Not a place to have anything authentic. Most dishes look and taste as if you had a 2 y/o go crazy in the kitchen.
Who doesn't love Happy Hour on a Saturday Night !?! Excellent Value !!!
I had a nice dining experience with my brother. The food was delicious, however our waitress was a little inattentive and confused our orders. Despite this it was a good meal.
Nice Greeting at the front door. Promptly seated. Server a little disjointed. Brought twp of the three drinks ordered, next showed up minutes later. Was obsessed with only leaving one menu at the table. Plates were handed to us rather than organizing the table and setting them down. Dirty dishes left way to long.
The place is great but our server needs more basic training for this price range of restaurant.
I will still go back and recommend.
Service was not up to the usual level we have previously experienced but the food is always good
The food was good but our waitress was awful. I have been there before with other wait staff and not had this problem. But the visit start to finish took over 2 hours which was not the plan.
Great food and lively environment!
Service was great food was great good price point
Great food as always
always really good sushi. We had a California roll, a Rackin Roll and a Shrimp calamari tempura roll. all three were so good. Highly recommend
Nice open bar area. Food was excellent. Portions were perfect - just the right size. Will definately be back.
Music was way too loud....Spring rolls were too doughy - not enough veggies. Sushi was a little bland and rice a little sticky. When RA first opened in Plano - it was exceptional.... I would recommend RA Addison only if you are in a hurry to go to movie and must eat close.
Although I did not quite enjoy the food, the environment was hospitable and the ambiance was warm. Although a nonchalant afternoon, the service was slow
Great sushi at a reasonable price. The waitress wasn't very friendly but everyone has off days. Overall a great dinner with my family.
Food was excellent as usual !
An entire glass art piece fell in the kitchen during our appetizers. The glass covered the entire kitchen and the chefs in it. At this point we assumed that the kitchen would have to close due to concerns of the glass being in the food but we were not informed of any concerns by our waiter. After waiting another period of time we flagged down our waiter and asked him if our main orders were ok, then and only then he told us our sushi mains had all been cancelled. Unforeseeable accident in the kitchen but the waiters could have communicated with the guests better. We ended up having to leave and try to have dinner somewhere else. I want to like this place as it’s right by the movie theatre but it’s just another crappy chain fried food restaurant with crap service.
Clifton was our server and he did an amazing job! We really enjoyed our dinner at RA and were really impressed with the quality of service Clifton provided.
Fantastic food if you can get it in time. Wen with a group of 4 friends and every roll took 30-40 minutes to arrive at our table. Drinks took at least 20. I am not sure who was to blame - the kitchen or the wait staff? Either way the service was absolutely pitiful. Our waitress never apologized or even noted the time it was taking.
Very loud and uncomfortable setting for a date we were sat on the sushi bar area and then a big group was seated right behind us not giving us any room to even exit the building when ready to leave had to literally squeeze myself through also the waitress was rude when asked for something, honestly I've been here several times before and NEVER had a bad experience like I did that specific day.NOT going back!
Our favorite low-key date night spot! Delicious food, good drinks, energized environment, but quiet enough to have a quality conversation.
Good sushi service is ok
RA was a neat experience. I had been to one in Houston before. Its def a more upscale sushi place compared to many of the sushi places I go to. The fish was fresh, the service was ok, and the ambiance was nice. Note: if you want the tuna belly sashimi (they call it the toro), it is only available Thursday through Sunday (sadly it was not available on Wednesday which I learned when I went).
The Toro tasted fishy and it was slimy. The roll we had was very good. The service was slow although they didn't seem super busy.
We arrived to the venue for the party and our table took an extra 10 minutes to set up (It was supposed to be a surprise party) Of the bat the 2 host at the front had a very negative vibe and attitude- The service was not very good, not once did our server pick up a cup or dirty plate from our table (Party of 8) so we had a table full of dirty dishes the whole time, One of our guest received the wrong dish 2 times!
Once we finished they brought out the cake but didn't clear the table, after waiting for 5 minutes for plates and forks for the cake we finally got the server to take some dishes after WE stacked them up and put them all in a pile. Very disappointed in the service especially it being my wifes birthday and place of choice. I hope they work on training the staff properly to insure quality service and more attentive behavior. - Leaving this review under my wifes name since thats what the name of the reservation was. (I left a $20 tip even though everyone was in support of not leaving anything)
Great service and food as always by the bar staff at Ra. Thank you very much
Everything was okay, very little was exceptional. Once you’ve had really good stuff, anything less than that pales. I did like the ambience. I just wish everything else had been a bit better.
It took nearly 25 min to get water and service. I think the hostess forgot to tell the server we were there. I do not blame serve, he was very good.
Food was good but nothing notable. The hamachi (sashimi) and hamachi roll were yummy but the poke was not impressive. I would not order the combo poke again (they one with tuna, salmon, shrimp)
Service was so poor it colored my impression of the restaurant. It was our anniversary which I indicated on the reservation. The lobster spring rolls were delicious. The sushi was pretty good but had to ask repeatedly for drink refills and at one point my husband had to go up to the bar to ask for the beer he ordered from the server. Our server had way too many tables or was having a bad night. Nothing was said about our anniversary which was disappointing. Not sure we’ll try this place again..
Goto the Plano location frequently, but was not impressed here. Sushi chefs were unhelpful and lazy (would t even make us an Ahingower, which they do on Plano all the time). Fish was not.fresh as usual..place was dead on a Friday night...clearly other know what we learned.
I just love their food , the atmosphere was as always wonderful Services always good prices are within reasonable parking there's plenty just too lovely place to have a get-together for the girls
Have dined at RA in other cities and always liked it, but was slightly disappointed with this experience. Food not as memorable; in fact, rather bland. Service was very good, however.
I enjoy some of the sushi they have to offer (I stay away from ones with all the cream cheese). It was a little loud, but a fun atmosphere. Good variety to the menu overall.
Good quality sushi, pricey, loud atmosphere, drinks were weak but hot saki was great. Waitress was busy which caused very slow service. Would go back again to enjoy patio seating but not inside as it gets overly crowded.
This is one of our FAVE sushi restaurants. We eat there often.
I love eating at Ra Sushi. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The music is a little loud. The service is always fantastic.
Amazing !!!! We took 6 people out for dinner and it was flawless.
The garlic edamame are awesome! Always ask for extra sauce. It is delicious
Ra was once a decent Sushi restaurant, but now I would place it alongside Bluefish as a competitor. The table was dirty (the whole place just felt sticky), the service was mediocre, and it just seemed like they were doing whatever they could to just get by.
The biggest complaint is that they have a door to the kitchen that makes the loudest "siren noise" whenever it was opened, very annoying to listen to for an hour straight. It would take a $3 can of WD-40 to fix and no one there seemed interested in getting it done.
They should close your doors for a day, clean the place from top to bottom, fix that go*%@mn door and re-evaluate why you are in business.
They have a great happy hour that goes until 7pm on Saturdays! Sushi rolls were great and the so were the drinks. Mango margarita and dragon bite were good but super sweet. Wanted to try the mule but they would out of the coconut ingredient.
