I desperately want this place to be great. Mother's Day brunch; all buffet, no regular menu. Small crowd; small buffet. Looked more like a week day hotel buffet (with the inclusion of a carving station). Everything was fine, but nothing was special. Bad experience with hostess earlier in the week demanding (in not so polite terms or voice) a credit card to hold the reservation. Restaurant was half empty when we left after 12 noon. Can only imagine she turned off some patrons. … Overall, an adequate, but in no way special brunch. Fine; but hoped for better.
Went to Easter Brunch, and while the food selection was not as vast as some that I have been to, it was very good.
Service was extremely slow, and the restaurant was not crowded. Our waiter came by our table maybe 4 times during the 90min we were there. Towards the end of our meal another waitress took our dessert order and brought us our bill. This was odd because our waiter was standing by the kitchen during this time. Food was overpriced for the quality that was served. Overall, our experience was below average.
Got there at 8:15 on Friday night. It was noticeably obvious the staff wanted us cleared out by closing time which surprisingly is 10PM even on weekends. Felt a little hurried which is never good from a diner’s perspective.
Food was good not great. Wasn’t expecting exceptional and the food was in line with my expectation.
Ambience and service is amazing. Felt bad for server bc food was poor. No flavor in pasta and watery tasting ravioli. Server did great to make up for it but the food was a letdown.
This was a wonderful culinary experience. We ate multiple things on the menu and EVERYTHING was perfect, including drinks.
This is the place where you can have a conversation. The noise level is very low, still music plays in the background. Courteous staff. Very nice.
The waiter was so bad we left before ordering. Very limited selection of Cabernets. We I asked about why there were so few cabs on the wine menu, he replied because they get there wines from small vineyards???? The was only one other table of a party 2 in the entire restaurant. We can’t attest to the food or the value since we didn’t eat.
Exceptionally good taste. One of the best Italian I've had in over 50 years.
Fabulous food especially the kale salad and lobster ravioli. Fantastic ambiance and staff.
Showed up at the restaurant for our reservation only to be turned down since the restaurant was closed for a private event. Being a Sat night finding a last minute alternative wasn’t easy.
We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Radio Milano - delicious food, quiet atmosphere, and attentive, considerate service.
The place had lots of potential with great reviews so seemed a good choice for dinner. My girlfriend and I chose the 3 course meal with wine pairing for $60. Extemely dissapointing. The first course was a salad which was just ok, nothing special..could make it better at home. Second course was the duck and she had the prawns. Both pretty terrible! But the worst was the desserts. Tasted old and made from a box. The wine pairings were also awful. Service was just ok. All in all will not be going back!
The appetizers were not very good. The calamari specifically was over-fried and their rendition of a Caesar Salad was just sad... However, they have wonderful Pasta that saved the evening. Both the Lobster and Veal were outstanding. So save yourself the money and just order an entree.
After reading all the great reviews, I was excited to try this restaurant. The service was very good but our food was fair to poor. The butternut squash soup was tasty but the entrees were not. I had the blackened scallop spaghetti and my husband had the duck breast. Neither one of us finished our entrees. The spaghetti sauce was strange.
Excellent service and food. The whiskey selection is top-notch.
Our first visit to Radio Milano on Christmas Day is unfortunately our last. I regret expressing negative comments but the experience was extremely sub-standard. I do hope the restaurant can improve food and customer service.
Exceptionally nice brunch for two on a special occassion.
The food is always exceptional. And the fact that you can bring your own wine for a small corkage fee puts this place over the top.
Food and service were topnotch for such a reasonable price! Will be back again.
A diverse menu with some excellent choices. I've eaten at Radio Milano's several times and the food is always excellently prepared and presented. Service has been great every time! I appreciate the ambiance with a lower noise level that allow for better conversations, especially when conducting business. The wine selection is very good as well, though a bit pricey in most cases though you can find a couple nice wines for a reasonable price if you know what to look for.
Excellent food quality with high quality, professional service. Highly recommend!
Great overall. Servers were very attentive. Great atmosphere. Quiet. Good place for a romantic date
Amazing! Simply amazing staff! Your staff made out 1st anniversary special!!
