Service was SO slow and inattentive. Took 30mins for drinks to come out and more than an hour for food. I love the other zinque locations but there are so many options in DTLA now that I will not go back.

Next time we will come for dinner, heard the branding is insane. Great space, feels very cosy despite being industrial. great neighborhood, and the service was amazing. Very happy to see this kind of restaurant coming to our neighborhood.
We were sat at a table in a hallway that goes to the bathrooms, even though it was 5pm and there was hardly anyone in there. We waited ten minutes before anyone brought water. We had been there 20 minutes when finally someone took our drink order. We ordered food then as well because we were afraid he wouldn't come back. My meal came out but not my side or my friend's meal. Our wine had still not shown up. After waiting another 10 minutes, I had to track down the waiter to ask where everything was. Finally, the rest of the food was brought and it was lukewarm like it had been sitting around. About 20 minutes before our show started, the waiter expressed "concern" about getting us out on time and brought the bill. Then, he disappeared again and we had to flag someone else down to pay. It was so stressful. I will never go back.
Really fun for lunch before the theatre. Cool spot and not crowded (yet).

We dined after a show at the ACE Hotel Theater and had a nice late night meal. While the food was well prepared, due to the casual/bar menu, I can't say that the food was "outstanding." We had some delicious and interesting wine selections and our waiter was outstanding. I would definitely return.
Came to try their Dine LA menu, and I have to say it was definitely worth it! Zinqué has been on my foodie list since their downtown location opened. The restaurant itself is right next door to the famous Ace Hotel, so it’s not too hard to find, but parking is a hit or miss. The interior gives off warm French cafe vibes, dimly lit, warm woods, and is a lovely place for a date or girls night. Our server was sweet and attentive and offered a few options for wine from their large selection.
Now let’s get to the food, their menu is on the higher end, so DineLA offers a great option to try 3 courses for a cool price of $39.
I ordered the grilled shrimp for the appetizer, 10 beautifully cooked shrimps dressed in herbs and served with a slice of lemon wedge. Simple and refreshing!
For the second course, I decided on the steak frites. Grilled steak cooked to temp of choice, served with thin cut fries. They offer the option of peppercorn or chimichurri for the steak and they give both ketchup and spicy mayo for the potatoes. Tasty and cooked to my personal liking. Lastly, the sweets... I opted with the seasonal crumble: a mixed berry compote topped with sweet crumble and a scoop of ice cream, the perfect end to a great meal.
Staff was good until desert. We ordered a cobbler and weren’t told it would take longer to cook and we were on a time schedule.
Aside from that, staff was good.

When I made my reservation I didn't realize that I had actually been here before. We had an avocado/tomato tartine which wasn't anything special and a different flat bread, I forget what it was (so I guess it also, wasn't anything too amazing). I had the mussels which just had a strange broth, I wasn't expecting it and I unfortunately didn't enjoy it that much. My husband had the burger which he liked. The fries are skinny and crispy and very yummy. We also had the chocolate flourless cake which is served warm and is very nice. My favorite part of dinner was the virgin cocktail I had, the server seemed a little confused by a virgin cocktail (he offered me a cranberry juice) but he must've relayed my request to the bartender anyways because he put together a beautiful pink drink for me, garnished with cherries and a violet.
It’s my second time at Zinqué and the only reason I went back was because of a reasonably priced happy hour; otherwise, I think it’s a limited menu and overpriced. Well, management has decided you can only order off the happy hour menu if you sit at the bar. So I wound up paying $40+ for an okay quinoa salad with an overcooked piece of salmon and a side of French fries. I drank water. The waitress was terrific but we had to ask where our complete order was. Overall, not great & I won’t go back.
This place was everything we'd hoped for in a pre-show dinner. We chose it because of its proximity to the Theatre at Ace Hotel, but it over-delivered on experience. The service was what really made it great; the bartender and server were attentive, helpful, friendly, and kind. The food was unique and every bite delicious. The wine list was interesting and had a great selection of international wines, and the cocktails were superb. Definitely order the ahi tuna tartine - I'm still thinking about it three days later.
food was excellent.... tuna tartar the best... brussel sprouts yummy even better the next day..
