Grilled Ribeye with the Duck Fat Potatoes and side of the Charred Broccolini.
Adrienne said the chef recommends the ribeye cooked to medium because of the cut and the marbling. We both eat our steaks rare to medium rare so we were a little nervous but we obliged. Great decision as the steak was absolutely phenomenal, the potatoes were delish, and the broccolini was great (perfect amount of char)
Make sure to do yourself a favor and save room for the Bourbon Pecan Pie and add the Peanut Brittle Ice Cream.
Drinks/Wine - The cocktails are worth visiting the restaurant alone. The Barrel Aged Boulevardier was perfectly balance (I had two of them) and the wine list was littered with diamonds. Half Bottle of 2014 Chateau de Beaucastel was an absolute steal.
Thank you for making my birthday dinner so special!!!
My friend and I had a lovely experience st R&R. Staff were very responsive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and timely.
I would call Radish and Rye modern cuisine. They offer signature cocktails and vegan options. The food was good. One of their specialties is using duck fat for fingerling potatoes and a house made seasoned popcorn.
Family night out. The restaurant space is open, fresh, appealing. Food is farm to table with eclectic twists. Drinks are fun & interesting. Great wine list. Atmosphere not rushed. All staff are engaging. Makes for a very enjoyable evening.
Terrific, but not totally amazing, small and large plates. If you're a bourbon drinker you must go: longest list of fine bourbons of any restaurant I've even eaten in. Lovely atmosphere and great service. All made for a lovely dinner. We'd definitely return.
My recommendation would come with qualifications. Very nice bar and good specialty drinks. Attempts at Southern Specialties fell short fried green tomatoes or very hard, reading was tasteless, and pimento cheese did not work. Remoulade sauce would have been much better. Collard greens for side were extremely hot and vinegary, almost unedible. Butcher steak while tasty, was a very small portion. On a recommendation from a friend, we ordered the pecan pie alamode for dessert, without consulting the menu. Turned out to be $16, which I feel is exorbitant for this type of restaurant. Very good service though and we do like this location better than the old one.
This place came recommended from friends and now I'll pay it forward in terms of recommendations. The smoked trout dip was delicious as well as the Pan Fried Trout with Green Chile Corn Bake. Great service and ambience.
This restaurant needs some noise reducing applications. By the end of the meal I could barely hear my dinner guest words and we were sitting at a 2 top table. The food was very good along with the service.
Food was un-remarkable and greatly over priced! Service was "in your face" as personal conversations were interrupted. We are not impressed.
Excellent ingredients. They really keep it simple to let the main course shine. Best lamb I’ve had in a very long time. We will be back soon.
