Zingari Ristorante is a San Francisco jazz-happy staple and 'Excellent Restaurant and Bar With Live Jazz' by SF Eater. There are two seatings for dining with live music: reserve at 6:00 or 9:00pm. Dining with Live Music requires a $15 ticket to Support Live Music and to reserve the table in the Piano Room. Tickets purchased for an experience are non-refundable.     The energy was so off and awkward, the parking garage is a block a way, and they don’t validate. Nothing about this place had a rooftop either.. or they would only allow you up there if you were staying at their hotel? Very disappointing! Way better options in the city.

    Zingari exists as a dining experience that could be so much more. Intimate space, obviously a talented kitchen staff and the possibility of fine dining experience. Alas, it carries on as a faded star. The food was creative, but lacked that extra "umph" to make it a memorable dining experience. The wait staff was attentive, but lacked the polish of a fine dining experience - a bit rough around the edges. The music that was played was not appropriate for the intimate setting and was too loud. Unless I knew that changes had been made, I doubt I would go back to Zingari.

    Went yesterday for an early Valentines dinner. The room was small so I was concerned about the live music, but it was actually a perfect noise level. The service was great, very attentive. The food was good, alittle over priced and there could be more of a food selection. Also there is no parking validation so that is an additional $40 which I was surprised about. Overall we had a nice experience.

    I have eaten at the restaurant on several occasions and my experience had always been good; however, this last time it was very average. Our server was nice; however, did not know much about the wine selection. The room was extremely cold and when I notified the manager, nothing was done. Food was mediocre.

    It felt cold and creepy in the dining room that felt like a hallway. Could sometimes hear distant music from another area but mostly we ate in weird silence. Food was ok. Price was a too high for the quality of the food.

    Very average tasting and overpriced food. One waiter for the entire area. The jazz live music is what made the experience much better. Mandatory 20% tip which we didn’t know till we were paying. Service not at 20% level.

    In an empty restaurant for a late lunch, the ridiculous bill was almost $400 for two sprites, one IPA, one Diet Coke, two prosciutto/burrata appetizers and one spaghetti/meatball entree. Keep in mind, we were there for breakfast earlier in the morning for an almost $200 on the same day amongst two people. Criminality at its finest and the owners of this establishment should find themselves in a prison cell.

    Enjoyed a delicious meal with wonderful live jazz trio! Made for a very special birthday celebration! The piano room was cozy, the waiters didn’t rush us through our time, and the music was fantastic! What a find!

    Exclusive piano room. Sat next to the piano and listened to a jazz trio. Very attentive staff. Food was delicious. Loved the crustini. The fettuccine Zingari and the ossobuco were so good. The chocolate mousse for dessert was so creamy and chocolatey.

    Great place to listen Jazz live while having tasty food from appetizer to meal. We ended our evening with delicious desserts (bread pudding and tiramisu) and latte. The server was amazing and gave us room to relax and order at our pace. Highly recommend for date nights or father daughter outings. Live music with piano and saxophone was delightful yet not very noisy. Me and my daughter who enjoys Italian food had a great night out.

    The description on the website was totally off. I could not find how to reserve the piano room and called to confirm that. I left a voicemail and never heard back. Once we checked in they said the piano room is fully booked and we can hear music on the other side where we sit but that was not true. We went there for the jazz music but After all guests complained about no music where we sat, they put on some random music that did not bring New Year’s Eve vibe. The description also mentioned complementary parking which was not there because it got full!!! and the staff was not helpful at all in finding a place to park. The food was average with only a couple of vegetarian options. They gave us a complementary wine bottle to make up for the mistakes which tasted like grape juice. We ended up paying $50 per person more than the $125 mentioned on the website to pay for the bread!!!!, tax and etc. we also had to pay for the parking we ended up finding. Overall it was not at all what we expected to experience for the new years eve especially that we had guests visiting from the east coast… I do NOT recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

    My husband and I had a lovely NYE dinner. The champagne on arrival was Billecart-Salmon’s new label 1818. Very passable for a second label. We were seated in a quiet spot and very well taken care of. The selection of courses for each of the three courses was stellar. Hard to pick which to have truly. The burrata was great, meatballs good. The bacon wrapped veal was a generous piece done excellently rare. My husbands pappardelle was delicious. Both our desserts were excellent as well. For a NYE dinner (which are always a roll of the dice anywhere) this was great.

    Good menu. Our table was beside a very noisy group . Could barely ear one another . No other table was left. So loud that we were happy at the end of our meal. Osso bucco was good but lamb was tough and sides very ordinary.
