We had a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent as well.
Food was great, service was exceptional would definitely recommend this restaurant and plan on eating there again!
Delicious food! And awesome that you can reserve ahead.
My son and I were in town and made a reservation for this restaurant so that we could walk around Mississippi Avenue I’ve been coming back-and-forth to the Portland area since November and this is hands-down the best eatery that I have been to
Thanks for being so kind to my kiddo!
Great food and service! Easily one of Portland’s best.
What a fine place! Loved the Portland Dining menu. The wait staff fun and informed. Food was delicious and wine pairings were spot on. Put this place on your “must do” dining.
Four of us tried out Radar during Portland Dining Month. Each of us ordered one of the choices for Dining Month and we had the wine pairing. It was excellent. Johnnie does a superb job with his wine selection!!!
This was one of the best restaurant dinners I have had!! The food was not especially exotic, but the preparation really made it special. EVERYTHING was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We had their Restaurant Month special and it was special indeed. Another fantastic thing was a relatively inexpensive wine flight with a portion especially selected to complement each course.
If there was something to get picky about, it might be that the portion in the main course were a little small. Fine for our table of relatively small people, but it might have left a husky guy hungry. Maybe a bread basket?
Overall this was a memorable experience and we highly recommend it.
What a great find. Brunch with my girlfriends. Great service ,food was amazing. Biscuits and gravy was a clean plate result. Will be back soon.
Radar is pretty great. I've been there for dinner many times, which is a delight. This was my second time having brunch there. The beef brisket with corn pancakes is to die for. Consider french toast with a side of bacon, and how it perfectly straddles the sweet/savory divide. If this is something that you enjoy I cannot recommend the brisket enough. It is the sweet/savory breakfast dish elevated as high as one would care to go. Also, their bloodies are dangerously delicious.
Great breakfast and setting! If you have dietary restrictions you just need to ask for a separate menu with all the notes :)
We chose this restaurant because of Portland Dining Month and the rave reviews it got in the newspaper. Not only had we never been there, but we had never even heard of the place (has been open for six years!). We had a glorious time. Great vibe, nice music. Extraordinarily accommodating staff (last minute change in our order and the kitchen was about to close, but never anything but a pleasant "I think we can make that work". The food was phenomenal, even more impressive given the small size of the restaurant. We had crab salad and squash soup, beef cheeks and scallops, and killer desserts. The wine list is mostly French, excellent choices and another unexpected surprise for a tiny neighborhood eatery. We will be back!
Restaurant Month with my wife. Interesting meal with a nice presentation. Good service.
Such great food, and enough no-meat options to keep a vegetarian happy. Excellent craft cocktails and really good service. Not our first time here, and we’ll definitely come back again.
Thanks to dine out month we discovered this new favorite. Small and intimate, the staff were super friendly, the food was delicious and the bar had a good beer selection. Even got there in time for happy hour clams! Definitely will go back there are so many good choices on the menu.
We came here for Portland Dining Month and definitely will be back again. The food was really tasty, especially the braise beef cheeks. Service was friendly and our server even gave us a few options that's not obvious. With dinner and drink done, it's within a great location to walk around and hit a couple more places. Definitely coming back to try out the regular menu (which is not expensive).
It’s Portland Dining Month, and I highly recommend Radar’s inventive and inspired special menu along with the optional wine pairings...so delicious and an excellent value.
Our food was absolutely delicious and we would like to return and give it a second try. Our polenta was cool though, and should have been hot. Also, we sat at the counter and noticed an unappetizing smell when the refrigerator under the counter was openend.
Best Bloody Mary in town! Make brunch reservations and skip the line. Best lunch in town too... Dinner is a delight as well, wonderful menu and wine list. One of my Portland favs!
My third time at Radar for brunch. It was outstanding. Looking forward to having dinner here soon.
We dined for Portland Dining Month and the good was fabulous! We especially loved both first and third courses. The main dish was delish, but not the highlight. Every single wait staffer that we encountered was friendly and helpful. Ambiance was cozy but sophisticated. Would highly recommend!
Favorite location for brunch. Service is always excellent.
Love Lilly's wonderful hospitality!
Spectacular brunch served by friendly people; we enjoyed everything about it.
This is one of my go-to restaurants because of the awesome, attentive staff, the amazing food, and the atmosphere. Always a great experience going to Radar...THANK YOU!!
I took my daughter here for brunch and we both loved it. We had a very difficult time trying to decide what to order since it came down to 5 things. Luckily our waitress was able to help us decide . The food was nothing like I’ve ever tasted! Spices were perfect and the presentation beautiful. I’ll return again and take others to experience it as well.
Also one thing I noticed, that was on every customer’s face was worn, the expression of a satisfied palate. That was very satisfying to me as well😋
Dust on all lights above tables / kitchen. Easy to fix but too lazy i guess..
Very very attentive service with a clever menu of small to large plates. Good value for such creativity; we did not go home hungry and our wallets were not drained. Will be back.
Delicious, exciting menu, and great service. Despite not being listed as “kid-friendly” on Yelp, the wait staff was very friendly with our 3 small kids, there is an a la carte menu that works for kids and they brought crayons so that was a great surprise.
Food took forever to come out and wasn't well paced at all for trying to be a tapas place now.
Radar is honestly one of our favorite places to dine. As usual, Radar was amazing. I have not yet had something bad there. The service was impeccable, the timing between courses was perfect. The drinks were wonderful. And the food was outstanding. My spouse and I reflected that if we were ever invited to a chef’s choice dinner we would totally trust anything Radar’s chef would suggest. I just wish we had the money to eat here every week, because we would if we could. Thank you as usual for providing such a wonderful place.
Wonderful dinner. Would go again without question.
When did they add Chowder Fries to the dinner menu ... a must try!
This was our 3rd visit to Radar, although it had been several months since our previous visit. On our first visit (over a year ago) we were impressed with the food and service. Actually, we liked it so much we chose to celebrate a birthday at Radar for our 2nd visit. Again, we thought everything was spot on. For our 3rd visit we invited friends to join us. Our server was friendly, but we felt that overall the food was sub-par from what we remembered from our previous visits. For example: the breading on the cauliflower fritters overwhelmed the cauliflower and was totally flavorless. The Moules Frites were overcooked and tiny, the frites were lukewarm, and the actual portion size was too small for the price.
We had a great time at Radar on Saturday night. Food, service, cocktails, and atmosphere made it a delightful evening.
Enjoyed a great date night out with or 6 month old. Although the space is small they were able to accommodate for us on a busy Friday night. Food was amazing and service was even better.
The wait staff is amazing! We feel the menu is too large to do justice to all the things they have listed. We think it would be better to concentrate on a few items and make them outstanding. My corn cakes were cold, the brisket in my opinion was too fatty. My husband’s baked eggs used what we thought were left over mashed potatoes and didn’t have enough seasoning or just care. This place has potential!
We were pleased by the food but the service was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone.
Scallops were amazing and the service was fun and personable!
I would describe the kale salad as DIVINE!
