   Arrived just before the booking time - we were made to wait five minutes whilst the assistant attempted to find our booking. We were shown to the table and we waited over 20 minutes - nobody to came to take a drinks order. We left after 20 minutes. It's a shame because this was a valentine's meal plan and the building was very nicely decorated - just a pity about the poor service. Fortunately there are lots of other nice restaurants nearby.

   Arrived at 7 as per Opentable booking - Zizzi didn’t have a record of the booking for us so didn’t get a nice table and they didn’t know it was my daughter’s 21st, meaning she didn’t get birthday candles. Waited an hour for food. Chips missed off and only arrived when everything else nearly finished. Regularly had to get up to ask for more drinks/salt pepper etc. no one came and checked on us. Ordered a choc sundae for pudding, waited over 20 mins and finally a banana calzone arrived. Terrible service, food not amazing when it finally arrived. £103 for 4 people - not great!!

   The best part is the beautiful location inside an old church. The food was good too, but ultimately the building is the show stopper!

   Initially the service was ok, but we waited over half an hour to place an order for our dessert; in the end we gave up and decided to get the bill; it took over 10 minutes to get the attention of the waiter.

   Reason for low score is due to having to wait nearer 2 hours for our food due to the staff “forgetting” to put our order through. Being sat there for so long waiting before it was even realised you would have thought with relevant care and attention someone would have noticed. Although we got some discount in the end after a number of conversations it didn’t seem to much of a big deal that we had waited nearer 2 hours.

   Terrible experience with the restaurant failing to mention the 150 school party they had booked in, delaying service and creating complete havoc with both customers and the staff. Fish had to be returned and the replacement was just as bad finalised with a new condescending manager saying after we had listened to his pre rehearsed patter that he wouldn’t charge for the inedible fish! A free glass (1) of Prosecco, not charging for 1 round of drinks and the smarmy attitude of the manager didn’t make up for the ruined evening. Great work!!!

   A fabulous meal in a truly memorable setting. The service was second to none and our waiter was very friendly and professional. We could not decide between the food, ambience or service, they were all just amazing!! 5* is too few for Zizzi Cheltenham!

   Food was very poor. If I wasn't with a working lunch would have sent it back.
