To the Wonderful Raaga Staff and Paddy,
Thank you for all your hard work, great service, terrrrrriffic food, and smiles!
We wish you the very best,
Becky and John
Dinner was wonderful, as always. We went that night to have our last dinner there, as they are closing in two days.
Great food - too bad it's closing!
My heart is breaking because this will be our last time at Raaga. Thank you Chef Paddy for your many years of excellent Indian food.
Dick, the owner, runs a fun and smooth operation with a fantastic chef. The vibe is great the minute you walk in. It's everything you'd want for a casual night out. Caring, friendly, great service, great food for a very good value.
The food was very delicious, a wonderful neighborhood standout and very authentic Indian food. I like my food spicy so you can request the amount of spice needed.
Out second trip here. Love it. Highly recommend it.
Flash-fried spinach salad is fantastic. Very tasty entree. A little confusion on our reservation but resolved quickly. Our waiter made excellent suggestions and helped with our choices. Same waiter as last year for similar event. One of our Santa Fe pleasures.
The atmosphere at Raaga is very nice as was the service. Diners have the option of specifying the desired spice level of entrees. The chef is a master of spices. However, compared to other East Indian restaurants in the area, the portion sizes seemed somewhat small.
Good, if expensive, curries. But so cramped, jostling, and noisy that it made for a dreadful evening.
Excellent Indian food with original seasoning. Fried spinach salad was outstanding.
Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, in addition to being friendly. He explained that the food comes in seven levels of "heat," and recommended we stick to Level 3 or lower. I went for a shrimp dish with a sauce that was not on the menu for shrimp but for chicken; our waiter explained that we could mix and match the sauce, so I did. Very tasty, a bit on the hot side but not a problem. Eat outdoors if you can; we sat on the front porch on a pleasant afternoon.
My family and I make it to Raaga every time we visit Santa Fe. It is one of our favorite restaurants and always something to look forward to. Being from New York, we have very high standards when it comes to Indian food and Raaga never disappoints:
Fabulous Indian food. Spinach salad was one of the best menu items ever
I had such high hopes after hearing so much about this place. The fried spinach salad starter WAS fabulous. The next best dish was the chicken zafran as the saffron taste was up front and so different. We also had the lamb tikka masala which was tasteless and nothing unique, and the chicken biryani which was dry and lacking flavor. Great service but lackluster food and surroundings.
I love this resteraunt. One of the best in my book. I always give 5's, however I found a piece of metal in my lamb palak that cut my mouth and throat pretty bad. Dissapointed with this experience.
Flies outside were a problem. Waiter forgot to bring the side of hot sauce. Otherwise everything was great.
We eat at Raaga every time we are in Santa Fe which is monthly. If we lived there full time it would be a weekly eating spot
Raaga is always a home run. The food is so so good. We love it!!!
The food was excellent and the chef will prepare dishes to your preference of spiciness,
