A repeat visit to an old favorite but it was a school holiday (and Holi) week and seemed a bit off and definitely much emptier than usual for a Friday night. The tandoori chicken seemed artificially tenderized and not roasted recently enough. A coconut curry didn’t taste of coconut. The lamb gosh was tasty though. We will try again before concluding that the slippage is permanent.
Always an enjoyable place to have dinner with the family.
This is our go-to place for Indian food in Westchester, and we travel 25 minutes to get there. It is worth it. This is not your typical Indian restaurant. They have authentic dishes that no other Indian restaurant in Westchester has. On a Saturday night they were packed, but service was excellent, as was the food. The prices are higher than typical Indian restaurants, but the quality of the food far surpasses any other place in the county. The people are always so kind and welcoming. They gave me a free dessert with a lit candle for my birthday. We had our son's wedding luncheon here and it was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I love Raasa. It’s the best Indian Restaurant in Westchester.
Amazing food in the lunch buffet. I am a regular for dinner. They cater the spice to your need if you order alacarte! Yummy maa ki daal and biryani!
Loved our dinner. Food and service were superb.
We came here for dinner to celebrate my parent's anniversary. Overall the restaurant was nice and would be willing to revisit at less busy hours or get their food for takeout. I was upset with the service from the moment we arrived. When we arrived the man at the front was taking care of something. He looked up at us and continued to do what he was doing, without greeting us. Our reservation was on a Saturday night right before the prime dinner hours. Within 15 minutes of our party of 5 arriving, we placed our order in. We got our apps at an appropriate time but the main dishes took 45 additional minutes to get to us and they had forgotten the second order of naan.
It was definitely a pleasure having dinner in this great establishment. The host was very warm and inviting. I was very happy to find that they had private parking. We we're seated right away and our server Ash was very helpful with the Specials and explaining the choices being offered. We ordered 2 appetizers that were delicious. The Andhra Chili Chicken and Keema Samosa. Entrees we chose the Chicken Tikka Masala and Goat Biryani, all the dishes were very good. Dessert we had the Chocolate Souffle and Kulfi Falooda. I was simply amazed with all the unique flavors each dish possessed. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the options that I simply couldn't have this time around. I was very pleased. Great Job!
Never disappoints. Tasty dishes, large variety, fresh ingredients, attentive service. This isn't elegant dining, but it is by far our favorite Indian restaurant in central Westchester. You always see Indian families and couples eating here, a good sign food is authentic, well-prepared, and fairly priced. I should add that in winter, they do a good job keeping the place warm; sounds like not worth mentioning, but we've all been in places where cold drafts or insufficient heat interfere with your enjoyment of the experience. It would be nice if seating were a little more comfortable, but I mention that only in an effort to find something to criticize. This is certainly one restaurant where vegans can find a great menu and well-flavored food.
We have been several times and generally enjoy the food. The night we went, they were a bit understaffed so the service was slow. Overall, it is a very good restaurant with above average Indian food. I would recommend it.
We love Raasa.
The food is the best in Westchester and Connecticut.
Malabar Hill back in the 90s was our go to and you’d think a restaurant in the same location would not be an improvement. But it is.
We heart Raasa.
Such a lovely place to celebrate a birthday or just a family dinner. The atmosphere is lovely and the food was great. We will definitely be returning.
I HAVE BEEN TO RA ASA A NUMBER OF TIMES AND IT NEVER DISAPPOINTS - THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS , THE PORTIONS ARE AMPLE AND VERY GOOD VALUE. SERVICE IS VERY ATTENTIVE.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN WESTCHESTER !!
Great food and good service! Highly recommend it!
Food was good overall but the service was disappointing and it wasn’t because they were that busy.
Lovely place. Food was excellent !
Our favorite Indian restaurant- good food and service and atmosphere is also nice
This is our favorite Indian restaurant. The food is superb and the service is excellent. They have an extensive menu with choices for the most discerning guests. We go there once a month and always have a great time.
Raasa is reliably good, not over-seasoned indian food in a central location
It was a birthday dinner. We enjoy the food immensely.
We had a great dinner at Raasa - there were three of us including our 13 year old and we all found something that looked good on the menu and each dish exceeded our expectations. The coconut rice was the surprise winner though - it was amazing and made everything else taste even better. Great service as well. A bit noisy but nothing too distracting.
The food was not prepared hot enough. It seemed like it was precooked before.
I came to this restaurant because I was at a conference nearby. Sunday is a brunch day and I must say they had my favorite dishes out and they were all delicious. The food was fresh and very tasty. My friend and I really enjoyed the food and our waiter was very attentive so overall it was a great. I will definitely come back.
The food is very good here, but on a Saturday night, it was extremely slow. My husband’s chicken biryani was hot and delicious. My tandoori shrimp was good, but lukewarm at best. It took more than an hour to get our entrees, so I didn’t want to send it back. Our roti didn’t come with the meal, and when I reminded our server about it, he apologized and said it was coming. Of course, it didn’t arrive until after I finished my food (but it was hot and tasty when it came). I would go back, but only if I was prepared to wait a while.
Been there a few times always good until the last time. They had a bad kitchen day and will go back again hoping it was an aberration.
Second time here and Raasa will be our go to Indian restaurant in Westchester. Food was fresh, lively and filled with those spices and techniques you want from Indian cuisine. Next time we're going hot!
I love this restaurant! The food is great, the service is great. It is our go to spot with friends. They are always so warm and friendly.
Exceptional service, bright and airy dining room, creative northern India dishes, worth the drive, on-site parking a big plus.
The appetiser wasn’t very good. We ordered chicken something- but it was more like chicken with some onions, bellpepers and tomato sauce.
The main dinner was very tasty. We ordered chicken tikka masala and roti/naan.
The staff can be way more friendly and smile a bit!
I love the food at Raasa. I tried the shrimp tandoori tonight-it was excellent.
Food was amazing and service was exceptional. This will be a frequent spot for me.
The best Indian food in Westchester! Great food, great service, at a fair price. The owners are a lovely & friendly couple who care that you have a great meal & experience.
Never disappoints. Our favorite local Indian restaurant.
My fave Westchester Indian restaurant.
The food was delicious - and not everything was spicy. The waiters were friendly and helpful for those of us, who were unfamiliar with Indian food. We had a really good time and will be back again.
Very pretty interior. Lovely staff and good food and service. Not the first time either. Consistently good even with my special requests. We will be back!
Wonderful Indian food!!
Raasa never disappoints! The specials are always creative and outstanding. This has become our go - to Indian restaurant in Westchester. On this evening, we invited some friends who also enjoyed it immensely.
Visited after write up in Journal News. My wife and I both enjoy Indian cuisine but find most Indian restaurants' food to be rather bland. Raasa's menu was fairly standard, but the specials were not. Everything was fresh and NOT bland. The Vindaloo had a nice burn to it, and although both of our dishes were very "saucy" they tasted fantastic and were well prepared. I rarely give 5's, so 4's should be considered high marks!
