Zucca
Spectacular Staff. Food delicious and fresh.
Vibrant scenery.
Love the place
Very pricey for good but not outstanding experience. Best selection, as stated by waiter, not available. Service was excellent, but rest was just okay. Give it a 6 on a 10 scale.
Excellent food, service and location. Great Sunday brunch as well.
Great service and a very good meal. Alex at the bar was excellent.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food, great wine list, and excellent service.
Service was very slow. It took over 40 minutes for the main dish to come. Seabass, overpriced at $46, tasted stale and fishy.
Excellent food, excellent service. My wife and I spent our three year anniversary there and she absolutely loved everything about it. Couldn’t recommend Zucca enough
Really bad attention on sundays, too much for the food offer
I took friends for brunch to celebrate their recent wedding, I love this restaurant and had previously enjoyed the brunch, albeit pricey but it was a lovely experience, but that was in 2017 and boy have things changed. The service was less than average Alfredo was not interested in providing us with any kind of service. The first time I called on another waiter to ask him to call Alfredo as his back was to our table and he was busy speaking to his peers, he turned around and said I already asked her if she wanted anything, he finally came over and I asked him for the champagne list to which he responded Prosecco or rose prosseco, I once again asked him for the list, he brought the list and when I made my selection for a bottle of rose champagne he again asked Prosecco or rose Prosecco, once again not paying attention, I had to call him back and point to the list to show him I wanted a bottle from the list. Once we were done with our first round of antipasto I had to call him to ask for the pasta dishes, there was never a time when he willingly came to the table on his own, 2 bottles of Lamiable Grand Cru Rosé, and 1 bottle of Château La Nerthe Chateâuneuf du Pape, Rhône later you would think he would have taken an interest in us, but no every time or glasses were nearly empty we had to call him, frankly he should have just left the bottles at the table and we would have been happier. The pasta he served is was cold, the quality of the food was not up to par with the previous brunch or the quality of the many dinners I have enjoyed their, the usual manager was not there, which is probably why the service was soo poor, it saddens me to write this as this is truly one of my favorite restaurants in the Gables, it will be a long time before I come back, $800 later for brunch for 4 was a very disappointing outing at least the champagne and the wine was good!
Everything was great. Can’t wait to go back
Excellent!
Excellent experience all around. The food was fantastic - my friends and I ordered “family style” and got the beet/quinoa and artichoke salads, both of which were refreshing departures from the typical “lettuce and tomato” salad you find at most restaurants. We also had the fried zucchini flowers with ricotta cheese (wonderful flavor, very light despite being fried); the octopus (I do not eat octopus but my friends loved it); and the branzino with vegetables (light and perfectly prepared/seasoned). The tiramisu was the perfect culmination of our meal - light and flavorful. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and we enjoyed the fact that the staff didn’t rush us or push us out once we had finished our meal. Definitely on the pricier side but portions were reasonable and filling. Will definitely be back!
Not my first time at Zucca but yes my first brunch. Amazing display of delicious food and rose prosecco. Lovely! Just make sure to not make plans for dinner! Aside the buffet there are pasta, fish and beef tastings. Great value at this beautiful location
The food, ambiance and service from our waitress were all outstanding. However, with 9 pm reservations, we weren’t seated until almost 10 pm. There were no seats at the bar for our party of 4, so our husbands stood for almost an hour. Patrons were eating at the bar. Maybe on weekend nights there should be no food service at the bar.
This was my first time and I loved it. Pretty good list of Italian wines and the food is fantastic. I had a risotto with 3 fungi that was the best one I’ve had in a long time. Service is good but very the place was hectic and busy.
Like always... Very Good!
The ambience, the food, the service is very good
Romantic atmosphere
Zucca is a treat. Beautiful setting, delicious food and good list of wines. It's on the pricey side so as stated, good for a special night
disappointing. Had eaten there in the past and it was better before.
Sent back my wife's main course Branzino - over cooked dry and tasteless.
My Osso Buca was good but have had better at other Coral Gables restaurants
Food, service, and ambiance were great! Can’t wait to go back!
