RA Sushi Bar Restaurant - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
I had eaten at a RA Sushi before. Again the food was pretty decent and an awesome value at happy hour. Service was impeccable. My only complaint would be that it is very loud. My girlfriend and I had reservations at 5:30 on a Saturday night - at the beginning it was just couples near us and just noisy with larger groups at high tops on the other side of the restaurant (yes loud at 50 feet away), but by 6 they had seated three large parties around us and we couldn't hear each other across a very small table. Although the food and service was above average I would not recommend if you want to have a conversation.
The food was OK. My some of my rolls were falling apart as they arrive. The fish was fresh though! The service was good. Our waitress did her best, but our drinks were left completely empty before being asked if we wanted another round. The ambience was great; however, that’s the only thing that really stood out.
We ordered 3 specialty rolls. They were smaller than most other sushi restaurants I've been to. Unfortunately, they were rather average tasting. Nothing stood out to me, although my boyfriend enjoyed it.
The service was okay. Our waiter was nice, but we received little attention. Usually I don't mind, but we waited more than 10 minutes before we even spotted him to flag him down for our check.
Other than that, it seems like a good social place to spend with a group of friends, but it also meant the decibel level there was borderline intolerable. Cool looking place, but I would not go again.
Had a nice weekday dinner with my boyfriend after a long day. The sashimi salad was delicious and was totally bang for your buck with amount of fish included in the salad. We shared a tuna salsa app and my boyfriend had a poke bowl. Both were yummy. The shrimp appetizer was ok; we like a similar shrimp app better at Bonefish grill
It was our first visit there and we loved it! The food was delicious. A little pricy, but would definitely go again. We went for dinner, my son's birthday! Beautiful restaurant and the service was great. Our waiter was so courteous. The girls in the front were great!
We finally got to try RA sushi! Their happy hour menu has a great value! We got to try a bunch of different things from their Las Vegas roll, which seems pretty popular since we saw quite a few being made and served, and tuna and yellowtail nigiri, to the RAcking shrimp, halibut sashimi, and mixed poke bowl (which came with a cup of miso soup and a bowl of sticky rice!). The fish was fresh and delicious. The crab rangoon with the pineapple sauce was absolutely decadent! Our server and bar-tender Herman did a great job. I highly recommend this place and I hope to return soon!
I have dined at RA many times but this time was a bit disappointing. The server was very slow and just looked like she was going through the motions. We were brought out the wrong item and then it took quite a while for the correct item to come out, and when it did, it seemed like it had been sitting around for some time. Hopefully this was an isolated incident.
Food was excellent, with many creative rolls. Service was lacking -- inattentive, and numerous people taking our order, bringing the food, bringing the check, taking our payment (with the latter two being particularly slow). Quite noisy -- Why do restaurants think it's cool to have exposed ceilings, hard surfaces everywhere, and then on top of it to play background music noticeably loud?
We went to RA based on recommendation from friends and we liked the food and cocktails a lot. We had a very attentive server, and sushi tasted fresh and good.
The music was a little bit too loud for us, without ruining anything though.
Would go again, and recommend.
Overall I don't recommend this restaurant at all! Had really bad experience there, food took one hour to received and the server forgot to put the order in too. People who works there just doesn't care at all. The worst service you can get there!!!!!!!!! Never go back again!
