The Rabot Terrace brings the Saint Lucian party spirit to London this summer! The open-air dining space is a free spirit just like a Saint Lucian ‘jump-up’. A relaxing island get-together for drinks, food and music outdoors after sunset. Please specify a terrace booking in the special request box.
At heart of London’s most exciting food market, Rabot 1745 offers a ‘cacao cuisine’ menu featuring contemporary dishes influenced by the West Indies and Britain, with the savoury richness of cacao used as a subtle garnish, infusion and spice throughout.
Great food and cocktails. Service wasn't rushed and we had a great 3hour dining experience
The toilets were absolutely filthy and stunk really badly. Wet floors, loo roll on the floor, and smelt so bad, putting a real damper on what should have been a perfect meal. Also two male waiters (one upstairs, one downstairs) smelt of cigarette smoke, which we all noticed an was yet another smelly experience added on!! I would not go again on account of the dirty toilets.
Really inquire and a great experience. Would recommend for a drinks or a meal.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend Rabot1745. We’ll be back.
Can't recommend for a business lunch given the slow service. We were waiting over an hour for our mains.
The desserts are why you come here and its difficult to enjoy when you are rushed for time.
I took my boyfriend on his birthday. Great Service and delicious authentic cuisine.
It started with a waitress standing by the till right at the entrance to the restaurant and totally ignoring us when I said hello upon arrival. She continued to ignore us and eventually a colleague arrived to say hello and ask us to wait for her to sit us. We waited probably 3 minutes until we were eventually sat down. We arrived 5 min past our booking time.
Then, we waited a great amount of time to order some drinks.
Finally, food arrived, and although the food was good, the portions were absolutely tiny for the price and on top of it, my small piece of pulled beef (for 21 quid) had a bit of rope in it. I got a sad explanation from the waiter and manager and no compensation whatsoever.
I didn’t end up finishing as I lost my appetite after chewing on the rope.
Was great start to finish! Food was absolutely delicious especially the mac and cheese and service was outstanding
Very nice, great view of Borough Market, nice afternoon tea with a difference.
The restaurant has such a lovely ambience, we sat outside and the heat lamps provided the perfect temperature. My only niggle would be the cake in the Black Forest Gateaux dessert was quite dry, which you think being a chocolate cake it would be spot on. The hot chocolate is the best ever and I brought my friend who is vegan, of which there were plenty of choices for and her pear tart crumble was to die for! Great staff too, quick enough service to say it was a Saturday!
The food and service were excellent. The lady that was serving us was very caring, friendly and attentive. It was rather noisy as they were cleaning the Borough Market. The food was delicious and we had a great time. Highly recommended.
Great food, outdoor seating and cocktails
Quirky menu however overpriced and portions are tiny. Okay to try once but wouldn’t go back again unfortunately!
Excellent food, all with a slight chocolate twist. This might sound a little odd, but works remarkably well. Probably the best food we have had for a very long time!
Simply excellent! Would definitely recommend and revisit!
This place is amazing! Definitely try one of the chocolatey cocktails. We also sat on the roof terrace outside overlooking the market which was really nice.
Waiter was great & food wonderful!
This was a present from daughter & son in law for anniversary & will definitely go back again. Thank you
The dishes we had were all very late - we had to wait an hour between starters and mains and another 45 minutes between main course and dessert. When the food came out it was cold and the seriously lacking in any chocolatey/cocoa flavour - especially the 'white chocolate mash' which was substandard mash with no taste of chocolate.
We had also ordered a plat of the mac and cheese for the table - which was meant to be vegetarian but when I cut into it, it looked like there was pulled pork underneath. We asked the waiter and cooks to confirm it was vegetarian - which they did, but I took one bite and was not convinced. Then with dessert - the waiters came over to apologise and said it was meat! I am pleased I did not trust them.
Won't be returning.
Great place overall with delicious food and great ambience. I will definitely be back.
Really tasty food, excellent service, worth the money! Great vegan options.
The large delay between ordering and getting the starters, and then from finishing the starters and having mains was due to shortage of staff in the kitchen. The manager apologised and we were compensated, so it was dealt with really well. Food ranged from superb (scallops) to dry (burger), and the chocolate inclusion was sometimes odd (chocolate sauce with burger and chips..?), but overall the food was good. The smell of smoke from the outside area wafted inside the restaurant which was unfortunate.
Very small servings and average flavours. Service was also very slow.
Kitchen shuts at 10pm making a 9.30pm booking pointless. We were rushed throughout our meal and the experience was not enjoyable.
Fantastic restaurant and food, portions are on the smaller side so order sides or go for extra course. Noise level low with fantastic ambience. Bar can also get busy but restaurant is well maintained
Great food even if you don’t like chocolate !
Enjoyed the food and wine. Very good service too. Overpriced in my opinion hence 3 star on value. Worth going once if you like food you won't have anywhere else though. The house wine was out of stock that day despite the fact the table was booked for 7pm!
Tasty, inventive food, beautifully presented. There was a good range for both the carnivore (my partner) and me. Portions were slightly on the small side, but that left room for dessert which as you'd expect, were chocolatey and delicious. We were delayed and had to call and change the time of our booking which wasn't an issue and service was helpful and polite.
Having booked standard seating we were placed on a table outside anyway, which was wonderful. It was a warm evening, however the terrace was within the market, therefore protected from the wind and the tables had heaters, had it been necessary. Delightful venue and the menu was incredible. Staff very friendly and we had a fabulous evening. Would also be fun to go when the market was open to hear/watch the activity!
Been before and will probably go again. Lovely food and wine along with great service.
A wonderful dining experience with attentive service. The chocolate addition to every meal adds an exotic flavour to the quality selection of food.
The wine list is well thought out to accompany the interesting flavours.
Around £70 A head for 3 courses and wine.
A real treat
An absolute must for real chocolate lovers. Went there with my husband, had 3 courses each and pretty much licked all the plates. The chocolate-rich menu is not just a gimmick, the food was absolutely fantastic! Will definitely return for the winter menu.
Food was excellent! We both had three corses, a bottle of wine and coffee to finish. The service was spot on and the waiter was a credit to Rabot. Had a nice seat looking towards the Shard although we had the choice to sit on the terrace overlooking Borough Market.
This is my second visit. Love the food as the blend of flavours is very pleasing. Came after a visit to the theatre and everyone had a meal they enjoyed, catered well for the vegetarian in our group. We were able to chat as the noise level was not too high. Easy location and a good night out.
Amazing food and great service in an exciting place. Will definitely visit again and recommend family and friends to try it out as well.
Very expensive for chateaubriand which is usually a large piece of beef. Not so here. More like an appartmentbriand
Otherwise good but too pricey with 12.5% service on top
Food was outstanding and served with efficiency and friendliness. Could not fault any aspect of this experience.
Really great place for brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and/or a celebration. The staff couldn’t have been mire friendly and helpful, the food was all exquisite and the ambience around the bustling market was great. Only the frequent thunder of trains was annoying but given the location is practically on London Bridge platforms, there’s nothing can be done about that if you’re dining on the outside deck
We had a really good dinner at Rabot 1745. The menu was interesting, the server what charming, with a playful attitude but good opinions about the choices on the menu. And Borough Market just has a good vibe.
Booked table for my manger & his guest, they both really enjoyed their meal
First time visiting this restaurant, but most certainly not the last. Fantastic food throughout our meal and a good atmosphere even though it was a week night and not full. Very much enjoyed and look forward to coming back soon.
