What Insiders Are Saying
Depending on how much you enjoy porn star martinis, you’ll either love or hate Radio, the rooftop bar and lounge in the ME London hotel on the Strand.
Poor service. Over priced drinks.
Lovely food great staff and fabulous cocktails. We had a great evening there and would thoroughly recommend it.
You are perfect !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great place to go on a Friday night with the girls, lively, great views, lovely cocktails and good service. Recommend
Hi. We waited an hour for our food. I ordered sliders (3 x small burgers). The meat inside was pink which I’m not sure was meant to be or if it was under cooked. The view was amazing as you’d expect from a rooftop bar of London. I was happy to sit in the restaurant for 2 hours but would normally expect quicker service.
The toilets were very dark, giving my daughter who’s visually impaired difficulty.
Food was decent but I would most certainly recommend this to anyone solely for the stunning view. It was funky and chic!
The kitchen was closed due to something being broken, they could have called me to warn me but instead still let me turn up. It was a treat for my mum who travelled all the way down from Leeds so it was really disappointing, the staff weren't apologetic.
The staff had to manage a difficult situation due to utility problems in the kitchen which meant food was not available. Under very difficult circumstances they went out there way to ensure our day was not spoilt. Booking us into the main hotel restaurant, informing the staff of our special occasion, treating us to complimentary items and made us feel very special. Thank you all
Really nice bar which is totally made for the view. We sat on the Terrace which was covered due to the wind/weather and it was lovely and warm with a fantastic view of London. I imagine on a warmer day this would be a perfect place to watch the sun go down.
Food is ok, but just ok. Wine list and cocktails were good. I thought the staff were quite stuffy and pretentious, however our waitress was lovely and attentive.
A bit average but great location.
Great food. Service not great for the price and venue.
We had a great time ladies do brunch, great place good food bottomless Belinis wonderful
Excellent experience! Very helpful staff, helped us in the lift. Drinks tasted amazing!
Terrible service, very slow.
The service that we received was astonishing. I mentioned when I booked the table that it was my partners birthday and they just went the extra mile to make it special for him.
Great service, fantastic astmosphere and astonishing views, would recommend this to everyone. We will definitely be back in a hurry!!
Really do love it here as the small dishes are ideal for sharing
The only negative I would have is that the music on a Friday evening is a little loud
When a group of friends want to catch up and have a chat , you can’t really hear each other which is a shame
Apart from that the views and service are excellent
A wonderful evening for pre dinner drinks to celebrate my sisters 40th birthday. Complimentary birthday churros with a candle was a lovely touch. My only disappointment was that when booking there was no option to book an outside table
Food was shocking for the price. This place is lovely for a drink with friends if you want to spend all night shouting over music. We were out for a nice meal as a couple, sat under a speaker so couldn't really speak to each other. I have cooked better food at home and waiting staff seemed more interested in their appearance than providing a decent service. Definitely not set up for food, more just a trendy bar for a 'night' out out
Overpriced and view not as great as advertised! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and wouldn’t revisit. £60 for 4 cocktails which were below average. Dissapointing birthday afternoon.
I reviewed 1 for the food but we did not eat and there was not an N/A so don't take that as a bad reflection. The place is "cool" and the price reflects this, a little pretentious that you require a booking, but that said it controls the number and means there is no waving money at a barman,. Great for a couple of drinks but could not spend a whole night there
Amazing views... beautiful food amazing ambience but service!!!! Drinks took 25 minutes to come to table... waiter didn’t put order through then ordered drinks later on and that didn’t get out through either- it was a shame because everything else was amazing!
It was such a lovely place. It was my partners birthday and we had a table on the terrace over looking London. Was amazing views and I love that they had blankets as it was chilly that day. Only thing they could do with our there is more heaters.
The food was good and worth the price. We had the bottless brunch and the drinks kept on coming.
Overall was a great day, thank you.
Ca vaut pas le coup, beaucoup trop cher et les serveurs vous prennnet de haut
The service was a bit slow in the beginning but the food and drinks were ok. Also the night view of the skyline is worth going.
Great view over the city. In summer it would be stunning
Nice atmosphere, but the service is slow, the prices are appropriate for the location but the food and drinks served unfortunately do not correspond to what you would expect when paying what's being asked.
We were there for a Birthday celebration for drinks and dinner. We thought we would be seated where there was a view but we were seated at a small cocktail table near the bar and DJ. It was very loud which made it hard to talk and hear each other. They did finally move us after we finished our drink because we said we weren’t going to stay for dinner. We were then seated in their dinner area but sat there for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged us so we left.
Breakfast was fantastic with such a brilliant view. Service was excellent and we didn’t feel rushed. Really good Portion size meaning good value for money.
It was not what I thought it would be.
