Absolutely delicious. We split crab balls, lobster and tomato salad, lobster bisque, I had lobster ravioli and my husband had a lobster roll. The bread served with tapenade was amazing
Pre race pasta dinner for the Boston Marathon. Needed gluten free pasta so we came here. Food was very good!
We had a fantastic dining experience at Rabia's. We had Risotto ai Frutti di Mare. It was excellent!! Great restaurant. The owner is very accommodating. Next time in Boston we will definitely go back to this restaurant.
Had to wait 45 Minutes for our 8pm table for 6. With no compensation. The owner said the table was “just signing the check” for over 20 Minutes.
We had a reservation but it seemed as management had no way to track reservations and only sat people who were closest to the door. This place was completely disorganized but the food was amazing so I would recommend coming back at an off time for a better experience
Excellent Italian / Seafood dishes in the heart of Bostons' Italian North End. You will not be disappointed.
Best Italian seafood restaurant I’ve been to in years
Sat us even though we were an hour early
Only downside is that parking nearby is almost impossible, so expect to shell out another $40 to park or take the parking summons
Oyster was super fresh
We have been going to Rabia's for years. Whenever we go to Boston, we find an evening to eat dinner on the Italian side.
There is a couple of elements that used to be part of the restaurant that we really miss. Candles on the table would make this restaurant even more romantic. We wish they would bring these back. The second thing we miss is the linguini with mushrooms! With all the competition in the neighborhood, these details are critical.
We will continue to go there!
The seafood was very fresh. And the meal was delicious. Would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Made an early lunch reservation as my party was leaving town directly after lunch. Reservation was confirmed per app.Arrived 10 minutes before opening. Waited outside until 11 am, entered, only to be told “we won’t be open for at least a half hour. “ no explanation, no apology!
Why wait for HOURS to get into Neptune (three doors down) when Rabia's is such a gem?!! They might not have the fame, but what a fabulous spot! Felt like we'd ducked into a homey little cafe in Italy 🇮🇹! Loved the friendly waiter who invited us inside. Got a comfortable table for our party of five. Great bottle of Pinot Grigio...ordered a second! Dozen and a half fresh, delicious East Coast oysters with all the accoutrements. Fresh baked Italian style bread, with olive oil and a yummy dip of pesto. Crab 🦀 claws, too! On to supper ... Fantastic steak, perfectly cooked, for the not-seafood-fan-yet teenager. Giant bowl of seafood = The Deadly Catch...Wow! Plenty for two. The Amalfi Seafood Pasta made my hubby smile 😃! And the Frutti de Mare con Pesto...my goodness! I couldn't stop eating it! We are all back at the hotel and STILL talking about it. Wish we'd had room for all the fresh, homemade desserts and espresso... But had to start walking back. Skip the line nearby and get to know Rabia's! We are so glad we found it!!! 👍❤🎉 Thanks, dear Concierge! 👏
We were excited to try a new place in the North End for Easter. The food for the most part was delicious, the seafood mostly, we had the mussels which were very good and the lobster ravioli was great too. The seafood paella was great and the lamb was very tasty. Shrimp cocktail was average but I would not recommend the steak - it was over cooked the first time and the second try was not much better. The cheese ravioli were not kid friendly, it was a very strong smoked cheese taste which they did not care for. Steamers were tastey too.
The ambiance was lacking, there were two sides to the restaurant and we were seated on the side with the bar eventhough we had reservations for Easter and when asked to sit on the other side they said they were not able to accommodate 7 people. I was disappointed becasue we had reservations and the bar side was just that, some tables with more of a "bar feel" to the room. The mens bathroom was broken and the women's room could use a touch up.
If your looking for a causal spot for good seafood I would recommend otherwise there are plenty of other restuarants to choose from in the North End that surpass this place.
The waiter was hard to find because it was so busy. Never said thank you.... just dropped the bill on the table. The calamari fritte was just ok... kind of flavorless but the chicken parmigiana was fantastic.