Great ambience, great location, good bar, average food and service
Great food and ambience.
The owners are always in the restaurant, that makes the attention super!
Zucca has been a favorite of ours for quite a while. You need to make reservations early, usually a day before or you'll be hard pressed to get a table. However it's well worth it. As son as you arrive, the valet greets you can very quickly and conveniently parks your car (make sure you bring some cash though, they don't take credit cards for valet). You'll be seated immediately and they'll make sure you like the table. It's very quiet and although it's a busy place, there's plenty of space and it's quite private.
The server will bring bread and water and take your drink order, then explain the menu. You aren't ever rushed, but they are tremendously attentive. one of the best things about the service here is that they are very attentive, you won't want for anything, but they are subtle and pick up on things without interrupting. If you were having a date or ultra private business discussion, you'd be fine. These servers are pros.
The food selection is tremendous and there's something for everyone. If you have any questions, they'll explain it to you and you may catch yourself looking at other table's food en route to being served b/c the presentation is excellent. They have a great pace and as soon as you're all finished with one course, they clear the table and bring out the next one. It runs like clockwork, efficient but not rushed. If you want to take your time you don't need to say anything, the server will pick up on the tempo and adjust.
They have a great selection of everything, for instance, you can get Remy Martin Louis Xiii by the ounce or 1/2 ounce. Everything is just done to perfection. I've been there a few times for lunch, this is my fifth dinner and every time the experience has been the same. They just really know how to run a restaurant and do it as well as anyone can do it.
Never did the hostess say that there was live music on the area of our assigned table; server with no voice projection made it difficult to hear over the loud music. Carpaccio appetizer was out of this world; amazing (and we have been to -multiple, not just one- Michelin stars restaurants in our travels). Hosted accommodated a change to the quiet restaurant area. Reset the visit. Main courses here. Excellent service, ambiance, music level... did I mention the service. Excellent Tagliatelle...
After all, a very good experience!!
Great food and service. Top quality
Very good ambience, delicious meal.
Clean and beautiful placê.
We went back because we had a good experience a couple of months ago but Nothing special this time. Place was pretty empty last Saturday which isn’t a good indication.
The impression is that the area is slightly too dark.
Wine list is great, food has a good genuine Italian Taste.
Positive visit.
Everything was excellent
I met some friends for Sunday brunch. It was amazing!!! Great service, fantastic food at a great value with nice ambiance. We loved it and will be back! Highly recommend!
What a fabulous amazing dinner.
Great. Wonderful atmosphere, food and service!!
My husband and I had wanted to try the restaurant for a while. We used to go there when it was Place St. Michel and loved the restaurant then. Restaurant changed hands multiple times but was never as good. Now it is even better. Finally went for our anniversary. I had the Branzino and my husband had the Osso Buco. Food was delicious. Our server Fabrizio was marvelous. Atmosphere terrific. Can’t wait to go back.
Excellent! I loved the limoncellos!
It’s a very romantic setting with amazing Italian food.
Very good food and ambiance. The owners always present make this restaurant “one of a kind”
Waited a long time for check. Pretty expensive Dover sole...
WE HAD FRIENDS IN FROM NEW YORK AND TOOK THEM TO YOUR BRUNCH --
FOUND BRUNCH CONFUSING AND THE SERVICE EXTREMELY BAD.
NEEDLESS TO SAY WILL NOT GO BACK OR RECOMMEND
Fantastic meal and service!
The food was great however, you can have the best meal and service not be at the same level and it ruins the experience. I had chosen Zucca over another Italian place for a bday occasion and regretted it. Branzino—- AmaZing! But if you want service especially for a special occasion —- this is not the spot. They could care less if there is a bday. It is a pity as the food is great. However, I will not be rushing back. There is an Italian spot close by just as good with better service !!
Nice place and ambiance. But despite reservation we had to wait aprox 20 min to be sitted. And while we were told to sit at the bar to wait, when there the bar attendant said that my son could not sit there and hd to stand next to us (but not sit) ????. Quite rude