Got asked for passport ID at the ground floor entrance even though I had made a reservation? Which I didn't have but thankfully the doorman was ok about it.
The outside eating area was cramped and little too unclean for my liking.
Some of the guests were drunk and swearing, which put off other diners as well as myself
Also the waiter didn't understand what drink I asked for, when I asked for sake (Japanese rice wine)
Instead I was given a glass of straight single malt Japanese whiskey which I didn't like or finish?
Only when I settled the bill did I discover that the single shot of whiskey set me back £25!
A disappointing first experience of this place
Fantastic place, will definitely re attend but with less wind next time
We came for our anniversary celebration for a roast dinner and unfortunately didn’t have a good experience at all.
First of all they don’t serve roast dinners -the menu is extremely misleading as it says ‘weekend roast’, I then chose from another menu on the table and the waiter tried to make my order the second time round and the menu wasn’t apparently available at that time!
Third time Lucky - I ordered a simple cheese and ham bagel only because I was starving and there was nothing on the menu I wanted after having my heart set on the traditional English roast dinner.
We were in and out within an hour, there was no music and we spent £50 for a lower than average experience!! I could have bought a bagel in a cafe for a 10th of the price!
This was not the anniversary experience I had expected to say the least.
I had a table reserved and initially was enjoying my first time at radio roof top with a friend that I had not seen in a long time. We ordered food and our first waiter was okay, filling up our wine glasses, clearing away our plates etc. We were outside under the shelter but the wind was really bad and coming through various gaps so we asked to be moved inside in which the waiter moved us in due time. When we sat inside the table service just was non existent we were waiting for someone to take our drinks order for 33mins in which I then went to the bar myself and was told by a barman that it was only table service, I told the gentleman that I had been waiting for over half an hour and he said he would get someone to come over. We continued to wait a further 5mins and a girl/waiter come over to us, looked very angry and raised her eyebrows initiating 'what do you want to drink' I was appalled with her professionalism and was quite embarrassed at this point as I bought my friend her as it was highly recommended by my friend and this point had already spent over £100 on drinks. The last straw for me was when we ordered a drink just before we were about to leave and the drink arrived Very short measured, now we had previously ordered the same drink alongside some other friends we knew that as there too and in comparison you could clearly see the difference in measures. I did inform the manager on duty and I felt he did listen to us and deal with it efficiently but I just had to write this review as I am still left in utter shock with the experience I encountered and hope this does not happen to any of your future customers again.
I went with my best friend for a pre theatre dinner . The actual location is beautiful, right st the top of ME hotel with stunning views. However as soon as we ordered our drinks we were informed by the waiter that their policy is to hold one of our credit cards in their possession until final bill is paid! We really found that extremely uncomfortable not to mention unsecured. We go out to central London restaurants at least once a week, we have never had to do that! We ordered one dish from their ‘shared ‘ menu and the portion is definitely not got 2 people! The mains dishes were very small portions for their prices and the cocktails were way over priced. Sorry definitely not going back again. Another point to mention is that a group of people were sitting besides is who were clearly very drunk, extremely loud and obnoxious which made all of us around them very annoyed. I’m not saying everyone should be quite in a public place, but people should respect other diners and the decency to enjoy themselves without spoiling the evening for everyone else.
Table was dirty and not laid out ordered olives to start never came out dinner was brought out within 10 mins of ordering. Ordered an earl grey tea and got a green tea.
Nice place with incredible view, good food and service!
A fantastic place, but a bit more detail on how to find it would have been useful!
I'm sure this is a great bar in the summer but on a winter evening the sheet plastics there to protect you from the breeze look a bit cheap (Marquee-esq), as well as distorting the view. It's a such a great location and the food was lovely, but it is a premium spot I think that sliding windows would have improved the view/atmosphere/photos immeasurably.
Rude staff. Very unhelpful and expensive. Long wait to be served.
The drinks and views were absolutely stunning, however the service was very unnerving. The two of us have worked in the hospitality industry for a long time and we spoke to every waiter in a kind, respectful manner. Not one of them cared or spoke. At one point, one employee vented to us about how awful the customers are here and that they hate their job. That's not what we were expecting to hear. Then, towards the end, the hostess came up to us 20 minutes before our time was up demanding that we leave the table as the next booking had arrived super early and were waiting inside. When you book, you're allowed 1.5 hrs to enjoy the experience. It's not okay to tell us to leave without any notice. It's also not our problem that the next couple arrived early on their own accord. Please either treat your staff better or figure out a better way to talk to your customers.
We reserved a table but there was no table available on the rooftop. So we were placed somewhere inside. The service was really bad. We waited 20 minutes for our softdinks. The food was really disappointing. Afterwards we went to Pret for some extra food.
