We arrived and were seated on the outside patio. There were 5 or 6 dirty and unbussed tables, the ground on the patio was filthy and hadn't been swept, our server was extremely standoffish, and to top it off, high school kids were allowed to walk through the tables and solicit donations for their basketball team. We will definitely not return.
Aboslutely terrible experience. made a reservation but still had to wait 20 more minutes. Service was terrible. Couldn't get orders in. Couldn't get chopsticks without asking 3 different people 3 times. The whole thing was a disaster. I gave two stars because the manager did try to make it right. However, will never be going back.
The worst service... ever!! It’s hasn’t ever really been the best, but the last two times I went there it has been horrible. I actually saw a couple get up after getting their food and leave.
Food was great and so was the service
My wife, daughter and I dined here yesterday evening. We had a reservation thru OpenTable and were seated at a table next to the restrooms. The odor was terrible (topic for another review) so we asked the host if she could move us to a similar table next to it (which was empty). We could see that the host was busy; she said that the other table was already reserved (the!)... I have no idea why she couldn't swap tables (did I request for a table next to the restroom?). Then she asked us to wait and went on to attend other guests! We were left standing there hoping she would help us... She never did. By this time I was mad...
I called for the manager Herbert. He was defensive as can be. Never apologized! Said the hostess is doing the best she can! We love the food here... And the desserts (Mochi ice cream ).. But service is terrible and seems like management does not care... What a shame!!
We still dined here because my daughter loves the desserts here. My mood was lousy at the attitude of Herbert who never even bothered to check on us during dinner to see if we were okay. Great job in spoiling the evening of your customers.
I know this is a chain restaurant and they sacrifice service to save another nickel. I hope they don't follow Mi Cocina and close down...
I was very disappointed. The attendant never sat me and my guest. I told her I had a reservation and she totally ignored us. She said she would be right back and she attended to other people. I have never been treated like that and it was the first visit for my guest and that was disappointing. I expect better for any establishment and I think it should be done in a more professional way. I can see if they were busy and not able to help but this was not the case. :(
Love this place
Great experience good us great
Very nice atmosphere and food! We got there quite often for Happy Hour.
This was the worst service I have had in a long time. We tried to be patient but it was ridiculous to the point that it ruined dinner. It would take 20 min to get a drink so we just started going to the bar to get them. The food took 45 min for basic sushi. My drink tasted different every time and my friends wine was brought out warm after we finally complained. The manager offered a free dessert. Wow. No thanks we just won’t be back.
Creative sushi was delicious. It's always nice to see chefs create new flavors. Restaurant was pretty busy as it was Oysterfest nearby, but not bad. Just a tad slow. Will go back when in the area.
Had reservations and we were seated for 15 minutes and didn't get any service; went to the bar for drinks and told the bartender what we wanted and they just walked away and didn't even respond. It wasn't until were walking out the door did the manager come to save the day. Unreal...
Totally awful. Food was too salty, the vegetarian options were more or less romaine lettuce and rice. I’m pretty sure the pineapple sauce on my appetizer was fermented. We made a reservation but still had a half hour wait. Too loud and too dark in there.
The food and service was good, just a little slower than usual.
My wife and I love Ra Sushi Bar. We went this pass Friday and are going back this Saturday before we go to the movies. There’s other sushi spots near our home, but we rather drive thirty five minuets to go to Ra. It’s just that good!
Very good Happy Hour menu
Relaxing vibe with great service and great food!!!
The sushi is DELICIOUS! It takes some time to get it to your table but that is understandable considering how many people are ordering sushi. The ambiance is romantic! Service was a little crazy but they had a full house so it was understandable as well. Overall, WE LOVED IT!
I'm writing this review to number one thank the general manager for handling the situation the right way. Even though it took walking out of the restaurant to get his attention. The manager who came to our table originally did not want to do anything but comp an item the general manager was extremely professional. Without going into a great deal of conversation the waitress was having a lot of issues with our table from taking one of orders and walking away to not knowing anything that was on the menu itself. It was definitely the worst service I have ever received. In the end it was completely comp'd but I do hope in the future the events that happen will not be repeated with another guest. If you're going to use a new server on the floor during a major holiday like Valentine's Day they should know the menu fairly well and have some patience when being asked general questions on what they're selling. Again, the situation was handled well I just wish it would not have happened on our date night.
