I love the Zolo Grill. It has been a favorite of mine for a long time! The patio is a lot of fun!
Great meal. So sad that the restaurant is closing.
Unfortunately just an awful dining experience that took two hours, not even the offer to comp a drink plus my stomach hurt all
Night .
We normally love Zolo!
Food was excellent but our experience wasn’t great this time. Our order came out in pieces, soup was cold so my husband sent back. My meal came out with his soup so I waited for the soup to be warmed took a long time so then my meal was cold. So they took it back which was good, then brought out his enchilada. Then my meal came back a while later. Just was clunky service this time. We so appreciate that they’re there so we tipped well, just wasn’t great service especially given we were there early and restaurant was sparse? Still love Zolo and we’ll be back, just wasn’t up to par this time.
Margarita was excellent. Fairly good Tequila selection for my friends who had a few shots.
Really missed their fabulous tableside guacamole as their menu has changed. I had Colorado trout, which was excellent. Chicken enchiladas were quite good. Mushroom tamale must have been great because it disappeared before I could get a taste! Finally the flatiron steak was very nicely prepared & tasty.
Zolo is always a favorite, with great service and food. Love the new menu additions and the old standbys, though now that the weather is getting colder, really miss the tortilla soup.
I don't write restaurant reviews very often, but Zolo was exceptional so here I am. This was my first visit to this restaurant, and the thing that really stood out for me was just how fresh the food was. The vegetables were gorgeous, and the food was delicious. The food wasn't super "heavy" but instead felt closer to how I might make it at home if I was this good a cook on this type of cuisine. Service was also really really friendly. We sat outside and it was lunch time, so it was quiet and very relaxing, but I don't know what it's like indoors at night in terms of noise. Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this restaurant, and I'll be back!
Great new menu, served with love by staff. a great experience. While restaurants suffer from limited seating, I highly recommend we keep this one open by dining in or out.
Best enchiladas in town. Just sayin.
Amazing as always.
Always love zolo. Even after the changes with covid. Food is excellent.
The whole menu has changed leaving a rather boring menu to choose from. We have eaten here for about 13 years and really disappointed.
The chicken enchiladas were awesome! And the mole was off the chain! I wish they would package and sell it by the jar it is best I’ve ever had.
Food was good and the staff were very friendly and efficient. We felt very reassured and safe that all guideline for COVID were being followed. We will return.
It was just lunch with an old friend, but the wonderful wait staff made it special. Food was fantastic - we split cactus & corn fritters, an out-of-this world relleno, and delightful enchiladas. Everything was split on separate plates for us. Service was friendly and attentive, but never intrusive and followed every safety precaution. In the midst of this beastly pandemic, Zolo provided a little oasis of pleasure.
Sad that the menu has changed. We had a late lunch so not many people. Our lunch took a little longer due to a misunderstanding of my order, how hard is Christmas salsa on an enchilada?
This was my very favorite restaurant for the past 15 years, I’m sorry to see it change, hopefully it will find its footing and be great again! Also—it’s COVID time so not easy for anyone.
As always, Zolo Grill delivers excellent food and service. There was no issue getting a table for 6 at lunchtime. Every employee in the restaurant says hello and greets you. My friends from out of town raved about the food.
Love their outdoor dining with a view of the Flatirons. Food and margaritas are always top notch and service is friendly and professional.
We have loved Zolo for many years. This is the first time we've been back since Covid. While we sympathize with all restaurant owners and workers during this very difficult time, we were quite disappointed. They are taking this time to "change up" the menu and go with a different theme. Very upsetting since right now those of us who go to restaurants want the things we love about a particular restaurant before this horrible virus.
What, no more chips, guac and salsa??? Zolo's salsas were always so delicious. We tried one of their other dips. got 3 crackers with it for 4 adults. Had to ask for more. Entrees came out wrong. Chicken in the veg enchiladas. The server was very helpful and the manager also apologized and gave coupons. Overall things just weren't as excellent as we always have experienced at Zolo. We'll give it another try, I guess, but then not sure we'll go back. This makes us very sad.
Really delicious dinner and great wait staff! They brought us complementary corn bread that was amazing. The avocado dip was also excellent... Definitely recommend
For a Thursday lunch, Zolo was a good choice. We were seated on the sun porch where the service was excellent. We began with nibbbles of a complementary loaf of delicious cornbread, followed by the special appetizer of crab dip with pickled vegetables and toasts. I had an excellent chili cheese burger and my husband had the lamb dip. We took lots of leftovers home because the portions were generous. The only thing we didn't like were the potatoes that came with the lamb. We had not been in Zolo for quite a while and are happy to be reacquainted. We'll be back.
We sat out on the patio which looks directly at the Flatirons.
Beautiful evening.
Great food.
wonderful and delicious
We enjoyed lunch on the patio. We had the green rice and beans and a choke salad. Both were great. Good service to top it off.
We love going to Zolos! The service is outstanding! The food is excellent! The setting is perfect!
My husband and I had an a combo anniversary dinner and flying in to see our niece. This restaurant was a great introduction to Boulder and Colorado cuisine. It had unique flavors, impeccable service, and set the standard for our trip.
Great weekday lunch--some old Zolo classics and a new item or two. Everything was well-prepared and tasty.
First time back since reopening and new menu and everything was delicious! They were accommodating to my ridiculous allergies and the drinks were spot on. Great experience, a Boulder staple you must support!
The food and drinks were incredible! I think this is our new fav in Boulder.
So delicious! And the safety practices are the best you'll see. We will definitely be back for the chicken enchiladas and banana cream pie!
Love the menu! This restaurant never disappoints, have been eating here for the last 18 years!
Some of the food was a little bit overcooked for my taste, but the atmosphere and our server Madi made it up for it! Will be back😊
Wonderful food as s as always. It appeared as if there was a staff shortage as our server was running all around and had quite a few tables to take care of. Usually much more attentive. We arrived exactly when they opened up at 4P with reservations and only one couple in front of us. I suspect this was a problem for that day, Sunday the 30th
Good variety of food. Mexican and more tradiotional like ribs and fish with a mexican twist. Peach grumble great, for desert, very small slice of chocolate cake so that portion not good value, But overall very good value and xorn bread to start wonderful. Service started off great but when it got bisy inside sort of forget about us. We collected plates and out them at the end of our table, had to go in to ask about deserts also had to go in to ask for the bill. I think they were short staffed.
The shrimp appetizer and chicken enchiladas where delicious!!! Home made corn bread was really great as well.
Great restaurant- have gone there for years. It is loud so we do sometimes go elsewhere if we need to talk a lot. But that’s my only complaint.
Super service and nice change to the menu to use more locally sourced ingredients in the recipes.
As I've come to expect at Zolo, the food and service were well above average. We shared the corn fritters and I had the chili salad, both were delicious. As was the complimentary cornbread, fabulous! Only wish I'd had room for banana cream pie. Next time!
Love the refreshed menu options. The Cactus & Corn Fritters, Pan Seared Colorado Trout, and House Mojito are not to be missed!
Out of everything
