Always a favorite.
The price of a Chinese Chicken salad was too high for the amount of food. Lacked greens to qualify it as a salad. Plus had to ask for additional dressing to give it some flavor.
I enjoyed the food, but hoped that they had a wider selection to choose from.
Everything was awesome, food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Our first visit was a great experience - we shared four sushi rolls - all were excellent - the veggie tempura roll was especially good! Happy hour pricing on beers and rolls can make this spot a very good value for very good quality. Our server also was great - she could describe every roll in detail and made good recommendations. We’ll definitely be back.
Delicious Food, My Husband and I had a great Date Night:) We are also getting together again today with our church friends:) Can't wait
The "RA" in the restaurant's name surely stands for "really awful." This may well have been one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I frequently eat quality Japanese food where I live in the Northeast, and I've traveled widely in Japan. A pseudo-Japanese restaurant putting out such food would be out of business in less than six months. That it receives a 4+ rating is astonishing and doesn't speak well of those who frequent the place. This food was an embarrassment and a waste of money. We left most of it uneaten--out of fear for the long-term health issues it might cause. The chicken in a ramen vegetable dish was dry and tough and had likely been cooked days before. The noodles, clearly overcooked, were mush. A soft shell crab maki was totally white and tasteless--appearing as if it had been left out in the blazing Arizona sun for days. Fried spring rolls were filled with some sort of mush that may at one time been easily identifiable vegetables.
Our server was the one saving grace. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and upbeat--raising the question of why he works there. He would be a good addition to any number of quality dining establishments.
Energetic, high noise restaurant. The salmon sushimi was about the best we've ever had anywhere, and priced right. Service was very good.
Nice that ‘happy hour’ extends into a weekend night (Saturday) and goes till 7pm. Also nice that our waitress notified us prior to 7 to see if we wanted to still take advantage. I am not a huge sushi fan but there are a few rolls on the menu that I enjoy.
I was not very impressed with the service at all.
Music could be turned down a tad. Wish it was a bit lighter inside. But besides that love the place. Excellent service and food. And the drinks were great.
Always love this place! Every time I have been the food has been amazing! I love the edamame, miso soup, and so many rolls! The service is always good and it is great food for a great price.
Our server was great! I was craving for sushi and ever since we moved here from Japan we were craving for a good sushi restaurant-so far haven’t found one yet. Food was ok. The katsu was good especially the curry dipping sauce. The dessert I had for my bday wasn’t good as well. The chicken yakitori was bland and looked like someone sprayed the sauce on the chicken. I had s peanut butter crunch roll or something and it was hard!
Good food at great happy hour prices—————————————-
Perfect experience! Great food and service!
Was Dinner for my daughter's 13th Birthday and we all had a great time. Happy Hour was awesome and our waitress was attentive as well as the manager.
Thanks Ra! We'll be coming back
It was my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. We had a nice time, the food was phenomenal.
A most excellent time had by all! Food was outstanding service was special.
New Year’s Eve dinner with mom. Was a happy occasion and we enjoyed ourselves.
Would only eat outdoors. Very, very noisy inside.
Really fresh and delicious chirashi...sirloin steak,
Caterpillar roll as well as the tempura, calamari roll were all enjoyed by our friends.
Nice place with varied crowd. Average plus sushi. Spicy tuna roll not really spicy.
Great experience and service!
I usually like RA (Phoenix area) but not this night in Tucson. Service was slow, food was cold, and just didn’t have the good flavors I am accustom to.
Maybe they were just having a bad night..
HORRIBLE!!!! Food was equivalent to something frozen heated up in a microwave! The Miso soup was warm water with salt & a lot of chopped green onions. I had chicken on rice & steamed veggies with no flavor, and I'm pretty sure the chicken is the same as what you find precooked in double bags sold at Costco, although those might have more flavor! I have encountered mediocre service & food in other places but this truly was terrible! It might be dangerously full of sugar & preservatives but Panda Express has tastier food at half the cost (or less, since we ordered off the lunch menu)! The server apologized for bringing out diet coke when we ordered regular stating that she's "been telling management the lines were switched & they weren't fixing it" so she's "been dealing with it all day!". Apparently that was our problem! I used the ladies restroom to find that someone ruined the regular toilet (very disgusting!) & upon going into the handicapped one (only two toilets in there) found the door latch to be missing, not broke but totally missing! The door swings OUT ! I used the handles of my purse to secure the door for my privacy! Then as I left there was only a cook at the sushi bar available to speak to & after I advised it needed attention he said sorry for the inconvenience & then told no one ... I watched him for about 10 min & no one in uniform walked into the restroom! At high noon only the bar looked busy but in all there was no reason the dining area couldn't be serviced to a higher standard.
We had a variety of appetizers that were all delicious. The calamari and the lobster spring role were especially good.
we sat outside because it was a nice evening, unfortunately the misters that are on the roof of the patio sprayed us all night, nothing like being in a light drizzle. also, the food was the sushi equivilant of a chili's bar and grill. it wasn't terrible, but it also was not noteworthy. I would call this meal satisfying, but nothing more.
The sushi was so fresh and amazing!! Would definitely go back, and plan to!
Great food, great atmosphere, and absolutely great service.
Always a good choice. Phenomenal sushi and atmosphere.
Excellent sushi in Tucson! Great food and quick service. Wonderful happy hour specials
Ra at La Encantada has been great for the decade I've been able to go there. Always excellent, especially if the Toro is in stock. Bring a lot of friends and plan on a couple hours of sushi and drinks and more sushi for the best experience.
Food is always great. Wish I had written down my servers name. We were a party of 7, some who east sashimi and some who do not. Everyone had a great time!
Overall was Very Good, the RED decoration I believe is excesive red, maybe it could be redecorated more modern, fashion style.
Quickly seated the five of us in a booth, we went early Happy Hour, We ordered ten different dishes and ordered four more the same. We also had Mango and Strawberry Margaritas which quenching. The Sushi and Sashimi were delicious. Service was quick and friendly.
Very great Tucson sushi joint, happening, great quality and good service!
It’s your average chain sushi with good food and forgettable experience
I had made a reservation for my sons birthday. Request a surprise dessert brought out at the end of our meal.
Places order and got our food all but my sons (yup the birthday boy). Asked the waitress over 4 times about his lobster roll. They came with lobster eggrolls. Sent back and again had to wait. He literally didn't get his food until we were all done eating. And to top it off had to remind them about the dessert. Not only did I make a notation about the request but I called the restaurant to ensure it was done. When they brought it out they said sorry we ran out of candles. So yes the experience was far from enjoyable.
First time to this restaurant for 5 of 6 in group. Everyone was pleased with service and food and all plan on returning again. The waitress was very pleasant and enjoyable.
My son and I enjoyed the different sushi options and the quiet atmosphere where we could visit.