Had our Valentine's Day date. Service was a little slow due to the restaurant being busy but at least two of our items took forever to be brought out and the final item had to be comped as it was cold by the time it got to us. Still a great place to eat but they can't handle a huge rush all that well.
Love the vegetable tempura roll!
Tasty food but didn't like my calamarie crunchy roll. It wasn't season (bland) and temperature was cold. Server got another and he was nice. Enjoyed late night happy hour.
Shocking a reservation I had made for self was confirmed by hostess on Saturday night 2/3/18, then was cancelled by Ra Sushi Restaurant. Got email confirming so. I earn points this way through Open Table.
Service was terrible along with the waitress’s attitude. Slammed drinks down and didnt ever bring one of our dishes out. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and invitrd friends out and it was embarrassing.
Scallop dynamite small + Ra'Ckin Shrimp Tacos + Mango Margarita = Delish. #MySpot
Overall it's a great restaurant, my only issue is that it was almost completely dark and could barely read the menu, I noticed that we were not the only ones using the flashlight app to read by.
Just dropped in for drink and appetizers with girlfriends after work before a show, so it was perfect - the food ambience and service was great! Thank you.
Great food presented in a beautiful way!
Service began a little slow (waited over 10 minutes for waiter to stop at our table for us to get water). Once we were acknowledged everything was great! We asked for recommendations & they were right on point! Love this place!
I normally have a good experience here however tonight it was terrible. My friend had a group of 12 reservation for her birthday. The wait was extremely long and the staff was not very helpful. The group finally got sat after an hour and a half. It took another 15-20 mins until we even got a menu. I decided not to stay after I got my drink.
Had a good time at RA Sushi for my spouse's birthday. Order sushi and was informed that the sushi bar was backed up. It took quite a while for our sushi to arrive and we only then received 2 out of the 4 dishes at first. We had to wait and additional 15 minutes for the rest of the meal to arrive. Hubby enjoyed the hot sake and I loved the strawberry lemonade. The server was nice and kept checking on us -- he just couldn't make the food appear any faster. :( If we come again, we will come during lunch hour and try the poke bowls. They look delish.
Service was very slow with long breaks between rolls. We were tired and ready to leave before the last two arrived. Food was okay but not great. Worst Cosmopolitan I’ve ever had - tasted like straight lime juice.
We were drawn to this restaurant because of the atmosphere and photos of the food on other reviews. When we got there the atmosphere was up to par, fun, energetic, trendy etc...The staff was a bit chaotic. The restaurant was crowded but I don’t think unusually so given the holiday weekend and in the Atlanta neighborhood. This restaurant I expect would normally be busy. Our server was very nice but it took him forever to complete any task. Even asking for a fork for my 4 yr old, I had to ask another server PLUS get up and find one. This literally was a 10-12 minute process...for a fork and by this time a very hungry child. It wasn’t just our server it was all of the servers. The table next Toni’s has to get up and ask 3 different times for assistance with their group. Hopefully they were just “off” BUT the food was good. I give the food 4 stars!
The food was amazing but the service was “ok”. We had a an amazing night though.
My girlfriend loved it! I have been promising her sushi for a few weeks, and I knew exactly where to take her. Very good food and drinks.
The food was great and reasonably priced. The service was really lacking.
Went out to celebrate my birthday with friends and had an awesome time. The food, drinks and music were great. The waiter Michael was awesome he was very tentative. We meet a couple of the managers Sean, Craig and Chris they were very friendly and personable as well.
We made a reservation on NYE for 10pm but quickly realized it was pointless because we still had to wait for someone to get up from a table and leave. We also saw 2-3 groups come in after us but were seated before us.
It took an hour to get food after we ordered. Thankfully, our server brought us a complimentary appetizer since it took a while for our food to come out.
I’ll just stick to this spot for a quick happy hour. Nothing more.
I am not new to RA by any means, so I decided to visit RA on NYE 2017 with a friend for their happy hour specials. I had the spicy shrimp roll and the spring rolls, plus a cosmo and lemon drop martini for all less than $30! There was a DJ spinning great music, including some Atlanta classics for the natives like myself. I always have a great time at RA, however, their service needs some work. Our food and drinks arrived quite slowly, and we could never seem to track down our server.
Service was terrible! Took 90 mins to get Sushi!
