Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Really good food and good service , shame the restaurant wasn’t very busy , only because we felt like we stayed quite late but it was just because there weren’t may people rather than because it was late !!

Zizzi were unaware of our reservation but luckily had space to fit us in. Unfortunately they were short staffed, our food took over 50 mins to arrive. It was delicious when it did however this was still unacceptable. There was no apology for the delay until we asked for a free round of soft drinks to say sorry... this was given to us. I won’t be going back for a while

We had a lovely experience at Zizzi. The staff were warm and friendly , we had a nice table with plenty of room and the food was delicious.

Firstly the menu seemed confusing. The food was far too hot my friend and I had to leave our food to cool in the meantime our 2 other friends had nearly finished their main. I felt the drinks were expensive I didn't feel it was value for money. On the upside our waiter was very attentive.

Good ambience. We had booked a table for 4 at 7pm. Lots of diners in already. No problem with reservation and shown straight to table. Our service was fine, a bit slow but as all tables had diners this was acceptable. Food wise, we had booked as we had had an excellent meal recently at Zizzi's Leeds, so hoped for similar experience. While food was was well prepared 2 mains let the side down. The Risotto was so over powered with Sage that all other flavours disappeared and my wife found inedible after half the plate. Our pizza was also very hot and seemed to be on the heavy side. Probably our palate on the day. On the plus side the birthday offer of x1 free meal and a bottle of sparkling wine was very welcome and our other food was good.
