We really enjoyed our visit to Zima, good food, cocktails and vodka!
Friendly staff, very nice atmosphere and music is always bringing you to a smile.
Nice and cosy Russian Restaurant, with Russian music and decor with a hint of hip. Solyanka soup and pelmeni are amazing. Pelmeni is one of my favourite dishes, I eat a lot of home made so I arrived quite critical, but I was very impressed. It`s on the pricey side but I will definitely go back! Amazing food.
Service not that good, main dish have to wait around 45min.
Good atmosphere, nice food, a little pricey but fair value.
Had a great meal for a good price at Zima! The food was absolutely delicious, and we especially enjoyed the flavor infused vodka. Highly recommend - I will definitely be back!
Greeted straightaway, nice view of the whole restaurant and the vodka was fantastic! The food came out hot and was absolutely lovely, I would recommend this place. However, for next time I will need to learn more russian to interact properly with the rest of the staff.
Great menu! I highly recommend the caviar, blinis and sour cream to start paired with horseradish vodka. The borscht and pelmeni is outstanding, the food is very authentic. Definitely go with the vodka board. Highly recommended!
Excellent service, good menu choices and no problem advising on gluten free options. Only downside being no gluten free desserts.
Otherwise an excellent venue giving good value for money.
A very nice Russian restaurant with authentic - I think - offerings, great infused vodkas and enthusiastic, friendly staff. We will def go back.
Fantastic russian tapas place!
Amazing as usual, my fourth time there. It's always a great place to bring new friends who've never tried Russian food and surprise them! Delicious food, lovely attentive staff who know the menu inside out and make great recommendations for first-time visitors to the restaurant, and a lovely ambiance. Hope to be back very soon.
Very pleasant experience. Really enjoyed the food, the staff and the vodka! A gem of a place - visit if you can.
Great small restaurant serving good authentic Russian food
The Siberian Ossetra Caviar was good value
Could not fault any of the food
The flavoured Vodkas were excellent especially the horseradish one
Very nice russian food, perfect place to meet with friends, very good service - very client oriented.
Second time here, cute little place with authentic dishes. Lovely staff who are always really helpful with suggestions.
Zima has a nice intimate feel while being quite buzzy with Russian music playing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very tasty. As this was the first time we had dined here, I was a bit surprised by the portion sizes, although it does state it is Russian street food, I did not realise that the main plates would be quite so small. However the price does reflect this. I would say the menu is more for a light meal in the same way that tapas would be considered.
Love it. . . . . . we try to go every time that we are in London and always enjoy the food , the atmosphere and the lovely friendly staff. Having been to Russia, this really does recapture our amazing time there. Our favourite place to eat.
Zima is a very fine restaurant with simple ingredients that really packs a punch. The chicken noodle soup was fantastic and perfect for a cold Sunday evening, next time I would love to try the fish soup. For mains my wife and I had the sturgeon and beef and venison dumplings, absolutely delicious. My only draw back was that the restaurant where we were seated was a little cold but all in all the food here at Zima is very very good.
Best restaurant in Soho! The food, the atmosphere and the decor was very nostalgic and it made the experience amazing. Everything tastes just like homemade - even better! Love the variety of vodkas, I recommend horseradish vodka with tomato juice. Our waitress was super lovely and made sure we were looked after. We will be coming back! x
Nice food and ambiance!
Great restaurant, good ambiance, friendly service, although the waitress we had couldn't really talk us through options or recommend what to have, so we had to do a bit of guess work. Also thought the 12.5% service charge was too much, I was told that's standard service charge rather flippantly, which it of course isn't. Saying all of this, I have recommended it and would absolutely go back again. I think I had the best cocktail I've ever had in my life there, which had beetroot in it! Was lovely.
Food was great and the staff is attentive and friendly but the overall impression was ruined by the very delayed service. We waited for the mains for almost an hour. After that you just want to leave as soon as possible.
Great as always
Very pleasant overall, will come back. We had a quick pre theatre dinner and no complaints. Friendly and quick service, yummy dishes (mind though I am longing-for-Russian-food Russian!), picked cabbage and honeycake are to die for. Vinegret was creative. Pelmeni are pelmeni everywhere and borsch was good. Portions are small as noted in every review, so don't go if you are too hungry or beware. We left satisfied and not too stuffed which is healthy! :)
Great service, stunning decor and nice food. I was with a Russian person: she said it felt like home !
My Russian friends recommended this and my Russian date told me the cooking is authentic and excellent. I certainly enjoyed everything. Staff seem to have pride in the place and treat customers with friendship. Expensive evening out but that was our decision based on what we ordered. Could not stop ourselves. Had a great time.
This is the first time I tried Russian food and it was surprisingly good! My favourite is the dumpling with sour cream and the buckwheat. Having said that the service was not that great as one of the servers tend to forgot things i.e. brought the wrong order & forgot to give us plates. But overall it was good and I'll probably come back again.
Good take on Russian food. Authentic, just as I rememebr it
We wanted to try something different and came to this lovely Russian restaurant. We were made very welcome upon arrival and the food was explained to us. We enjoyed the food and sharing the platter with friends. Great place to meet up after work and drinks
Waitress didn't know anything about the menu
Probably the best Russian food in London! Great infusions!
A great place to try inventive Russian dishes. The food was tasty and the service was attentive. There are also a good selection of vodkas to try. We were a bit confused by the ‘tapas’ explanation - we were expecting dishes to all come out but instead had set courses. The stroganoff also came out cold. The waitress was attentive and was open to discuss food allergies. A decent place in Soho to try something new.
Good food options, great russian beer. Lovely service, friendly staff.
Food was good but felt very thirsty after. The sauce for the dishes tasted the same. However, starter was very good and lamb tongue was quite unique.
At the day the waitress who hosted us was incredibly professional and helpful for making a right choice
Can't get enough of the dumplings. The Stroganoff is also very good.
Good choice of different sounding dishes on the menu, so you can compose quite a varied meal. Nice arty decor. Right next to Ronnie Scotts
Great food and fabulous service. We'll be back again.
Food was really fresh and authentic russian dishes. I liked it very much. It is small and casual.
