It was good... I work at Benihana and was supposed to get 50% off, but was only given 29%. I just wish I was told earlier by someone bc my boss told me specifically 50%.
Went to Ra for a birthday dinner. Menu has plenty of options. Between us we had the Pork Gyoza, Spring Roles, Chicken Teriyaki, California Rolls, Philadelphia Rolls,Ahi Tuna Poke, Surf & Turf Roll, Scallop Dynamite Roll, and Cucumber Roll.
The Gyoza were really good, but the Spring Rolls were doughy. The sushi was all fresh and tasty. The Surf & Turf and Scallop Rolls were especially good. The Chicken Teriyaki was just average.
The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, but very dark. We had to use the flashlight function on the cellphones a couple of times.
Service was good, but food didnt
A bit disappointed in our experience at RA. It took over 30min to receive our sushi order. Our server informed us that it was taking a while and brought over free edamame. However, we could see the sushi chefs from our table, they had been hardly working while we were waiting. It was pretty evident that our server forgot to put our order in.
Sushi was good. Udon noodles we ordered good but the chicken seemed like it has been previously been cooked and frozen and just tossed into the stir fry.

We sat in the bar area so it was maybe a little louder in there. The server was very attentive and the sushi was very fresh.
The veggie tempura was amazing

Went for a quiet night out and everything was good except for the service our waitress was completely inattentive and we had to keep asking other people to service us and they were not helpful either. Overall we were not pleased and this is a place we frequent often. Unsure if we will be returning..
Food was good. Service was pretty bad, I think our server forgot about us at one point. We actually thought she left and went home. We still had a good time with our friends.

As always the food was delicious. However the service was sub par. It took the server 10 minutes to touch our table and see if anyone had helped us. Which no one had. We ordered an app and finished that before the server asked if we wanted more food. Someone heard a joke by my friend that I wanted another Diet Pepsi and brought one to me when that isn’t at all the drink I had been drinking. It’s hard to want to drive an hour to grab delicious sushi when the service seems to get worse and worse each time I go.

Service is way to slow waaayyyyy to slow they need more workers asap and the food takes too long to come out its only rice
They desperately need more staff, service is severely slow & waiters have multiple tables. The food was good that’s the only reason to go back but eat a light meal before you go, you won’t get your food or drinks for awhile.

Food options were decent but service was extremely slow although the restaurant was barely filled. Our waitress was nice but doesn’t help overall when food takes 45 minutes to come out.

Took the family out to dinner and service was super slow. Our waitress first brought out 3 drinks for the family of 4 until we had to ask for another. My husbands food came out about 20 minutes into dinner while our 3 year olds dinner of fried rice took over an hour (it was the side dish size). The waitress could not be found throughout dinner service. It then look 4 people to find her when we were requesting the bill. All in, service was 90 minutes for 3 sushi rolls and fried rice. Not worth the cost, time or money.
The food was good but the service was terrible. Our main server was not attentive, messed up our check and was sneaky about it and other servers we asked for help acted very put out by us.

We were on a birthday celebration. It was a Monday and we had no difficulty in finding a table that we liked. One of my drinks arrived a little late when the meal was already finished. I was told that bar was busy, but there hardly anyone at the bar. Other than that, whole experience was very good. Most importantly, I love the food you serve.
Had a poor experience. In my reservation notes, I indicated this was to celebrate my husband's birthday. Server did not acknowledge and did not make us feel special.

This was a Wednesday evening, I though the service could be better. I am accustom to all rolls being brought out at once not in stages. Waitress addressed us as, " i will being serving your group;" it was my wife and I. I guess the little things set the tone of how I viewed the experience.

A few items that I ordered were missing but it was a little bit late so I understood that they were closing but I wasn’t happy with the overall service speed.

Was disappointed that there was suddenly a $4 upcharge for frying our California rolls. Always order them for delivery to work and that never happened. The mango lobster roll is excellent but was not served with the sauce that is included in the delivered version. Bummer but overall good
Our server was nowhere to be found multilpe times, kept forgetting the soy sayce, ginger, wasabi etc.
My husbands food was brought out 15 min before mine-we didnt even enjoy our meal together. My sushi was terrible, I wasnt sure if it was because it was happy hour? But bad quality.

Bug fan! I have celiac disease and they have a gf sensitive menu but the staff is very knowledgeable as well. The manager also came to my table to let me know she was aware of the issue and taking great care to avoid cross contamination. I found this very comforting. Annnd.....I didn’t get glutened! :-D

Food took so long everyone around us got there food first . We checked in at 1015 pm and didn’t get our food until after 11 we ordered our food along with our drinks . We missed our movie . Won’t be going back

We enjoyed our dinner, the sushi was delicious! The restaurant is nice. However, it was 7:30 and we felt like we were walking into a nightclub....the music was way too loud. I seriously thought they had they’re own DJ. Other than that, we would definitely go back and perhaps choose outdoor dining.
While the food is consistently great and the service usually good. This time the service was awful! Very inattentive. Never brought silverware. Had to get it ourselves. Also took a long time to get our check. We sat outside and the umbrella almost fell on us. Hard tome finding someone to take care of it. Wanted to box up our leftovers and the waitress threw them away!!

They have some really good food on the menu, aside from their sushi. There isn’t one roll that doesn’t include crab or crab mix, which just shows cheap and inauthentic they are as a sushi restaurant. Lots of other tasty options, just not super sophisticated sushi.

Waited 40 minutes for appetizers. Then waited another 30 minutes for our meal. We we're there almost two hours just waiting. Beef teriyaki had barely any sauce on it. The juices from the meat was my sauce.

Just kind of disappointed again. Tried again after 2 weeks. Quality of food didn't even seem as good. You ask for something hot and it's not brought hot. The servers excuse is always the kitchen is backed up with an attitude. The appetizers all came out with the sushi so 3 appetizers and 3 sushi rolls just isn't ideal all at once. Then edamade. No refills on drinks. Not really sure what is happening there. But again, it's Lombard and a classy area..this kind of service sucks!!

This restaurant is beautiful, in a beautiful Mall. It's a shame the quality of both the food, and wait staff, has decreased so dramatically since I was there a couple of years ago. What should have been enjoyable date night, turned out with me having to constantly pester the staff for basics such as Wasabi, plates, chopsticks, and straws for water. When are food did arrive, the presentation was wonderful, unfortunately I was expecting an average of 10 to 12 pieces, but instead received only five per roll. In addition our appetizer didn't make it out until after our entrees.
It's a shame because as I mentioned the restaurant is beautiful, it seems such a waste to have incompetent people who are ruining it.
