About Zinc Wine Bar & Bistro
Zinc is a lively three level bistro in Historic Nob Hill. Featuring an open, urban ambiance, Zinc offers casual fine dining on the main level and the loft mezzanine. For those looking for an exciting show, the exhibition bar offers seats right along the open kitchen. The menu focuses on high quality - yet affordable - American bistro fare and utilizes seasonal ingredients, many of which are sourced from local farmers. The Cellar Bar offers the same extensive wine list and premium cocktails as the upstairs, but in a more intimate lounge atmosphere with a lighter menu. The Cellar also showcases live music on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights. Visit www.zincabq.com for menus, pictures, and upcoming events!

Zinc Wine Bar & Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We were disappointed in the quality of the entre. I had salmon and my wife had chicken. The small serving of salmon was over mashed potatoes (not very creative), and the chicken was tough. A table or four behind us was loud and over disruptive. This was compounded by the addition of one additional diner, showing little consideration of other diners in the area. This is a *+ price, but a *- quality. This is our first visit where we were disappointed.
We went on a slow day, so there were only three tables full and the huge space felt bare and daunting. I ordered the tasting menu. I also ordered a margarita that came out way too sour. The duck egg roll was very promising but ended up disappointing. Where the roll dough should have been crispy it was actually very soggy. The duck inside it was good though, and the sauces were good also.
My second was excellent, scallops were cooked well and the shrimp fritters were crunchy and freshly fried, mushrooms and sauce were really flavorful. Some misses but overall good food.
Date night dinner before show at Popejoy (Zinc offers discounts for dinner before shows.) We both ordered from the three course meal menu. The salad was creative and flavorful. The duck was seasoned very nicely. The beef tenderloin was very tasty. Creative desserts! The server was attentive and knowledgeable when selecting the wine. I would have preferred a table on the second level where there was less traffic and the tables were set nicer. But the evening was nice and didn't break the bank!
I've been to this restaurant before, but my husband and I enjoyed it above and beyond our times previously. The meals were prepared beautifully. The poached salmon was delicious. My scallops were wonderful. I love the fact you leave the water on the table!!
Zinc continues to be one of our favorite kitchens/restaurants in town and has been a favorite of mine since its inception over a decade ago. It's fancy but not pretentious, and the food is always quite good. The tasting menu is the way to go (try the lamb and the chocolate pretzel cheesecake), and the wine list is distinctive.
Really appreciated that the tables were spaced nicely so that we could have our own conversation without having to listen to the adjoining tables. It got a bit noisier as it filled up but it was still possible to talk and be heard (unlike NYC for instance). The food once again was very good, and creative. The wine list was extensive and well priced. Love the ambiance and the old wooden bar.
Great place to have a nice dinner. Chef Chris had some nice seasonal items and the peach, raspberry pie was delicious. Our service was excellent.
If you are concerned about the ART project, just use Lomas and turn on Girard and then take one of the side streets to Richmond and park. It was a peace of cake.
Arrived to Sunday brunch and was greeted and seated right away. Was attended to regarding beverages right away. The live entertainment is very good but maybe a bit above perfect volume because it seemed other patrons were competing with it. The noise level was a bit excessive, but it was mostly because of a single large party which had multiple conversations going on at any one time. They were obviously enjoying themselves for a special occasion so understandable. I was with my family, two teenagers and wife celebrating her 50ish birthday. We started with an apple fritter, which was yummy! Far better than expected. The teenage daughter liked her crepes but I think she forgot how sweet they can be. The teenage son liked the waffle but also commented how sweet it was. Duh, both items were in the section of the menu which contained the word "sweet"! I had the caprese omelette, without tobasco! I always have tobasco with eggs, except this time. It was delicious, but the tomatoes were...well...like tomatoes these days. The coffee was bold, very good and hit the spot. Wife had a salmon and seafood benedict, which was surprising for her to order, but also well prepared and delicious. The service was a bit sketchy, but understandable regarding the large party. They made it good with a selection of truffles in the end, but we were in no hurry anyway. We will return, as long as they keep their prices as reasonable as they are.