Food was excellent, but, restaurant is entirely too small for the number of tables. Waiting area is outdoors.
We had my husband's birthday dinner at Rabia. We had five children and seven adults. They were so accommodating on every level. They handled each request professionally and expertly. It was a great night from appetizer, wine, dinner to dessert. Delicious.
Great !!! Dining with my love
Fabulous food! Lots of fresh seafood and non seafood. We had the power house - wow! Two lobster halves, mussels, scallops, clams & calamari over pasta. Enough left over for another meal. Fantastic!
A little crowded slightly understaffed. Waiter needed to be reminded multiple times for items.
Great lobster rolls and calamari. The rest of my dining party went for the Italian side of the menu and all were very pleased. Highly recommended.
Good food and ambiance; only downsides were the weight time between each visit from the waiter and there was a smoke detector with low batteries that beeped the entire time we were there
Food was pretty good but we didn’t realize the bar only included wine, beer and cordials.
I took my sister to Rabias for her birthday dinner. I indicated that on the reservation, but it was not acknowledged unfortunately. Out waiter was ok, the food was great!
We had a reservation at 8:15pm and were not seated until 8:35. Service was incredibly slow and the waitress at the bar and our table seemed like she did not want to serve us or be there at all. We’ve been here a few times before and the service was never this awful
The seating went well -waited about 10 minutes w/reservation. Nice atmosphere. The food was good but portions compared to price were quite unbalanced. I would not go back.
Had a wonderful time. Everything was great. Will frequent often
Service was great and all of their fish dishes are amazing and very fresh
I had forgotten how good a restaurant Rabia's is, since I had not been there for a while. I won't wait so long to go back again.
I am celiac and got the Lobster Risotto and it was PHENOMENAL! The staff was really kind. I was kind of shocked, we went on a weekend and it was surprisingly not packed. They also have gluten free pasta which I was super pumped about. They have a TON of options and they have lobster alive in the restaurant and my friend from out of town got really excited about that. I love this place, I want to keep going over and over again, it is so delicious and definitely a hidden gem!!
We love Rabia and go every time when in Boston. The grilled squid appetizer is our favorite.
I've said this before: Each time I go to Rabia's it's better than the last visit. My companion arrived first, 15 minutes early, (7:15), but was seated right away. You know how you go to a restaurant and you want it to be everything you said it would be? That's Rabia's. The service was thoughtful, the meal was excellent, and afterward to strolled around the North End. What's not to love.
The food was fantastic. Power Up Pasta is amazing. Best Chicken Parm in the North End.
Great customer service for a “fun” 6 person group!!
Rabias will always be my favorite north end spot. The seafood dishes are unmatched amywhere else. I came here for the first time on a trip to Boston 4 years ago and have continued coming back ever since.
I have never been to this restaurant before. We went with a group of eight people. The waiter was not friendly at all. The average meal on the menu is $23 the specials did not have any price. We all ordered specials and then asked the special meal prices and were told they were $45-$65 and a special appetizers with $30. We did end up changing our order to order off the regular menu but very very turned off that they did not have prices on the special menu. Will never go back
Service was unfriendly and inattentive. Food was spotty - my husband's chicken francese was delicious, but my chicken piccata was tough and inedible. I would avoid this restaurant if you have kids in tow. There is no kids menu (not a problem, I just wish I'd known in advance) and the menu makes ordering for kids a bit difficult (ravioli is made with smoked mozzarella, which was not a big hit with my kids). The waiter never offered a wine menu and never checked on us once he took the order. I would try somewhere else next time and would recommend the same to others. They do take reservations, which is nice for the North End.
Classic Italian preparation of seafood—very fresh seafood. Best meal of our several days in Boston.
Haven't been in a while, but it never let's me down. Food was amazing!
Cozy atmosphere. Prompt knowledgeable service by Henry. Food was great. Enjoyed outstanding fresh lobster dishes. Gnocchi w/ pesto was delicious. Nice wine list. Will be back.
