Really good night not a ton of people for a Saturday night which is always great in the city
Great food, Great service. I will definitely be back
Literally the worst service ever. Everything was wrong, the drinks were wrong, the service was the worst, and everyone around us verbally agreed. What a show.
I loved the restaurant's atmosphere, but the sushi was just ok. I was disappointed, particularly in the spicy tuna roll which tasted like it came out of a can. The garlic edamame on the other hand was great.
Food was great but service was god awful
I understand the sushi takes awhile to get done right and I can appreciate that, however it took 20 min for us to get drinks after we ordered and our sever was MIA most the night.
We sat there with empty glasses after of first round for almost a half hour before we could order again
But they we got our second we round we had already finished our entrees
Then when we asked for the check it was another 20 min for us to get the thing and another 15 just to get our cards back
In the end we spent probably 45 min eating/drinking and probably 90 min wondering were our drinks/server/bill is
Again food was awesome, but probably won’t be back to pay that much for that awful of service
It’s dark, hip, and loud. If you are young and part of the club scene, then this is your place for pseudo sushi. Limited fish choices, lots of “specialty” rolls. There is better in Atlanta.
Service was a litte slow. Restaurant was overall a little trashy (trash on floor, bathroom a mess, etc). But food was very good!
Service and food have plummeted. Took my daughter here for her birthday on a Saturday afternoon. It was not crowded (should've been my first sign). We were seated immediately, but not acknowledged until 12 minutes later, not even by our server. Another server said she saw us waiting and decided to bring us waters; very nice and the only reason I gave 2 stars. She also took our app orders. Our server finally took our orders. We ordered 3 orders of Rackin shrimp, 2 viva las vegas rolls, 1 rainbow roll, 1 mango lobster roll, and a roll with shrimp (I forget the name). Rackin shrimp, although good, was not deveined. I had one piece of my rainbow roll and had to spit it out because it was improperly cut and of poor quality. Tons of sinew.. gross. I told the server who said she would see what she could do, then disappeared. A man, presumably a manager, came over and asked was I ok. I told him about the issue and then further had to explain what chewy sushi is. He proceeded to say "well our fish is fresh, so.." I told him I wasn't looking to argue and he dismissively said he would remove it from the check, as he walked away. The server came back and asked if I wanted anything else... uh no. We got everything else to go. Not one apology. Fast forward two hours after we arrive home (my daughter ate her rolls in the car on the way home), my daughter complains she sicks and spends the rest of her birthday in the bathroom (sorry for the tmi). Poor (and dangerous) food quality and service. Never again.
Great Sunday happy hour menu.
I had a great time with the people I was with. One of the sushi rolls I had, (calamari roll) was too chewy and my server could've been more attentive. Wanted to have saki with my rolls but didn't see my server for what felt like 15 minutes after we got our food. When I did spot her, She was too far to call and I didn't feel like chasing her down. By that time the moment had passed. My sushi was just about gone.
Really enjoyed the food overall including dessert.
Service was very poor. Our waiter kept forgetting things and we waited 30 minutes for our drinks that we ordered as soon as we sat down.
Service was really poor. It took 25 mins to seat us when we had reservations and was there on time. Then another 25 mins to have a waitress greet us. The first thing she said when coming in was this was my off day I wasn’t even supposed to be here so give me a minute. She came back 5 mins later to take order. We were there a hour starving before we placed an order. Not to mention I booked for my moms birthday. So I was a upset. This was my second time here first for her. The food was great but service was horrible.
Out celebrating my birthday, Service was extremely slow. I was supposed to get a birthday treat but it took forever for them to bring and we ended up leaving. But over all it was nice.
We were placed in a lovely private back area for our party of 6.
Great food but very slow service. One friend at our table received his entree and the rest of us received ours 15-30 minutes later. Nice environment. I would try it again, hopefully the service will be better.
Waiter poured my old drink into my new one...I don’t understand why....Unacceptable
Great experience. Wonderful atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
The food was great and the service was even better. Always a nice experience!
Great food and great service
Everything was good except for the hostess. She was incredibly rude and the other host noticed that I was disturbed by her attitude and he took over the conversation and saved the day. Otherwise we would of walked out and went somewhere else.
Ra Sushi Bar was really good, I took my girlfriend on a date here and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and it came out pretty fast, and the restaurant overall looked nice. Would definitely go again.
The food was good but the service was extremely slow. We were seated at a table in the middle of the walkway to the restroom so my table felt crowded. I ordered 2 rolls and my first roll came out and the server brought out my second roll when I was ready to pay and leave because she forgot about the roll. This was not the best service and I come here often.
