RA Sushi Bar Restaurant - Tempe Ratings and Reviews
The food was very good but our waitress was not. I think she was having a bad night because it showed. She didn't smile or say hello, she slammed our water glasses on the table, brought my boyfriend a beer then later asked if he wanted a glass. She didn't come around that often to see if we needed anything. There is more.
Excellent service. Walked in and they sat us down immediately. Our server was wonderful. Very patient with my date, ready to answer all questions, since it was their first time enjoying sushi, the staff, the food and atmosphere completely made her first experience wonderful! Thank you.
Not my favorite place. Of course we were in a college town, but this place was so loud I couldn't even think. It was a birthday dinner for my friend. When I made the reservations I specifically told them and also requested a table. Did not get a table. Waitress was horrible. Food was ok . Kind of pricey even for a happy hour price.
There are other RA locations that are not as noisy and the service is better. Not sure I will be going back to this place.
Service was great. The mule pitcher was good. The crispy tuna was amazing. But the udon noodles w chicken was ok. It was way too spicy. And mostly bell peppers. Chicken didn't seem fresh either. And could have used more noodles
The one on mill is very college heavy so it was quite loud w a younger crowd. But overall ok.
Didn't try the sushi this time
- Waiter was attentive and was actually good
- Food was so, so
- Hostess not very friendly, then actually speed walked to the table outside where there was an outdoor bar with smoking but not mentioned by the hostess when giving option for outside or sushi bar
- off duty employee or manager sitting at bar where employees kept coming outside to chat, complain about other employees and where about 30 F Bombay are dropped all within earshot of the customer tables
- one waitress came out numerous times to chat and touched her hair so many times I thought for sure she'd visibly wash her hands so the customers could see that she wouldn't go back in to serve food but then she brought out a tray of sushi to a bar patron a few minutes later
Been to multiple RA locations and this was by far the worst. Sitting outside is basically like sitting in the employees break room. Awful experience and management should be embarrassed.
When we have access to good sushi we have to go for it! Had been to several other Ra sites. Rolls are always good, consistent and service is always good too. No disappointments here. Was glad we made early reservations as Mill Street on St Patrick's Day even early was busy. Enjoyed dinner , but ate without dawdling and left!
I have been taking my students to RA for the field trip for many years, but this would be the last time. The worst pert was the service. The server (Allie) was not friendly, was busy picking up dishes (as if she is waiting for us to leave quickly), but not filling our water or drinks. The food was horrible... old salad was even warm. Iced green tea was warm, no flavor...almost like warm water... no color.
The food was great and our server was nice. The only thing I did not like, was that I had a group of 7-10 people and they wouldn't seat us right away unless we had 70% of our party at time of reservation. The rest of our party showed up later. But we had to wait around for 15 minutes to be seated for that reason. They finally sat us down. However, I think if 50% of your party shows up, you should be seated right away. Parking and walking is not easy on Mill Avenue.
Service was terrible. I don't know if they were just really behind, but we waiting almost 45 minutes for our food. We ordered another roll and it took almost the same amount of time. We saw our waitress all of three times. We looked around at all the other waiters and waitresses consistently heckling up on their tables, we couldn't figure out who our waitress was as attentive. The only reason we will be back is because of the food.
We arrived at a very slow time of day (@3:30). Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. We sat at the sushi bar and had a wonderful chef. My husband and I each picked a thing from the menu, but then asked the sushi chef what he would recommend. He was very personable and knowledgeable. We went with his recommendations and were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and well prepared. We will definitely be back. :)
Mediocre sushi, a place for the large crowds, but not a place I would always go back to, unless I could not find any other sushi place. Young servers, so don't expect superb services. You'll get the basic service. They just want to get your order, run to the back, and check the iPhones....literally that's what happened with my server
Always come here for sushi when my friends and I are in town. But we doubt coming again. The place had a terrible armpit smell which we tolerated because we like the sushi here. But our waitress was what ruined our experience. She would rush us, after asking her a question what kind of sushi was this she would look at us like if we were dumb. Not sure if she was having a bad day but it sure ruined our night. Not planning on coming here again
