   ~ Food was good but definitely not as good as our last visit about 6 months ago. Enchilada Pollo has little flavor. Maybe they changed chef? ~ only 1 "active" server around on a Friday night. Unfortunately, we got almost no explanation on drinks or special. It used to be much better where they explained to you on different drink choices and food. This time the overall quality is definitely not the same excellent quality. Disappointed as we were hoping to show our out of town guests real awesome Mexican cuisine.

   Menu was delicious! I had the blue corn enchiladas and they were fabulous. Friend had the carnitas tacos and she liked them as well. Ordered the ahi starter and was disappointed. Sort of smoked and carpaccio like- not what we expected. Two things make this a place I wouldn't recommend. 1. The service was slow for lunch. We got there 15 minutes early for our 1 on reservation and they were able to seat us, which was great. However we waited for a long time to get our drinks, have a second drink and even get our bill. No way could you do this place in an hour if you have a traditional lunch hour. 2. The mixed drinks (margaritas) had lovely flavor but I swear they did not have a drop of alcohol in them. Friends of mine had warned me that they had dinner and drinks a few weeks ago and just for fun did a breathalyzer after they left and they both blew 0.00 after 4 drinks. Not cool.

   Stopped on the way to Santa Cruz to visit family. Had lunch here. Absolutely fabulous. We will stop here for lunch from now on. The guacamole with pistachios and bacon is killer. And the carnitas tacos really great. The chicken enchiladas were soooo good. We were using the extra chips to get all the sauce. Next time we will get the tamales and try the salsa. So many choices and all look excellent. Very small restaurant with food that is so fresh and really lovely. Service was great. We had a late lunch on New Years Eve and the restaurant was not full. But I imagine most days would be full. We were lucky to get in as a last minute plan. Try it you will definitely like it.

   This is a gem. The food is fantastic. The problem is the size of the restaurant and insufficient staff. I think we made reservations two weeks ahead. We still had to wait 15 minutes for a table. I'm not sure if they were short staffed that night or they just run lean, but it was an issue. If you want a great meal, go to Zona Rosa- just be patient!

   Really good food here and a neighborhood gem. Unfortunately the last two times we visited they had the door wide open on chilly evenings. Lots of diners have their jackets or coats on. That seems uncomfortable and unreasonable to me. I do not want to be cold while I am trying to enjoy my dinner.

   The guacamole with pistachios and bacon was the best I've ever tasted. The carnitas was braised to perfection and the complex flavors in the gravy were delightful. My wife ordered the enchiladas and found them as pleasing as our previous visit. The casual no rush atmosphere enhanced our dining experience.

   You know you have found a great restaurant when you bring your friend that owns a restaurant and they fall in love with everything from the horchata with almond, blood orange jalapeno soda, and Francisco Libre margarita (tequila blanco, pressed cilantro, jalapeno, lime, agave...need I say more?) to their ZR nachos (don't forget to add carnitas), tres salsas (smoked cashew salsa? Yup, it works!) and guacamole with bacon and pistachios. We were not sure we would have room to try several of their taqueria tacos, but we managed. Everything was amazing. We will be back, again and again.

   Bad service. We walked in and someone just said "You have reservations!!". He didn't say hello or how are you. He sat us down and he seemed to be in a hurry. We asked for waters. He didn't bring it in until awhile and didn't even pour it. Los Gatos is a high end area and when we were here last time, we had better service. Our server also seemed to be rushing us; again because like I said earlier, he seemed to be in a rush himself. The worst thing was when we were already finished, my husband and I just wanted to finish our cocktails, relax, and talk so usually the servers clear the dishes in front of us.. He gave us our check, picked up the check, and walked by us two more times and couldn't even just clear our table. We left! Worst service ever in such a nice and upscale place.

    I booked my reservation on Open Table and was confirmed via my email but upon arrival the restaurant did not have my reservation. Luckily the restaurant wasn't too busy. The host showed us to a table and we were able to enjoy another great dinner at Zona Rosa-LG!
