ZuZu! - Middle East Club
Zuzu is a premier Central Square restaurant located between the two Middle East dining rooms on Mass Ave. Look for the Zuzu sign! We are owned by the Middle East, but a restaurant of our own -- more eclectic, more Italian, more Mediterrannean-American fusion.
We welcome you to join us for our award winning dinner seven days a week, always followed by our infamous evening entertainment.
We are available for any events, private parties, holiday parties and any other special events. We have multiple rooms available in varying sizes for depending on he size of your party.
We also serve brunch and lunch on weekends from 10am-3pm! (Please note on weekends, restaurant closes from 3-5pm until dinner.)
We look forward to serving you!
Good location to Music venue. Excellent staff attentive and very welcoming. Wife loved the chicken kabobs . I enjoyed the flaky perfectly cooked fried haddock. Great fresh rice and salad sides. Would highly recommend.
Delicious menu with a wonderful mixture of middle eastern and comfort food.
There were 8 of us for dinner on a Sat night. Food was good, server was attentive. I ordered kabobs and they brought the wrong type and brought another of the correct order and let me keep both which was a bonus. Drinks were good and prices reasonable.
Food was delicious. I was a single diner but was able to sit at a table and not expected to sit at bar. Service was prompt and courteous. Strongly recommend pumpkin kibbeh and this restaurant
Dined on Middle East and vegetarian specialties prior to performance of singer-songwriters. Attentive service, intimate venue, a little dark.
We went to ZuZu in combination with attending a play at Central Square Theater. If you do that and show your ticket stubs, you get a nice discount which makes this restaurant a very reasonable outing. We were fortunate that the weather was perfect, so we dined outside at their sidewalk tables. It made it even more fun of an occasion.
The service was excellent... accommodating to our special request and not pushy at all. I am not sure about the others, but they must have enjoyed the food as there was little left on their plates. I had the lamb, which I thought needed a little something in the spice department, but it was filling and the mashed potatoes were very good. I just think I will try something else next time. My husband enjoyed his mussels and the other couple had middle eastern dishes.
Net/net, I would go back to ZuZu again.
The food was fantastic. The service was absolutely perfect! Our server was the best! We are from NY & our daughter goes to school at BU. We will b coming back everytime we come to Boston!
The food was disappointing, the last time I was at ZuZu both the food and the atmosphere were much better.
Very reasonable prices for delicious variety of brunch food
Hostess agreeably arranged extra two seats at our table reserved for four. Varied menu, vegetarian items, attentive service by "Winny." Enjoyed hearing Singer-Songwriter recital on Sunday evening. Staff ensured comfort and safety of guests. Convenient parking at Green Street Garage, 1-1/2 blocks from Middle East & Zuzu Clubs.
Really friendly, helpful waitstaff. Very good though not outstanding middle eastern apps and pupu platter. fun, Cambridge neighborhood experience.
The food that I've tried here so far has been great and their service is absolutely amaaazing! I would definitely recommend this spot to a friend! In fact, I already have! I've brought two of my friends and they loved it too. I plan to bring more!
The food is delicious. Cozy and pleasant atmosphere.
Loved the freshly made warm stuffed grape leaves and the chicken bric.
Honestly could have rated higher based on food and funky atmosphere, but I am a wine lover and they only offer a minimum selection of house wines. That was disappointing and affected overall experience.
That being said - food was excellent, with interesting / exotic presentation.
The appetizer sample platter (pupu platter) is excellent and never disappoints. My favorite item on the menu is the whipped garlic, literally a bowl of blenderized garlic that you can spread on everything — it’s amazing. Awesome decor, owned by a great family, a local institution and must-see place.
ZuZu was very nice, great food, good drinks, good service. We really enjoyed it.
Super fun, nice people, had a great meal at this eclectic Middle Eastern restaurant. We had the "pupu platter" sampler of appetizers since we didn't know the menu and it was delicious and a lot of food. One person ordered the Shrimp Scampi which was fresh and much more flavorful than the usual versions. Enjoy the loud, colorful, vibrant atmosphere and the friendly folk who run the place.
One note: wish some of the items on the pupu platter had been more freshly prepared, ie: the kebabs were reheated (barely) and obviously not recently grilled so dry and mushy...
Very quiet on a Tuesday night. The Zu Zu poopoo platter was the way to go. Everything was fresh and delicious. Loved the whipped garlic.
I brought a friend who had not been to ZuZu before, and we had excellent dishes - a salmon and a shrimp - and great service. It was a weeknight, so it was not jammed or noisy and we were able to take our time and sit with another glass of wine. Lovely.
Would not go back
