Radar Ratings and Reviews
Radar is consistant, in the quality of their libations, fresh and creative foods, variety and new ways of presentation. The customer service is top notch. The staff - each one- makes your experience quality, overtime. I return as often as I can and look for more occasions to be in North Portland so I can stop in. Great Brunch spot!
we came here for my husbands birthday brunch. we made reservations but did not need them at 10am on Saturday. By the time we left around 11:30, the place was pretty much full with a few people waiting to be seated. it has a great atmosphere with cool lights, exposed brick and an open kitchen. Our server was friendly, helpful and had great suggestions. We will be back to try dinner. I would recommend this for 2 people. if you have more than that, make a reservations for sure as seating is limited.
This place is always amazing. We have been eating here on a regular basis and every time we are happy. The food is good but why we go is the cap’n kit cocktail. This drink is not on the menu. Lilly is such a wonderful person and always greets us and let us know about the status of our drink. With this kind personalized attention we love coming back and regularly bring friends and family to share the experience.
Been twice, lovely both times. Great cocktails. Wonderful food. Try the roasted radishes-I generally don’t like radishes but these are wonderful. Service has always been great and advice about the wine spot on. Friendly folks and great food. I will be back!
First time to Radar and loved it. I had my brother and his girlfriend in town and we all enjoyed our meals. I also appreciated the waitress’ consideration for my dietary needs (gluten and egg free). My friend and I ordered the smoked fish hash and it was delicious. Strong coffee available, as well. Overall, cute spot, great food, and fun location on Mississippi!
Lily is an excellent host and has a menu that reflects the region and the seasons. Always top notch. We had a time limit so I did reservations for Sunday morning brunch, which is what I'd recommend since it is a smaller space. Great coffee, great food, great service. Thank you Lily & your amazing team.
A friend recommended we try this place for brunch. We were able to make a reservation for 4 people and they had everything set up and ready to go when we walked in. The service was prompt and the food was good. It was fun to watch everyone wait in line for Gravy while we laughed and sipped breakfast cocktails!
A fantastic dining experience right next to Mississippi Studios where we had tickets for a Monday night show. Our first time to Radar and definitely not the last, we thoroughly enjoyed the good, service, and ambience. Our server was also the owner, and was very helpful with our special dietary requirements and helped make our experience a meal we won't soon forget. Thank you Radar! See you again soon!!
Nice spot on a busy street. Surprisingly quiet. Food very good. Octopus was a great contrast in flavors and texture. The "sweet" corn next to the charred Octopus was outstanding.
Cocktails were really good. The "standard" was quite unique. Service friendly, attentive, and perfect.
Escargots somehow did not get salted, a bit dull for that reason.
Nice neighborhood place.
We were a party of three and were seated at a small table for 2. Chairs (metal) were very uncomfortable for us older people. The only other choice were the wooden benches for the larger parties.
We enjoyed the food and felt that this was a nice, friendly neighborhood place.
Gin and tonics were the best bet.
This is my favorite place to take people from out of town. It used to be the VQ.
I love the feel of this space. Small and I love the big picture of the ship in the back.
Lily, who meets you at the door, is so nice and wants you to have a great night. She
jus oozes friendly. Right now, they have an amazing trout dish on the menu.
It is worth the trip in itself. Another must is the fried cauliflower. Thank you for
a wonderful evening...Tobey
