The food was ok, the staff seemed rushed. Overall it was an average sushi place, not worth a special trip.
RA needs to hire more staff. This is a favorite place of ours, but service was slow. Server and bar were very busy.
We will return soon and hope management will improve situation.
We had a variety of appetizers and rolls, and everything was delicious. Dinner had a fun party vib.
Service wasn’t great and food was not great.
I had the hibachi shrimp and filet minon. It came out lukewarm. Not cold, not hot as it should be.
Delicious, creative sushi and more, Absolutely delicious. Noise level is over the top, though, making conversation difficult. I will absolutely go back, and would recommend it highly--I'll just be sure to get outdoor seating (especially if I'm with my mother-in-law, who, on this visit, was very unhappy with the noise level and had trouble hearing conversation).
When I arrived they told me that my reservation did not exist in their system. Hostess was ultimately rude and disrespectful to my wife when my wife asked her if it may have been a spelling error. The food is usually good I didn’t stay long enough to eat however. I would recommend ra sushi just not the Tucson location.
Good place to eat outdoors. Busy but safe. Nothing special about their Japanese food but not bad.
From the hostess to every server and bus boy we encountered, it was clear no one wanted to be there. It was one of the most unwelcoming places we’ve ever dined. Our server was sub par at best.
I ordered two rolls one came at the time everyone at my table got their food, the other roll took about 30 min after everyone way done with their food. The waitress kept telling me my food was coming. Very disappointed.
Was very busy and not much distancing. Were seated by two large, loud parties indoors, so suggest sitting outside if possible. As a result, service was not great. Food a little overpriced and not the best sushi in town.
Wonderful experience!! Sat at the bar window seat!! So much fun!!
Had a reservation, got there 10 minutes early. The restaurant was almost empty but they wouldn’t seat us. Had to continually ask for items like water, soy sauce. The girl server seemed more interested in getting off than serving. Ordered a bottle of wine, she opened it and just left it at the table, no pour. I felt like we were at a college bar rather a bar in a high end mall. Fortunately, the server dumped us on a new server who was top notch and covered her numerous errors. We won’t be back.
We had to wait a very long time for our food.
Bento Box hit the spot
It’s was my husbands birthday- I put that on the reservation- nobody offered dessert or anything. We actually had to find some random hostess to help us get our check so we could pay. Our waitress was so busy- she didn’t even get my husband a refill - even after he asked her 3 times. Everyone else had no clue what they were doing. There was a lot of new people. Food was okay. We ordered from the happy hour menu so the price was fair for the sushi. I was just overall pretty disappointed.
Waited 20 minutes after being seated, apparently no one informed waitress we were in her section.
The food came out quickly and was good but getting a drink took forever.
I will go back though, I usually get adequate service, so hoping it was just an off night.
Great service, the food was fantastic and it wasn’t too loud. Still social distancing and masking which was great to see. Nice to NOT have to worry about what public health issues they might be ignoring because it was clear they care about their customers. Food was excellent.
We had a 8:45 reservation and just by asking we were seated earlier by 20 mins, great start because my husband had a very hard day at work and was starving. But our server Josh was a breath of fresh air. He was so very attentive. My husband is a true tea drinker and Josh kept up with him. It’s hard to get severs like this, especially in Tucson, so I hope you appreciate and make sure he is well compensated! We have eaten at RA before but now will make it a point to keep you in our rotation.
My best and veteran server of 32 yrs, Bonnie King 😉
Too many people inside created no social distancing. The restaurant had gone to a no menu format, but no one bothered to tell us, and we were made to feel foolish when we asked for a menu. It was a disappointment.
Dishes we usually ordered have been tweaked and not for the better. My Ahi Poke bowl had a bunch of cherry tomatoes and edamame beans which were not in there before and there seemed to be less fish than before. My husband's sushi lunch special was not as good as the one he always ordered in the past.
Service was unbelievably slow. Waited an hour for the appetizers to come- They came with the meal
-Server didn’t knew anything about the menu.
-Plates and glasses had old food on them still (dried rice).
-Margarita had a hair stuck in the dried lime on the rim.
-My wife’s food didn’t come to the
table until I was already done eating.
-Second set of drinks were not the drinks we ordered, server argued with us.
Manager said they would bring us the correct drinks and when we still hadn’t received them after 25 mins we asked out server for the check and to skip the drinks. She again argued with us and finally brought them.
My wife asked to speak with the manager again to give feedback of our disappointing service. During which I pointed out that our corrected drinks, my wife’s had floaty black food particles in it.
He said “oh it’s probably just mint from the mojito before”? Neither of us had a mojito at all. So who’s mint or drink was in it? Absolutely disgusting dirty place and crap service.
The service was slow. The food was expensive. It is obviously a chain. The chicken soba was terrible and made with ramen noodles. They no longer have large sake which sucked because the service was slow. The restaurant is outdated. Sticking with my locals.
worst sushi ever!!!The sushi rice was old or sat too long. It tasted gummy. Sushi rolls were horrible, you need a new chef! Don’t go if you are reading this.
Took almost an hour to get an our food, then it tasted and looked like it was day old sushi.
One of the best sushi places in town. Nice patio area if you prefer low noise. The menu is diverse and excellent.
We got there early hoping to get seated early and they were able to accommodate us! The sashimi was fresh and tasted great as were the rolls we ordered. We had the mango wonton appetizer which was not great. Otherwise it was very good!
We were seated outside, it was cold and heater was set between tables.
We were a family of five who each ordered our own sushi. Sharesables came out scattered. First hot sushi came out 25 minutes before the the rest. One roll never arrived, never came back to refill drinks. Finally, she arrived with the same roll that was first delivered and didn't even know the roll we needed. We saw the table next to ours her it. Worst dining experience I can remember. Too bad for our first night out on vacation .
Good crowd. Food nicely presented
Very poor service. The ambiance is not pleasant and the food was extremely poor tasting. Had high expectations, but was extremely disappointed
Ra has the best food that I’ve ever eaten. My fiancé and I go there every weekend. The Pineapple Cheese wontons are incredible. The Crunchy Calamari Roll, Crazy Monkey Roll and Viva Vegas Roll are amazing, too. They also have great atmosphere and music every time. I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!!
Food was excellent service was great floors were dirty price is good well worth it
We have been going to this place for years. The tea tasted like it was run through a coffee maker. The food was marginal at best. And management acted like they didn't care. Looks like a bunch of kids running the place.
Great atmosphere 😊great food nice area.. definitely a must go to place if you haven't been there yet ‼️😊
Food was good. Service was mediocre, however, manager recognized slow service and comp’d us the food that came after everyone was done eating. So, we’d definitely give them another shot.
Nice casual outdoor experience.
My wife had to wait along time for her food , like they forgot it .
Our server was super generous and attentive. Also super friendly. Over all, my girlfriend being there for the first time, she was happy and pleased with everything.
