Zinqué - DTLA
Staff was kind, prompt and witty. Food was delish! I risked ordering French fries. The type wasn’t listed. My heart exploded with joy when the plate came out shoestring. Pommes frites style. I loathe steak fries. Size matters. My dinner partner ordered TWO desserts and was in heaven eating them both while I sipped a very reasonably priced, solid Montepulciano. Bottom line: Great price / value equation. Delightful quality experience. Low key, not stuck up. Everything I look for in a restaurant. 5 stars.
Good food and ambience. We got our meals at different times but we're in F&B so we know it happens so all good!
A great find in DTLA. Love this place service is great and the bowls are delicious
We enjoy coming here! One of our faves In DTLA! Everyone is super nice here.
All I’m going to say is this: If My boyfriend and I could eat at this restaurant everyday we would, and we have!
Food is consistently AMAZING, we have literally eaten just about everything on the menu and fall in love with it every time we return.
Customer service is phenomenal, hands down one of the best restaurants in LA.
Too many homeless ppl begging for money when trying to enjoy a relaxed evening.
The flatbread I wanted was sold out. The Chardonnay I wanted was sold out and conveniently only the more expensive one was available.
One of our favorite places.... were there 2-3x a week.... we love sitting at the high tops next to the bar... the inner tables best... it keeps the bums away!!!
Very poor service. Hard to track down and inconsistent with timing: entrees and appetizers arrived at the same time
We were really excited to go there for the first time , I make our reservation days before so we can get good sitting, anyway we got there and it was one table for 6 okay fine is the only table that’s ok but that’s not okay that it was not umbrella to avoid the sun , well I asked to hostess to please move the umbrella so we can eat comfortable, she did but I do not like it at all that she went to the other table and said that I demand the umbrella!! I mean really??? Blame on me to do your job? Wow! I heard everything she said to the other customers.. and other annoying and unacceptable it was that 4 of our dishes we got at the same time and 2 of them we got probably 30 min later if is not more and I had to ask for them and one of them it was a salmon which salmon never took more than 15 min to be ready .... plus they never ever mentioned that tip it was included in the bill , I would appreciate if the hostess let us know so I wouldn’t leave more tip in cash and personally I think is not okay to include it even is 6 or more people, why ? Because it’s not a full service plus orders take more wayyy more time to get than the other orders?? Just no , never coming back in here and I will make sure to let my friends /fam know about the awful experience ... good luck !
I was really impressed with the whole experience. The service was impeccable, food was amazing, so much flavor and beautifully arranged on the plate. Would definitely come back again for breakfast, would rate it as the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Thanks for such a great experience.
Great place! They've set up very nicely to deal with covid requirements. Everything is spaced great and all the staff were wearing masks and gloves.
The food was delicious as were the cocktails, and the waitress was very nice and gave great advice on what to try.
During this pandemic, there outdoor seating was perfect.
On of our favorite place’s in DTLA!!! We are there at least 2-3 x a week. Happy hour is the best!
Their system messed up the order and two of our plates never went through, and they make you pay beforehand so it was annoying trying to cancel.
Really enjoyed the experience. They are taking great precautions for COVID. The food, service, and ambience were great
Zinque has adapted to outdoor dining very well with some great service, safety measures, and menu to boot.
First timer here and I was not disappointed. DineLA is the initial reason for wanting to try their menu. The food amazing and I am so glad that those dishes where also on their regular menu and not just limited to the DineLA weeks. Will definitely return. Big plus, they make an exceptional old fashioned. Much appreciated it.
We plan to come back. Thank you for the great food, vibes, and service.
Our starter didn’t come out until our entrees and was cold.
No one ever came back to check on us or ask how we liked it.
When we asked for our check the server still did not ask if everything was okay.
She didn’t seem to notice the nearly full plates on the table or care.
We would not go back.
Lovely waitress and delicious food. The bus boys all sweet. Endless water refills on a night with 90 degree weather. Can’t wait to go back!
We came for lunch after a rooftop cocktail at Ace to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was hooooooooot outside but we had the best waiter/chef that really understands customer service!!!
He gave great suggestions and the 4 of us ate tapas style and just kept the food (and water) coming. We had reservations for weeks as it's the first time out and we had an exquisite lunch and celebration
I am a local and regular for months spending over $100 each visit almost weekly since tge pandemic began. I made a reservation clearly stating dogs were in the party. And yet the NEW manager who doesn’t know regulars, the culture and had his own biases was passive aggressively placing blame for a situation that should have been easily resolved. Moving us out of a high stimulus area would have been a great start - reliving us from the dogs being triggered and fellow patrons having to be annoyed. DTLA is a bust crazy place, without management that knows the area, and how to handle various clientele with effortless aplomb, and respond to situation rather than react with bias, Zinque will lose (and has lost) its neighborhood support. Aside from this new manager who clearly cannot cope and pivot, the staff at Zinque is superb and they are our dtla family.
First time, and won’t be the last! Had a wonderful time with my friends over drinks!
Server came to our table once.. he never came back once our food got delivered.
Food was good. Service could be better but everyone was courteous and friendly
Great all around!
This is cool happy hour spot from 4-7pm. The service is outstanding from all waiters I was very impressed. The food was decent I had the lasagna with a side salad a bit overcooked but flavored well. The Sangria was fantastic. Only negative I would say is a lot of homeless ppl panhandling were the outside seats were but it’s DTLA so it’s to be expected I would go back again.
We arrived to our reservation at 8:30 pm. The hostess pointed to a table that was located close to the sidewalk. We all understood that this whole pandemic has made things extremely uncomfortable for everyone. We asked if we could be seated elsewhere and were told that there would be a 15 to 30 minute wait. We were fine with that but then later found out that there had been people that have been over their time limit and in that case we had to wait. We all felt like they should have said something to the Customers sitting at the table and they should have been more than understanding of the situation, that there are other people waiting for tables. I do not blame the restaurant at all but I feel like they should have enforced the exceeding time limit more because we had a reservation at 8:30 and I feel like people should be more respectful of other peoples time... & realize that the world doesn’t revolve around them. The reason why I do not give it a five star is because I also feel like the young lady should have said something to the table and I felt like she did not care as much as she should have. At the moment I can’t say that I would recommend this to anyone because of the limited seating.. maybe I’ll give it another try once this whole pandemic is over. I’m sorry I feel like I’m being a Karen right now.
Amazing experience! Loved it
Loved it here. Super chill and great attentive service on the patio! Food was delish.
The food and drinks were great but the service was very delayed
The drinks man o man they were all horrible
Staff was very friendly, hard working, and attentive. Food and drinks were great. Very grateful they are open during the pandemic.
The mussels were a bit old. But everything else delicious. We had beef carpaccio and gruyere and mushroom flat bread. Yum. Good wine and beer. Nice staff
Loved the sangria. The steak frites were tasty. Friends got the quiche, yogurt and granola, and said it was all really Tasty. Definitely want to go back for dinner.
It was really nice being out in DTLA after being in lockdown and away from restaurant dining due to the C-Virus. I remembered that there was outside seating at Zinqué and brought family for al fresco/Happy Hour food and drinks.
Food and wine choices were both very fine as was the casual, accommodating service.
I will return again soon as I enjoy their take on French cuisine and wines.
Great food and cocktail. Server was helpful and friendly. This will become a regular spot!!
always great service + food.
