    The wait staff were pushy The bread was stale The pasta was soggy and tasteless The desert was overly rich, low quality ingredients and too bitter The prices were expensive especially given the quality. They add a 20% tip without asking and if you contest it they kick up a huge fuss The sparkling water was great

    The food at Zingari was excellent. Best pasta we have had for a long time. The tiramisu was very good as well. The service in the restaurant was warm and efficient. One black spot was that we booked because of the live jazz, but we were seated in a side room where you could not see and could barely hear the music. After the meal the staff said we could stay and have a drink in the band room but then as soon as we had ordered a drink they tried to move us back into the bar away from the music again, so they could seat other diners. This was a very bad experience. People need to know that if you’re coming for the music there is a good chance you won’t be able to hear it or see the band. Still, the food was great even if a bit pricey for what it was.

    The food, drinks, and service were absolutely phenomenal! It was a memorable special experience while we were visiting San Francisco. Everything was spectacularly delicious. I only give the ambiance lower stars because it was uncomfortably loud while the tables were full and my husband and I could barely hear each other or the waiter over other patrons.

    I wish they told me the bread was charged…that was inappropriate that they didnt tell us that which was misleading. Also, there’s substantial amount of surcharge even tho we ate one main fish and an appetizer.. so we had to pay double the price that we actually ate. Feels ripped off. the bread was tasty but we wouldnt pay over 5.5 dollars for the lump of bread…

    This was a nice place. Food was ok. Not the best but not the worst. Had a variety of rooms to choose from. They have a jazz room but you have to pay $15 pp and we weren't staying as we were attending a play that evening. The music sounded good though. I had the seared Ahi Tuna. Companion had Spaghetti pomodoro. Both were average. Ahi was a little dry. Had meatballs as an appetizer- they were ok. Had to pay for bread.

    Server was not good at all. Never had this slow/bad service at any restaurant. McDonald’s service is better than our servers service. We’ve been her 2 years ago and it was perfect, then we came back a year ago and it was ok. Today, we didn’t like the food and the service was bad. Our runner had WAY more personality than our actual server.

    Bar and happy hour definitely worth a try! Be warned the bar space is rather small. Food was excellent albeit a bit overpriced; service so so with some weird vibes I do not want to comment on in public. Wine list extremely overpriced for our taste - there is no need to make 400% on some wines! 100 or 200% should be enough, right? When we finished our bottle of a pricey Supertuscan I asked for extra two glasses of red, and waiter said we have our good table wine by the glass. Guess what they charged us $22 per glass for their "table red". Are we in California where the wine flow freely and is or should be reasonable. We were three weeks ago in Barcelona and that how the wine should be sold in restaurants! The we as consumers would drink two bottles not one...

    This restaurant was AMAZING!! They went above and beyond to make my celebration night perfect. The food was some of the best Italian food I have had in my life! The salmon was cooked perfectly with a great sauce and veggies while the other dish my family member got was a nice gluten free/ dairy free meal. They were accommodating with food allergies and the staff couldn’t have been nicer! I cannot recommend this place more!!! Their gelato was so good too. It is a must try. If I am ever back in San Francisco, I know I will be back! Thank you for a great meal, Zingari!

    The vegan tagliatelle is what keeps me coming back to this place. LOVE IT!! So far I've been one time for the jazz + dinner and one time for dinner alone. Both were good times.

    Overall wonderful service, and lovely jazz band experience. Most the appetizers, main courses and drinks were presented well and tasty, however, the lamb chop dishes (we ordered two) were well over cooked based on our request of medium to rare with emphasis on more on the rare side. Otherwise, the quaint ambiance and pleasant waitstaff will make for a future visit.

    Fig crostini was excellent! I wish I had tried more appetizers, as that was the best part of the meal. This place is great for a low key romantic meal if you sit in the jazz room. Probably best for tourists.

    Wonderfully intimate. Attentive service is low key and thoughtful. The food is uniquely flavorful, and the music makes me want to stay forever. A great place to come back to again and again.

    Having the live jazz performance while you dine was such a nice touch. The food was delicious. I had the bread pudding for dessert which was SO GOOD. My server was Alex and he was very attentive, helpful, and professional.

    Food and service was excellent. Jazz was in another room and could not be heard. We will go back, but request nearer to the musicians. We enjoyed the octopus carpaccio; pesto gnocchi: salmon; wild boar and shrimp-lobster ravioli. Finally, excellent tiramisu! Enjoy this foodie gem!
