Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. There was no opentable reservation in their system. We got place next to smelly and not very clean toilets. Food and service was OK. Deserts were really tasty.

Due to the snow there were only two members of staff on, they were working hard! Consequently long waits to be served, which was challenging with really hungry six and seven year olds. Would have given more stars but the waitress wasn’t particularly friendly or personable, although she was diligent and hard working.

Very enjoyable, overall higher than average in all areas, food excellent. Only downside was table location, next to kitchen and unsightly view of dirty dishes during service, but not the end of the world.

New deco was very nice & welcoming. Staff were helpful & friendly. Food was tasty, although the portion was on the small side, ok for children but not for over 6ft men feeling hungry. Us ladies wouldn't of minded our portions being a little larger too!

A very enjoyable meal, we were all pleased with the food, excellent choice and was served really hot. No complaints at all and that's unlike me ! Would definitely recommend and definitely plan to go back again soon.
