Executive Chef Diego Moya's menu can neither be described as particularly French, nor particularly American. Here there is a strong focus on being vegetable forward, and working with local and sustainable farms, ranches, and fisheries. Featuring about a dozen small plates, a handful of entrées for one and a couple for two, Racines NY offers a flexible dining experience. Guests are strongly encouraged to order “pour la table,” but more than welcome to order individually à la carte.
Organic, biodynamic, natural vinifications, and small estates. These are the hallmarks of the Wine List, 2800 bottles deep, which is French-centric but global, curated by Arnaud Tronche and Master Sommelier Pascaline Lepeltier. Over 20 selections by-the-glass doesn’t hurt either.
Where else in New York can you put yourself in the hands of one of the only woman master sommeliers in the world, who’s an incredibly nice person passionate about her work,to choose your wines by the glass or bottle, and then end the evening with one of her favorite liqueurs...Chartreuse. And the chef’s small and large plate format is excellent. Their cabbage dish is so wonderful you’ll never again think of cabbage as a pedestrian vegetable. Add great service and a beautiful space, and what else could you ask for.
This place is truly exceptional. The staff is so kind. The wine menu is incredible and food never disappoints.
Go for the wine, stay for the food. Cocktails are excellent also,
Great atmosphere and delicious, original food. But the exciting wine list remains the highlight of the place, especially presented by the charming, brilliant sommelier Pascaline.
Excellent dinner tonight at Racines. I felt the same way last time I dined at the restaurant, but somehow, I forgot to visit again. Not next time!
As simple as it sounds, the grilled cabbage was AMAZING. Everything else that came out was phenomenal as well.
I’d recommend sitting at the chef’s counter so you can see all the food that’s coming out.
Great great great!
Thanks for the service and the incredible cuisine.
Excellent in every way. Top quality experience,
creative and original menu, well prepared and presented dishes, professional and present service, nicely spaced tables (for lower Manhattan), EXCELLENT wine service with true value present if you ask. All in all a great experience - again. Highly recommend!
Great, knowledgeable staff, always learn something and always have a great experience!
Interesting and short (this is good for me) menu. Good service. Great wine. Perfect noise level - there is a buzz so you feel the excitement in the air, but you can still hear your companions when they talk. Such a warm inviting space!
Our server was very helpful and friendly and the food was amazing.
Phenomenal wine selection and food was fantastic as well. Loved the vibe. Great service, lovely meal and setting.
Loved everything we are but the stuffed squid
Great selection of appetizers that are creative and delicious. The sauces are outstanding and everything is fresh. My wife had the trout and I had the duck. Both were very well prepared and we ordered some of the vegetable starters to pair with them. The service is top notch and the bartender is excellent. Highly recommended for special occasions
Thanks for a great dinner! We really enjoyed Rocky!
The fish dishes were uniques tasting and interesting. Our waiter was attentive and professional but relaxed.
Racine’s has been our favorite French Tribeca restaurant but Saturday was a disappointment. Perhaps it was us—but I don’t think so.
Fabulous experience. Impressive wine list. Brilliant combinations of flavors and textures.
Food was amazing and service was great as always.
Excellent food and service. For once the whole team knows the job, rare professionalism in this city. Super nice and respectful staff adding to the perfect diner experience. And what can be say about the outstanding wine list?
The toasted chicken is full of flavor, yet delicate. The neets and the tartare were fresh and well prepared. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and recommended the perfect wine. They dis not honor our reservation and had to stand at the entrance for half an hour
Excellent! Our 3rd time there for dinner. And will go again!
Great wine list, abrupt service & good, not amazing food. We need more than a great wine list to make us want to go again.
The food is outstanding and the wine exceptional. We love this restaurant!
My favorite spot in New York. Very friendly, amazing wine selection, delicious food, great setting. When I bring friends here, they feel the same.
Chef Diego Moya’s dishes are impressive. The leeks and lentils are my favorite appetizers there! The way he cooks the trout for the main is delicious too.
The Restaurant strikes all the right chords: it’s never too crowded or noisy, it’s always full of smiling staff, and the food & wine are unlike anything you’ve eaten anywhere else. Delicious, uncomplicated, precise.
Great wine list and ambiance. Plus waiters don't harass you every two second to try to get you to consume more or fill your water glass every time you take a sip, allowing you to enjoy yourself and your company.
Sadly, this wonderful restaurant is increasingly overpriced, especially the main courses and the wine.
The food was great, reasonably priced (for New York). Great menu for me, lots of meat and veg, all the service was very friendly and accommodating with none of that status symbol nonsense that most restaurants in New York have. I definitely plan to visit again.
Great local feeling with an incredible staff, food and wine list! Love it
A very pleasant atmosphere with very creative french influenced food and the most amazing sommelier you could find in NYC, still reasonnably priced.
I am happy to have done the trip just for that amazing evening.
Thank you all !
Lovely evening. Interesting wines selected by Somm. Almost all at the table are or were in the wine business and we were all totally pleased with the selections. Nice surprises!
The best wine service in NYC with incredible, fabulous food. Best duck in nyc.
We loved the delicious food and the wine list is extraordinary. Sommelière Pasceline Lepeltier helped us zero in on the perfect wine for dinner.
One of the city's finest for both its food and wine expertise.
Once again Racines over delivers - the food has improved from very good to great under the new chef and as usual the service is top notch
The wine offer is so gorgeous.
The sommelière is from the best!
great food and the best sommelier in NYC make this chic TriBeca bistro a great choice for a dinner date or with friends.
Huge disappointment. Small dishes were ok. The pork and steak were overpriced and flavorless. Not worth the hype.
