We order from Zocalo frequently for take out. This is the first time dining there. It was great. Top marks across the board. We were a table of 9. Our only complaint was that the music was a bit loud inside for a 5:30 pm Sunday crowd in our opinion. That won’t stop us from returning. Keep up the great work.

We keep coming back because everyone there is responsive and friendly. From Nina and Zoe at the fro t to Courtney, Josh, Becky, Kendall and Eric. The management is present and makes everyone feel welcome. Our server Jaime was great and it was well done for a busy Mothers Day dinner.

I took my wife on Mother's Day. We made reservations, so we didn't wait and got seated straight away when we walked in. Great so far! The first server took our order and everything was moving along smoothly. Until the second server was transferred to us, things got sour. She was not giving us attention even to fill our drinks, we were not offered dessert, but simply told she is bringing us the bill. Then the bill had issues! The restaurant has great food, no doubt about that, but the service was not good and we were being forced out so they could continue seating people. Zocalos must have been doing a competition because I saw a leaderboard of other Zocalos in the area and how many people they served that day. It was apparent that because of this competition our service was terrible!

My husband and I go here often so we decided to take my mother & grandmother who were in town for Mother’s Day! They absolutely loved everything about it! They were so impressed on taste of food, the beauty of the restaurant & service! & for the cherry on top of everything they had mariachis who serenaded some of the tables (ours being one of them) everything was perfect!!! 🙏🏽 I do recommend making reservations at least 1 week in advance for special occasions. Or even on a weekend dinner because this place gets packed! Also; my grandma got cochinito pibil and we got to taste it; it was AMAZING, my husband got the carnita plate; also AMAZING! & make sure to try their queso fondido it is a MUST!!

Great Cinco de Mayo celebration! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The ambience is great, neat decor. Extra festive for Cinco de Mayo, complete with a mariachi band! Good and drunk were delicious as well. Great place for two or a big group.

Waited 10-15 minutes on the table before someone got our order. The waiter was not prompt with the order, forgot to bring an extra item, no water. Our table was passed on to another person, got a bit better but the whole experience was ruined already. Too many supervisors with ties walking around with iPads counting tables but no one asked if we were helped I expected better !

I have visited Zocalo in both downtown and Roseville location quite frequently. This is my first time ordering Taco Salad and it was just ok. Quite disappointing. When I walked in to the restaurant, it wasn't busy - Monday afternoon and there was a lady sitting working on her laptop and I literally stood there and wait - not a response from her - only to know later that she is one of the staff there - probably a Manager.

Staff was friendly and there was no wait for a table especially with a reservation. Service was excellent and prompt. Both of us enjoyed our meal. Mine was a taco plate with two different kinds of meat. Very good. Desert was very good. Churros and ice cream which we shared plus got cake desert to go and it was yummy.

The music was very loud, the food was decent and the service started out good. Unfortunately it seemed that we were forgotten once our food arrived. We waited a while for boxes. Then when we finally got them we sat another 10 minutes waiting for anyone to come by so we could order another drink. When our server finally came back we weren’t asked if we wanted anything else she just brought the bill. At that point we were tired of waiting so we politely let her know we had wanted another drink but after sitting so long we had changed our mind. It didn’t seem to matter much to her, she ran our credit card and we left.

The ambiance is great but the restaurant was too noisy. We couldn’t hear the waiter and had to scream to get our questions across. The restaurant is pricy!! I don’t mind it for we are celebrating an important milestone. We are vegetarians and we clarified if they have options which was confirmed that they do. But all the food that came out was heavy on rice and beans and had very little vegetables in them. The salsas were good and service was impeccable. But I don’t see myself returning because I felt it lacked nutrition.

Salmon bowl and enchiladas are good. Grilled fish tacos were bland. Slow in getting check at end of dinner. Finally, told busperson and waiter that it was my brother's bday and would like an ice cream to celebrate as they normally provide for bday's. Also mentioned it in my on-line reservation. Never happened. Overall, while an enjoyable dinner with friends and family, not totally impressed with the restaurant and don't feel like I must go back again. Too may other choices that may be better.

Easter brunch was good. They went out of their way to decorate and even had the Easter Bunny walk around and hand out Easter eggs to kids. Food was good as it always is.
