The wait staff was very helpful in making suggestions to my 86 year old mom. They cleared the table quietly and efficiently. We were a large group with a large bar tab that had a great time!
It was average
Sam was fabulous! He gave us great menu suggestions and was very easy to connect with.
We had a group of 8, our food and drinks came out quickly. Our waitress Sara was the best!!
Everytime we are in AZ, RA is on the list. Love the variety, service and atmosphere. Never been disappointed.
The food was good, it was Valentine’s Day so they were a little busy but we got stuck in this small table near the kitchen
I have dined at RA in Scottsdale 4 times. My only complaint is that they always seem to be out of a few items on the menu.
Decided to try RA despite mixed reviews on this site and others. If you like "sushi" that features cream cheese, "krab", and tempura, this is your place. Marginal quality. The nigiri was cut in sloppy slabs and the rice fell apart. The fish tasted okay but was definitely not the best quality. Rolls were heavy and bland. Overall, the place looked like it could use a good scrubbing. The candle on our table was greasy and dusty. On a positive note, our server was great and everyone was very friendly.
Wonderful wait staff. High energy place with decent sushi
Great place to eat pre-event. If going after 6pm definitely have a reservation...or sit at sushi bar which was not as busy.
This is designer Japanese food. Made for the masses and not a Japanese employee or client to be seen.We equated it to Chinese food we have eaten in Mexico. They try but it is no where near authentic as food made by the Japanese.
Service was OK but dishes sporadic and slow to the point we had one dish comped because it came 10 minutes after we had finished all of our other food.
Not a great experience.
If you want Japanese food and sushi search out a Japanese restaurant run and staffed by Japanese.
Seemed popular but unsure why.
Expensive dishes for what type and quality of food received.
Ra has one of best sushi in az and hot wait staff sexy lady servicing up raw fish
Great food and service! The dynamite scallop rolls are truly amazing! A definite must try!!!!
Poor service! I ordered a vegetable gyoza to start and it took a good 20 minutes to get it. I made sure to emphasize I want the vegetable gyoza NOT the pork gyoza since I'm a vegetarian. She said ok. After the long wait she brought it out and it was a pork gyoza. I tried to get the attention of the staff. I waved, called out, and several just looked at me and walked by. I had to almost yell at a waitress passing by for them to finally acknowledge me. I explained the gyoza is wrong. She said this is not her table and was going to leave, I stopped her and said to please get my server then. She said ok and we kept waiting for another 10 minutes and no one showed up. I got the attention of a manager and finally my server came over. She said to me you can eat that one and she can order another vegetable gyoza. What part of vegetarian don't you get?! At the end my friend and I all finished our sushi rolls, but still no gyoza. I called the manager over, and he said they are working on it. We didn't want to wait anymore and canceled the order. Never even apologized for brining me the wrong food! Good it self (the sushi rolls at least) was delicious!
The food was awesome. Our server was very distracted even though it didn’t appear she was busy. We waited around 10 minutes before even being waited upon. I had to get up and go inside to find someone, who said she’ll look for our server. Probably will not return as there are several other options in the community.
This place is awesome!! It's just my food was over cooked! I didn't complain to the Management because I was starving and we had other plans for the evening but I'll definitely go back!!
Best RA we've been to this far .
Freshest fish ever
Everything was perfect! The service was fast & everyone was so nice. The food ( as always was exquisite! I'm a die hard fan of the edamame! You hv to try!!! Drinks were great! Ambiance perfect! I can't say enough great things about Raw! Go there & you'll have an amazing dining & overall terrific time! You will not be disappointed!!
Average sushi. Roll selection was not great. Too many "spicy tuna, spicy salmon" etc. there needs to be more options other than fish mixed with sauce. I don't want the flavor of the fish covered up.
We were celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary and came here for dinner. We had a wonderful meal and for cocktails were delicious! Our server was friendly and accommodating!
It was great, as usual, great service, I waited for a date, and they were very respecful
Very very loud. Much louder than what it says Open Table. Not a good spot for an intamite night. More for a gathering of friends or a grown family dinner.
Our food was yummy as usual. Our waiter makes you want to return.
Birthday with family
The food is OK yeah I'm Bienz nothing special. I would go back for sushi but certainly not for a special occasion
Came after comedy show! Felt rushed
there are many better sushi places in Scottsdale. the food was just not stellar
Nothing spectacular about it. It's good, but not great.
The food was fantastic. The Spring Rolls were out of this world. Everything we ate was terrific. The service was also first rate and not smothering. Definitely a place that people who like Sushi will love.
I've eaten sushi many places and this was not good sushi. There was no wasabi on the nigiri nd most of the rolls were either spicy or made with "crab mix". Chicken teriyaki was dry and overlooked.
Great service! The menu was extensive and had explanations which were helpful. I was the only one who doesn't eat sushi but I had plenty of choices to make me happy.
I had the crab cakes and tempura vegetables, which were perfectly prepared and very tasty. Our friends had a variety of rolls and sushi.
All in all it's a great place to eat, have happy hour, and easy to find.
Food was great, drinks weren't consistent though we ordered 3 mango martinis and all tasted different one we couldn't drink was sour...it was a fun place but music was a little loud for how far back we were 6 top back corner by restrooms...service was good but waitress didn't warn us happy hour ending soon and took a while to clear table.
Food was great. Service was a little slow waiting for bill. Patio on street so not a lot of ambience. The basketball game was on which was a big hit with my family.
Used open table to make a reservation and lucky I did ..people were waiting outside for a table.
The hostess , my waitress , and manager were very friendly .
The food is always excellent ..if you are looking for great food at an affordable price go during happy hour and ask for specials. I spend about 100.00 for dinner and two of the items were reduced . ( 2 persons meal)
I ordered Kani sushi and they were all out ..so they replaced it with LOBSTER sushi at no extra charge ..first time trying it .. delicious!
The only thing I would rate low was the noise , the music was very loud and made it difficult to have a good conversation, other than that, everything was excellent
Was great except for being asked to leave our table after a couple of hours of eating and drinking and enjoying time with some cousins who were in from out of town.
Not great - sushi is pre made and not fresh tasting. Ordered king crab instead of 'crab mix' and they were out. Tempura greasy
The rolls were very loose, the miso was cold, and brought back cold after requesting a hot bowl. Hot appetizers came out after the check! The server was spread thin and service suffered.
