RA Sushi Bar Restaurant - Tucson
Located among some great stores and boutiques, we’re a perfect destination before or after your shopping experience. Guests can dine al fresco on our patio, take a table in our dining room, sit with our sushi chefs at the sushi bar or sip and socialize in our bar & lounge area.
Whatever you choose, it’s all served with a big side of anything can happen. So bring your friends or make new ones; you’re in for a great time in the RA.
The staff is always so friendly! The fish is always so fresh! My favorite sushi in town! By far!!!! And they carry sparking sake!!!
Service was slow but our waiter was overworked so we tried not to mind.
It was hard to get our check. Again we werent ina big hurry
Only 2 of us and food came out about 20 minutes apart ,it wasn't busy. The tereaki chicken is better at Panda.
Food was good, service was not. Very disappointing, not a bang for your buck. But I love sushi so I will be back.
Even with the COVID guidelines our dinner was still a good time and everything was delicious. Staff did a good job and everybody was practicing all guidelines for creaminess, no worries
Lots has changed since I was there last but still love to go there for my special occasions
The service was terrible. The server brought one entree and forgot the other one. I have been to other RA locations and the experience was fine. This location has some problems.
Love the mango lobster rolls! The lobster spring rolls might be the best I’ve ever had
Great place to eat and everything was top notch. Definitely make a reservation.
Server was really nice, but made zero effort to make this a personable experience for us! We had a friend visiting from out of town and we raved about RA to her before she got here. Sadly we wish we would have gone somewhere else. The food is always so good and the chefs are speedy, but I wish the servers were more friendly.
We made a reservation and arrived a few minutes early. We were seated immediately, but then did not have anyone greet us once seated. We waited for over 10 minutes before deciding to leave. We were disappointed.
You are not going to find great sushi here. Everything tasted like it had been sitting out for a day. Even the rice tasted stale. I would not recommend unless you can’t get into Firebirds, Bianco or North Italia
Food was very late coming out
Still got charged for a forgotten meal
Well I heard from previous friends this place was very good, but our experience was not the same.
Please take note that the service aka our waiter was very good, and did the best he could however, the food was disappointing, drinks disappointing and not worth the price. Could have just been a bad night, but will not go back again.
Waited 1:40 min for food
They charged the wrong amount
They're doing their best to deal with Covid restrictions. Great food, nevertheless, and the outdoor seating is a big plus!
ra is great, the atmosphere is modern and somewhat soothing, the people are excellent and the food is amazing.
Mediocre food but gourmet price! We chose many different dishes to sample and share. Some were great, and others were disappointing. Both couples in our party ordered the Las Vegas rolls - one couple ordered them with soy paper instead of the nori, while we ordered them as is. The soy paper ones were fresh and delicious, while ours were not. The waitress told us “yeah it’s good to order them with soy paper because then they HAVE to make them fresh.” What the heck?! That turned me off. We probably won’t be back. There are better choices out there.
Always a good dining experience at Ra Sushi in Tucson
Good sushi and entrees. Do not recommend the sea urchin. It’s nasty but maybe it is everywhere. Service was great.
Open Table special request for window table and recognition of wife’s birthday was not communicated to Ra.
Service wasn’t the best and the hostesses were rude. I’m from Dallas Texas and we have a RA there and I’m always very pleased with the service and food there, but here the service wasn’t good.
The food is extraordinarily good. But The restaurant’s floor is extremely dirty. The resultant looks unkempt, so it feels inhospitable.
These are our remarks to each other every time we go to RA.
It’s been a couple of years since I went to RA Sushi and my husband and I really looked forward to having dinner there. Sadly, it was not a pleasant experience. Their ramen had little to no flavor; their sushi rolls have gotten smaller and more expensive; it took at least 30 minutes before we even got our appetizer. They got our orders mixed up with another table, so we had to wait another 10 minutes before we got our main dishes. It wasn’t busy, as they were limiting people due to Covid-19, so I don’t know why it took so long to get our food. Needless to say, we will not be going back their again.
It was a lot better than I expected. Tables were spaced out, though waiters didn’t stay at your table long they were still attentive and great.
Nothing special. Kind of like a Japanese PF Chang’s.
I was visiting my mother in Arizona, when we went there the service was good. I ordered sushi and my mother ordered hibachi, all the rice was extremely starchy, and tasted a day old.
We usually have a great meal and great service, not this time. Service was extremely slow. My Sashimi was paper thin, I never got the salad that comes with the lunch special, and I had to ask for rice and wasabi. Green tea was like water. Not to mention all the flies. Very disappointing.
The restaurant was very crowded and social distancing was frightening!!!! Not acceptable in today’s time.
Our experience overall was good. It was not a bad experience or a great one. I felt that they were understaffed. During these times I try to have patience.
Service was pretty good and the sushi was yummy as always!
The Food was amazing and the service was above and beyond! Robert the manager and Alex our waitress were amazing! Had a perfect date night with the Wife!
Staff make the experience excellent. This evening was a pleasant return to normal.
The restaurant was very busy but service was akward. At least 4 people came to our table to ask if we had been helped. Our drink order took at least 20 minutes. The server then returned to the table to tell us the bartender was waiting on clean glasses to pour our drinks into? Miso soup was luke warm. We did not receive ginger or wasabi with our nigiri or sushi rolls. It was very hard to get anyones attention. Soy sauce was in a to-go packet and cucumber salad was not the traditional type that I would have expected.
The lights were very bright and never dimmed so it didn't help the ambiance.
The staff uniforms were great and generally the food was good. Just no attention to detail.
I have eaten in this restaurant before and the experience was much better.
Worst service ever. Sat at table for 20 minutes and was not acknowledged. We had to ask for a server. The manager finally help us but started by telling us she was a horrible waitress. Our water was never refilled and we had to wait forever for our bill. We almost left without paying. We figured they were too embarrassed to make us pay for our dinner after such horrible service.
We usually love RA, but the restaurant is struggling at the moment. We were sat at a table that was dirty and sticky. The plates had dried rice stuck to them and the sake glass had caked on lipstick. Even the replacement dish ware was dirty. In the restrooms my shoes stuck to the floor and there was no toilet paper available.
While the servers and hostess were wearing masks, the menu was delivered by app, and the silverware was sealed in plastic, I still felt the restaurant was not clean.
Note: I did speak to the manager of my concerns, and I did recognize the server was trying to do her best under challenging circumstances.
Normally, I would recommend RA, but under COVID the service was slow and the cleanliness way below the level it should be at this time. It will be some time before I consider returning. I wouldn't want to take the health risk.
Socially distanced spacing and great service!
The ambience and decor was perfect, and the rainbow roll I ate was outstanding
