So sorry to see them close They were good, friendly with super food presentation and attitude
Unfortunately they are closing permanently . Will miss them!
We've been here a few times and have always enjoyed
Excellent as always. Burgers are the best in town. The bacon Is special. The pasta bolognese is terrific
While the food tasted very good I only rated it good because it took a long time to come out and when it did it was more cold than hot. Rather than say something and send it back, we ate it because we waited so long and were hungry.
All terrific ! Garden was lovely !
Started off good then service got slow and it was warm in the restaurant. Presentation was good BUT both Pork Chop dishes had to be sent back as they were overdone and dry. They replaced them and the ensuing dishes were very good. Good BUT they need to pay attention.
Great experience. The food was delicious and the service impeccable .
Took 1 1/2 hrs to have the appetizer brought to the table. Too much sugar in the parsnip puree. Scallops were good. The kitchen has got to speed up.
Good food as always. The best burger in town! Always friendly and accommodating.
There was a hair in our brussel sprouts. the lamb came out pretty raw. The cocktail was great.
Long wait time for the food but the restaurant was very nice about it and gave us free deserts.
Waited 1h to be served. Not a crowded night. No apologies. After 1h, the food was ok. Nothing exceptional.
I love Race Lane! I have dinner there at least twice a week. The food is amazing. I usually have the Hamachi as an appetiser when it's a special then the Salmon entree. It's amazing! So is the house salad. I go with friends or bring the kids. The lobster mac n cheese is always a hit with my kids along with the burgers! The service is very attentive.. It's a true gem.
Great meal on a busy Friday night. Our party of 6 was seated promptly and the food was delicious. Service was excellent. I would strongly recommend it!
Excellent food and attentive service. We love Race lane and come often.
Always good food, and good service. The best burger in town
Have been dining at Race Lane since it opened, and the new owners are just the most hospitable and welcoming people. Very attentive! Eric, the owner, made sure everything went smoothly for our party of 5 which was a friendly get-together. We sat outside in the lovely garden which was quiet. Have sat inside where it's moderately noisier, but not at all intrusive. Bar area is large and inviting; great to stop in and have a cocktail. Can't go wrong with Race Lane. Always a lovely evening out!
We were celebrating my friend's Bachelorette Party and Race Lane was amazing! Our server Jessica was SO great, and the entire staff was very sweet and attentive. The food was out of this world (the burger and bolognese were both to die for, but everything we had was unbelievable) and they even brought out a special sundae dessert with a sparkler for the Bride! We had never been to East Hampton before and we had a fabulous time thanks in part to the great staff at Race Lane!
Wonderful and unhurried
Always steady. Food is consistent. Won't blow your socks off, but never bad.
Consistently great quality food and service, never disappoints.
Entrees take far too long to come out of the kitchen. Shouldn't go on thursday, friday or saturday.
Great service, very warm & professional. Hamburger is terrific.
We had a wonderful experience at Race Lane. We sat outdoors and thought the outdoor seating area was very cute. The food was delicious and the service was good as well. An all-around great experience!
Always find this restaurant a pleasant experience and this visit was consistent with that.
Seated upon arrival on time. Excellent service and great specials.
Overall an excellent experience in a difficult town especially on a weekend.
This was my first experience at Race Lane.We were warmly greeted at the door, found the food to be delicious, enjoyed the ambiance ,but felt that our waiter came from the land of "no".
When asked for the daily specials he told us he'd let us know when he brought the drinks.
At 6:10 when we were ordering the prix fixe he told us it was over at 6pm. When I showed him that 2 of our menus clearly stated 6:30 he again insisted it was over at 6pm.When I asked to speak with the manager he answered in a condescending voice that there was no manager but he'd get the owner.Luckily he did because the owner graciously came over and said she'd honor the 6:30 time. Because of the owner we will be returning.
Probably the worst dining experience I can remember. From the moment we walked in we were rudely greeted by hostess - the owner's wife. We had a dinner reservation there on Saturday ( July 2nd ) for 8.15pm and we were seated at 9.10pm. We were disappointed as we booked this reservation weeks ago. Owner's wife - hostess was extremely unprofessional and rude as well as her husband- manager. Owners could at least offered us some comp drinks or simply apologize for the inconvenience. Instead of apologizing, the owners acted like an arrogant, pompous jerks who does not understand how to run an establishment or anything about customer service. We were finally seated after 9pm. We waited for our food for an hour after we had eaten our appetizers. It was getting so late and we were very upset and wanted to talk to owners but they simply ignored our complains. Our waitress asked them 2 times to come to our table but they never did. She knew how bad we were treated entire time and was not able to offer a drink or two ! Instead she advised us to talk to them after paying the bill to see if they could do something for us. We left the restaurant at 10.30pm. We have been to some of the finest restaurants around the world and we are not difficult people at all and we have never been treated like this before. I'll be not returning and will be advising family and friends not to go there.
Race Lane was, unlike other Hamptons restaurants, widely available for the Saturday of July 4th weekend, and I now understand why. Although the waiter was perhaps not at fault, the service was poor. A salad I explicitly ordered after being assured that I could get it without cucumbers had cucumbers. The burgers ordered medium rare were medium to medium well. And there was a long delay before our drinks were brought out, before the appetizer was served and before the main course was served. The waiter, called over by us, said the restaurant was full (as were almost all Hamptons restaurants that weekend), and they were doing their best, and he did provide separate times half glasses of wine as compensation.
The food is Hamptons expensive and the salad undistinguished and the burger dry and overdone (the bacon on it was very good).
Restaurant had the worst possible working conditions the night of our dinner (torrential downpour, power outage, etc) but did not effect the entire team or level of service. Food still came out delicious and our waiter maintained an upbeat energy the entire time. Can't wait to return!
