On the menu: a unique blend of Anglo-Saint-Lucian cuisine; contemporary dishes influenced by the West Indies and Britain, with roasted cacao beans used as a subtle savoury spice and garnish – just as they had been in the centuries before chocolate was invented – as well as the rich, deep heart of desserts.

Outstanding food, service and experience at Rabot 1745. We were so impressed with everything beginning to end. We felt welcomed, looked after and the food and drink was absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to come again!
Very friendly service and staff, one of the best roast dinners we've had, will definitely visit again when we're in that London again ...
My goodness, Sunday Lunch at Rabot is absolutely divine! We all had the chicken which was cooked to perfection with such a delicious coating and delightful gravy to match with the fresh garden vegetables. You can't go wrong with the nice selection of chocolate-based desserts - Pear tarlet, deconstructed Black Forest Gateau, Selection of chocolate mousses - all my friends enjoyed each one. Topped off with a really attentive and friendly service.
Interesting menu, great service and nice atmosphere. The food is well executed and all the cacoa elements are quite subtle.
We booked to be in the terrace but because the weather was atrocious we were seated inside which was lovely. All members of staff who we encountered while we were having our meal were lovely. We had waited a long time to celebrate when our original booking was 23/3/20 but we incorporated my husbands birthday which was 28/121 and the chef made a special Happy Birthday desert. We would highly recommend
I had a fantastic evening catching up with old friends accompanied by great food from the festive set menu, accompanied with excellent service
Third visit to Rabot in the last 6 years (don't live in London) and the food continues to be great. The lava chocolate dessert was delicious! I do feel the restaurant is starting to look a bit tired and the toilets were not very clean at all. That was a bit disappointing, but the food is definitely worth it. Service was very good too.
Amazing food! Great setting and service. Will definitely be back.
Food was really good, although the white chocolate mash was slightly disappointing. Also portion sizes could be larger on some dishes. But thoroughly enjoyed it and would go again.
Setting is great as it’s in borough market, wrap up as it’s outdoor dining. Server was rather rude, we wanted a Sunday lunch at 12.30 and she kept telling us it wasn’t midday so it had to be brunch. Eventually got rectified and we ordered 2 Sunday lunches, one medium and one medium rare. The Yorkshire puddings were also brick hard. Both steaks came very pink, due to lack of servers walking about we didn’t ask for it to be cooked more.
I was excited about the cocktails with them being hotel chocolat, I ordered the white chocolate mojito thinking there would be a slight sweetness, it was very sour.
Just under £70 for 2 main course, 1 cocktail and 1 coke. I don’t mind paying for nice meals but this fell very short. I’ve never not tipped in a restaurant but felt I didn’t want to pay the 12.5% which is automatically added onto the bill, however in the end I paid it. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go again.
Lovely ambience, food & the location is perfect. The food was not heavy or rich & just right. The hot chocs were lovely, easy to drink & lovely combo with dark choc and flavours. Over all great for breakfast or brunch.
Always great food and service. Marin made it extra special with his friendly suggestions regarding the menu. Good heating made the terrace comfortable too.
Food was tasty and well presented, location was good and staff were lovely.
The food was excellent and also the ambience but a special mention must go to Marin the waiter who really did look after us. Very impressive. Drvssvs56
Very nice atmosphere, is pricey but worth it for a special occasion. If you love chocolate then you need to come here at least once !
Excellent food, and the terrace is very comfortable although the trains going in and out of the station can make it a little loud.
Lovely night and server was very friendly and recommended the best wine.
We found Rabot 1745 on a previous visit to London and I couldn't wait to go back. It was as good as the first time some 4 years ago.
Thoroughly enjoyed the menu and in particular my lamb was cooked to perfection - 'pink'. The service was great. We eat on the outside veranda which had good air flow in these covid times and was heated. The only downside was the noise of the trains going through London Bridge, which would intermittently make conversation difficult.
Amazing tasty food and drinks With good service and ambience
Amazing food and attentive service, would highly recommend
Train sounds was loud and it wasn't good for my tinnitus , service charge is high otherwise it was a good experience,
Great location and ambience. Nice food, but rather pricey.
Delicious food with a subtle chocolatey twist. The food was well presented and reasonably priced. Portion sizes were perfectly manageable sized. We went on a Sunday for a birthday so had the Sunday Menu - the beet wellington and roast chicken were delicious, and we got a nice treat with our dessert :)
The service was great and servers very friendly, and the overhead heaters ensured we didn't get cold sitting on the terrace.
The staff and head waiter were friendly, and particular the Principal Front of House was very welcoming. Lovely food, in a slightly sterile atmosphere (no doubt not helped by covid), although the brunch menu in my opinion did not seem to be improved by the chocolate 'notes', and i suspect are more influential on the Mains menu. The biggest let down was the service I'm afraid. We were entirely left alone after the initial order was fulfilled and any opportunities to order further drinks or food had to be chased. Given the price, reputation and timing of the day (late brunch into lunch), I was left very disappointed. What food we did have though was nice but the inattention would make me unlikely to return.
Lovely birthday dinner for my friend. Menu was excellent & food delicious. Had some very nice cocktails & wine too. A little noisy from the cleaning machines in Borough Market around 6ish which was loud but didn’t last for long & not much the restaurant can do as we chose the terrace. Overall a great time had!!
Food was very average. Would not bother to go again nothing special
Excellent experience all round.
Ordered a roast. Food was luke warm and was cold by the time we finished.
Yorkshire pudding nearly busted a molar! Couldn't eat it.
The waitress was lovely so can't complain about the service.
Just a shame about the food. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen
Beet wellington very good, ditto molten lava chocolate cake. Cherry part of black forest cake good, chocolate component disappointing. Where was the chocolate? Thought this was a chocolate restaurant. Too much tasteless creamy goo.
Cocktails, food and wine were all excellent. Nice window table and no pressure to finish or hurry.
lovely brunch with great ambiance and excellent service.
Fantastic food and drink. We will certainly be back!
Lovely food, great experience
We felt that the starter and main courses were bland .We were expecting a little spice in them
As this was a Caribbean meal
We think you are try to use Hotel Chocolate as the draw
and for a lunch the meal was a bit pricey.
We enjoyed Sunday lunch here, I had the roast beef, it was amazing, I cannot wait to get back and have it again, the tastiest beef cooked perfectly with vegetables and a light Yorkshire pudding, followed by sticky toffee pudding, mmmmmm. Marin served us again, with the highest level of courtesy and professionalism. Everyone enjoyed the prosecco, the beer and the food - we got the train home with satisfaction and full bellies.
Olivia is one of the most charming and kind members of a restaurant team, so that was very pleasant. Mac and cheese was quite nice and different, the Sunday roast however was disappointing, the meat was tough and pale, the vegetables barely there, the tiny parsnip tip was hard, the roast potatoes (or one potato cut into three?) bland and quite underdone and a sprig of tender stem broccoli cut into three slivers. Overall rather a mean so called portion of veg! The dessert, Black Forest was quite strange, a splodge of cream sprinkled with a bit of cake, a few cherries and that was it. All for just shy of £100. Disappointing? Very.
Amazing food, fantastic service!! They made a real effort for my partners birthday. Would go again!
Lovely to sit on the rooftop overlooking Borough Market. Great value afternoon tea, fantastic service & amazing cocktails
I went with my two daughters and although the menu was limited it was certainly sufficient for us. It's well positioned and the service was attentive.
