Zitz Sum is a 30 seat seasonal restaurant located inside of an historic building in Coral Gables, Florida. Our story, is a story of resilience, passion & commitment, that is translated in a plate of food, excellent service and unapologetic gracious hospitality. Our current menu is an autobiographical journey reflecting Chef’s experiences and our affinity for Japanese ingredients and technique.

We currently offer A la carte menu that changes with the seasons, and a Seven Course Tasting Menu that changes weekly. Our tasting menu consists of playful snacks and bites to get the night going, and an array of our signature and favorite current dishes. Part of the tasting menu is presented in a family style format conducive for sharing and celebrating.

Zitz Sum is recipient of a 2022, 2023 & 2024 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Award, a 2022 James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and a New York Times 2022 Best 50 Restaurants in America.

Zitz Sum is honored to announce a special culinary collaboration with Chef Ryan Costanza of the esteemed Present Tense in Nashville! Two chefs that met over their love and passion for Izakayas and Japanese food in general and their passion for sake. As our guests for this special evening, you can expect a one-of-a-kind dining experience as these Chefs present a thoughtfully curated menu reflecting Japanese Soul Food. Seating 1: 5:00 PM Seating 2: 7:30 PM Friends in Town, a dining series by OpenTable x Visa, allows guests to experience collaborations between two chefs from different cities creating unique, limited time menus. This restaurant is an experience. Beautiful intimate atmosphere. Impeccable service by waitstaff that are attentive and knowledgeable. Each dish superbly crafted with unique blends of flavors and textures. Not a single dish disappoints. A must dining spot.

Food was extremely delicious. The scallop crudo, bing bread, wontons, and salmon were all home-runs. Can’t wait to come back.

Four of us enjoyed the Chef’s tasting menu, which was beautifully presented and every bite was as delicious as it looked. We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and are so pleased we finally made it there. Highly recommended. A true gem.

The food and tasting menu was good, which with my partner and I ordered but the Restaurant was incredibly hard to find and there was no bathroom either.

The food was amazing, creative and delicious. The service was great and ambiance too. I’m not sure if it was an issue the night we were there, but it was very warm in the restaurant, uncomfortable warm and the red wine was served warm as well. But, the food made up for it.
