American
The deep channel buoy, R10, is known amongst local boaters, paddlers and seafarers of all kinds (especially the seal variety) as a meeting spot. Named after this buoy located just off the Redondo Harbor, our 90-seat neighborhood joint is a new American social house offering market driven food, well-crafted cocktails and a selection of intriguing, affordable wines. In a setting of reclaimed chic with nautical nods, locals can meet up for a quick bite or linger over a meal with friends and family while taking in the scenic waterfront views. Southern California affords us the luxury of diversity, and so we are able to select farm produce that may have a brief season and that we can use at their peak. Our menu showcases impeccably sourced ingredients from local farms with high standards of sustainability and organic cultivation. We know exactly where our food comes from and how it gets to your table.

Great scenery and ambiance. We also really appreciated how spacious the interior was - very open and airy feel. Staff was attentive, especially to the mothers in our party on Mother's Day. Food was delicious, and bottomless mimosas were never empty!

We sat for 15 minutes without a server coming to the table and another 25 minutes just to get a drink with no apology. Great location but service continues to be lackluster.

Excellent handcrafted cocktails! Food was a foodie’s delight! Service was odd, our wait person just kept forgetting what we told them, so, odd? Lovely area, beautiful sunset! We’d go back!!

Weekend brunch day is always fun and seamless at R10 social. Yummy gastropub menu and bottomless mimosas win our hearts every time. Oh yeah, and the view of the ocean on the upstairs patio is not so shabby.

we went St Patricks eve, on a Sunday. I'ce seen this place from afar on other days and it was happening... this day, not so much. Seems empty and sad. Food and service were okay.

The food was good but overly salty. This meant the first few bites were fine but after awhile it was just too much. They made a mistake on one of our dishes and brought out another one after everyone was finished eating. This was a salad with few ingredients so it's hard to understand why a dish that required no cooking took so long. They told us they'd take both dishes off our bill without us asking which was nice. However, we waited for easily 45 minutes for the check and then one of the dishes was not taken off. The lady who was getting the check for us (not our server and I have no idea what happened to him) would not allow us to finish explaining what needed to be corrected on the check and just kept cutting us off and telling us she didn't need to know what we were telling her. As a result, the checks were messed up. When we tried to explain the problem she again kept telling us that she didn't need to know what we were trying to explain to her and once again the checks were wrong. From the time we got up to find someone to get us our checks to when we were able to pay there was easily a 20 minute delay. We were sat as soon as we got there and spent a total of 2 hours at the restaurant even though we weren't necessarily trying to stay there that long. The manager explained that it was a holiday weekend (St. Patty's) but the restaurant had open tables and did not appear busier than what I would assume was a typical Sunday. Overall the restaurant seemed poorly managed with staff that seemed like they had potential to do a good job, but their execution missed the mark. I'd rather just go get a pizza or a hotdog then deal with that again... And I don't even like hotdogs.

Sat in the lower section (there is also an upstairs dining area.) We had a window view, sitting on long bench seating which was nice.

Food was good, except table thought wings and shishito peppers were too hot. One person had to dunk them into their water to lessen the intensity. Service throughout the evening was slow. Everything seemed to take 15 min. (The water, extra napkins, water, dessert, the check...)

I reserved table of 6 through Open Table and indicated it was for a birthday. Neither the host or server mentioned anything about a birthday. When we we about to leave I mentioned it to servers and she said to wait, she would get something. She came back 15 mins later with a nice tart and ice cream plate.

So overall I wasn't very impressed with the restaurant, except for the nice window view of the Redondo marina/harbor.

Another great evening at R10! My husband and I have been dining here for years; we even had our wedding reception in the upstairs room. There was a reception on the night we came in to have dinner. We were impressed at the excellent level of service in addition to the staff having to attend to the party.

Food quality seemed to have slipped since our last visit. Many ingredients were not fresh; charcuterie had been sitting out and both cheese and meats were a bit dry. The short rib was also a little dry compared to previous visits, but flavors were great, as was the wine.

Had a wonderful Birthday Brunch with some friends. We were seated on their rooftop patio, the overall decor of the place was fun, the ambiance was nice, and they were very helpful for all of my tables annoying needs.

The Food was great and tasty, no complaints, plenty of options for my friends' vast tastebud differences. We never needed to ask for water refills, or more importantly, Mimosa refills, our server and her assistants were very tentative to our needs. High recommend this for casual dining with friends or family.

We had a fabulous experience. It was my hubby's birthday, and while we'd already frequented R10 on 2 other occasions, we came on this particular visit for dessert. We ordered the apple fritters with a side of lemon ice cream (thanks to our server for making that suggestion!). It was divine. Ranks for the great dessert, drinks, service, and ambiance!

We had a wonderful experience. We came for brunch, and we both ordered the yuca special - it came with eggs and arugula on the side. The dish was simply delightful. Not only was our server just amazing, but in addition, another staff member took great lengths to make sure we were comfortable in the patio area. She moved one of the umbrellas over us to shield us from the sun. She didn't have to do that - THANKS SO MUCH!
Thanks again, to all of you, for providing us with an excellent brunch experience!
