Pamper your taste buds at Zuzda. This restaurant serves tapas-style fusion cuisine in comfortable surrounds. Chef Doug Usko champions a small-plate menu that is designed to cater to the needs of even the most fastidious eaters. This restaurant no longer exists. It is disappointing that we were able to make reservations and then arrive to find that the owner had packed up and moved away.

A wide variety of great tasting "little plates". Everyone can enjoy whatever they are in mood for. Don't skip the Key Lime Pie.

Third time eating here. They really reduced the menu, too many changes. The food was still very good however very limited choices now. Liked the previous menu better.....they also cut back days of operation.
Prices aren't bad for the area. Service was very good, attentive. I would recommend they keep to what they do/did best.....tapas.

Zuzda has changed their menu since we first started dining there but they still have all of our favorites. Don't miss the dynamite sushi rolls, chicken francaise, bang bang shrimp & fresh trout because they are always scrumptious! This time we also tried the chicken pot pie, prime rib sliders and fresh grouper fingers and we loved all of it! Our group always shares so we can try a huge variety and that's the way to go at Zuzda... Except for dessert-we don't share that because it's just too delicious to share! We did discover how tasty the tempura pineapple and caramel Brie were together and will definitely have that combo again! Wine selection is great too! Can't wait to go back soon!

As many others have found, this restaurant is a gem. Excellent food and a nicely varied tapas menu, pleasant and attentive service, and elegant decor made for a great introduction. There are several other restaurants in Banner Elk that we've liked, but this tops the list.

Have always loved this tapa's restaurant, but found on recent visit, menu had changed and been pared down. Seemed like more full entree items and less of the original smaller tapa's. Some items remained, but preferred the old menu.

For being a small restaurant in Banner Elk, NC our party of 3 was incredibly pleased. We ordered 6+ dishes (entrees and dessert) and everything was great. Generous portions for tapas (more than we could eat truthfully) the food was well seasoned and had great flavors, and a variety of menu choices.

Our waitress was friendly and helpful in recommending some of her favorite tapas. Would definitely recommend Zuzda.

Nothing really special about this place. Our server started to bring out our dishes then told me they had run out of what I wanted so I had to wait another 15 minutes for my first dish to come out.

We left early because the service was so slow. Our salads took about 15 minutes to come out and it took 40 minutes for our main dishes to arrive. We overheard others talking that the lobster special was taking so much prep time the kitchen staff couldn't keep pace with the other orders. Rebecca was great... We liked her.

I had heard good things about this restaurant, and I thought I would give it a try. They handled a table of four well, plus a baby, well and easily. The staff was helpful and friendsly and the food was excellent.