The food was good but the service was really slow. They didn’t have enough employee working the manager didn’t try to accommodate us at all. It was my birthday outing and I really enjoyed the food but the service was really slow we ask for a small discount but the manager refuse to give it to us.
First time there was not disappointed I’m definitely going back
It was a pleasant experience.
Slow waiters Anna terrible response time
Food was good, server was very attentive. The ambiance is great. We had a very good time
The service is terrible! We have been going here for over a year and the last few months the service has declined significantly. We had to ask our server 4 times to clear the dirty plates, we found a hair in one of our sushi rolls, and getting drinks took over 40 min. The worst part...they weren’t even busy! They had maybe 65% of their tables full and it was a Saturday. Multiple people rolling silverware rather than assisting. We spoke with the manager who didnt seem to care about the poor service. He basically said well they are trying. Unbelievable! We will not be going back.
The location is good. The atmosphere was nice. The service was a little lacking. Food was good but, it wasnt incredible. Pricing was very fair. I would go back but, I'm not bragging about it to my friends. You can definitely get better sushi and poke bowls elsewhere.
Excellent customer service and food
The service was terrible, the food was cold, we were given bits and pieces of our meal (example -soup but no spoon) and our waitress was nowhere to be found. The worst part was she charged our credit card a $163 tip on a $93 meal, and there were other charges to my card right after that I didn't make. We live out of town, and could not get a hold of a manager to fix it later. Don't risk it!
The location is great, the place is nice but food awful, soup cold , service terrible. People don’t greet you, took about 20 minutes for someone get us drinks and we had an reservation. The price overrated per the quality of the service and food. Please don’t waste your money there... not sure about the drinks though... never more
This was my first time at this restaurant. I am not a sushi fan, but my boyfriend is so i took him for his birthday. While the sushi itself was good, the service was absolutely horrible. Our initial waiter decided he didn't want to wait on us and passed us off to some other server without even informing us of the handoff. Then it took so long to get our cocktails that the manager gave them to us for free. We were halfway done with our food before we got them! Lastly, we sat around for a while with no one checking on us. Finally i flagged someone down asking where our server was because we wanted to pay and go. The manager found out from other workers that she left! Like went home without permission and without telling him so he said she is now fired! This was all very unprofessional to me. This is not a place i plan to come back to - not even if it's my boyfriend's favorite.
Not like it used to be.
The service and atmosphere a definite two thumbs up!!!
I frequent Ra often. The last time was horrible service from the moment we sat down. It was absolutely bad enough not to go back & I will discourage others from visiting. The manager was adamantly making excuses for the poor service. We were not greeted for over twenty minutes after being seated before contacting the manager. We waited another ten before someone finally came. Food was not delivered for an hour. Appetizers still had not arrived. No one came by to refill our water. We did not receive drinks that we ordered. We left. I was surprised how bad it was after speaking so highly of past experiences to my guests. I could only assume that there has been a shift in management at Ra. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that expects decent service.
Went with a friend to eat on a very busy Friday night. Made my reservation on Opentable.
When I got there a few minutes early, the hostess’ were extremely rude to me. I told them I had a reservation they said I was on a waitlist and they didn’t know how long it would be, because they had to clear tables. I saw many tables outside and in that were available, however I made the reservation for the sushi counter-again plenty of seats at the counter. I told the girl helping me that I had made a reservation for the counter, she said I could sit there. When I sat down there was coins on the counter, dirty napkins and only half the settings needed. She brought me menus, except for a drink menu. I waited for about 5 minutes for a server to come by. She brought me a drink menu. Took another 15-20 minutes for us to get out drinks, which was a twist off bottle of wine. Some other friends ended up joining us at the counter in the mean time. They ordered sake, and the waitress brought them shot glasses to drink it out of. No matter how many sushi places I have been to in the world I’ve never seen a restaurant as large at RA not have proper glasses for sake. Our miso soup took longer than almost 20 different pieces of sushi. The sushi chefs( I have a feeling that’s not the right term, my apologies) forgot or took a long time on our sushi. We had to ask for water refills. The manger spent half the night talking to a guy at the hostess stand, never checking on his workers. Our plates were never bused the entire time. The food was very good but not worth the price as the service was sub par- maybe they were short staffed.
I was able to change my reservation easily and the hostess was great however during happy hour it was not crowded but service was terrible. Food was good!
Server was very nice, but the service was terrible. I'm torn.