The food that we ordered tasted great. Not a lot of selection though. Very empty but we did not mind. Great service.
What a surprise! We were looking for something new and this was so good. My husband had the Lobster spaghetti- lobster tail on top of basil pesto spaghetti. Loved it! I had the steak that was cooked perfectly. Quiet and the service was excellent! An unknown gem (to us!) that we will return to soon.
Good brunch menu options. Everything was flavorful, even the coffee. It is a bit difficult to access if you're injured or handicapped, but that staff was very accommodating. The pièce de résistance was the pistachio cheesecake. YUM!!! The best New York-style consistency that would rival Juniors.
Enjoyed our girls brunch! Food was good! Looking forward to attending events here in the future.
My son and I went there on Sunday Aug 5, 2018 at 1230PM. for Houston Restaurant Week. I ordered fried wings and waffles for main entree. The batter on the wings are a little bit sweet but the meat itself was very bland and had no taste. I normally don't ask for table salt but had to because the wings were not seasoned. They tasted like they didn't put salt and pepper at all! it was a very slow day but it took them 50 minutes to bring our food! My son had crab cakes and they were ok . While in the middle of our meal, waitress came to us if we had asked for our check, I said no but go ahead and give it to us. We put our credit card and signed the check and stayed for about 30 minutes, then we left. My son stayed outside of the restaurant while waiting for me to use the rest room. when I came back, we talked for few minutes to get our car from the valet. as we drove out of City Centre, someone from restaurant called that we haven't paid. So we went back and I told the manager that our credit card and check was on the table for 30 minutes and we assumed they took it plus we stayed 15 minutes outside of restaurant and they just noticed the check hasn't been paid after 45 minutes had passed? REALLY BAD SERVICE considering there's only a handful of customers that day. VERY DISAPPOINTED and this is my first bad review ever.
Mid week , business lunch, excellent menu, great value.
I came here to celebrate my birthday and I had such a wonderful experience! The waiter was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. And the ambience was quite nice.
Our food was cold and our steak was tough and with no flavor!
Very nice, quiet and welcoming. Great manager and staff!
We had a wonderful experience. Drinks in Milano Bar were superb as was the bar service (quick, informative). Dinner upstairs was a wow. The Sommelier was very helpful with wine pairings, and the meal??? Amazing. Hand made pastas and the steak was cooked to perfection. They had some cool no charge special events coming up they talked about, and their High Tea menus online looked great. Top marks.
Service was lacking
We came for Easter brunch. Overall ambiance was nice and the buffet area was clean. Unfortunately the buffet options were very sparse and lackluster, especially for a holiday brunch. No breakfast potatoes to accompany the 4 breakfast items and surprisingly no bread options to go with the pasta, which was really odd since this is an Italian restaurant. The fruit platters were sad and all of the desserts appeared to be pre-packaged and just placed on trays on the buffet. Coffee was self-serve, but when we got out bill we saw that a cup of coffee was $4. Again, very odd to charge $4 for a cup of coffee that the guest had to serve themself.
A 20% gratuity charge was automatically added to our bill which was quite presumptuous given the fact that we didn't have a consistent server and had to ask for basic things like new silverware after our original set was taken.
All in all, $30 for an Easter brunch was the most reasonable price you will find in Houston, but there's also a reason why it was so cheap. Despite the convenient location we won't be visiting again.
We made a reservation for 4 for Easter Brunch. Food, ambience, and service was impressive. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. My niece was so grateful for her hot chocolate. Kudos to the Kitchen & waitstaff. I’ll definitely be returning. Impeccable experience.
The lasagna.. absolutely amazing. In a perfect world, I would eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and dream about it all night long)!!
We stayed at Hotel Sorella for our 10 year anniversary and had dinner at Radio Milano. It was by far the best food I have ever had in my life. The calamari was fresh and tender with a delicious, slightly spicy sauce that paired perfectly with it. The alcoholic beverage selections were unique. My husband got a beer he had never tried before and he enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure about which wine I wanted, so the waitress brought out two options for me to taste and help me decide. We had tenderloin and salmon for our main dishes. Again, perfectly cooked and delicious. We will be back for the next special occasion! We were treated like royalty.
