Zia's Trattoria Edison Park
Zia's service and brunch was outstanding. The tent kept us warm and we didn't need to wear our coats.
This was my second time at Zias, first time had the Veal and loved it. This time the veal was different; dry meat flavorless. The rest of my party loved their dishes, but I was disappointed.
Great food and service as always. Only a 3 for ambiance since we were in a tent due to covid but we didn't mind at all..... high noise level but that's part of zias we like too.... a fun environment.
Love Zia's! Can't wait for things to reopen for indoor dining. Fingers crossed that happens soon!
Zia has always had an outstanding & amazing menu and the food is exceptional, that’s why we keep coming back! Having the outside seating with Friday / Saturday’s band has been terrific! Hopefully we get another warm weather weekend in Chicago! We drive from LF, just to enjoy the food and ambience! SV
Great food and great service!!
My wife and I had a nice dinner at Zias, service was very good, food very good, very nice evening. They are set up for social distancing.
Zia’s is one of my favorite places to
The pasta is pheno
It had been awhile since we had been to Zia's - the food was terrific and the service was great. So glad to see them surviving these trying times. We will return soon.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our first dinner at Zia Trattoria. After reading several positive reviews that complimented the decor and welcoming atmosphere, I made a point to compliment the owner (Joe). I was a bit surprised at his indifferent response. Not once did he come back to ask how dinner was or to say thank you. So, while I give high marks on our meal, I can’t say the same for the welcoming efforts of the owner.
Zia’s food & ambiance is GREAT!
We've been coming to Zia's for years -- it's our go-to for Italian and we've recommended it to many people. This was our first visit since the pandemic. We sat outside. Food was fine, though my veal caluzza (which I've had a few times before) was a little off -- over salted and acidic. Service was fine.
My main issue was inside -- at least 2 staff members weren't wearing masks at all and there were five people at the bar, none of whom were wearing masks. I mentioned this to the hostess and she said "I know!" Not a good look. We won't be going back anytime soon.
Always on point!! Loving this neighborhood gem! Great food, even better service!
Lamb shank is back on the fall menu...it's to die for! Everyone loved their food and great service.
We had a party of 6 for a significant birthday. Server did not know about $5 wine specials when asked (said there was none). Although we all selected from the restaurant week special, there was no birthday dessert or mention of the birthday (it was noted on our reservation). So, nice dinner, but nothing special.
For taking over a street to provide safe dining. It was a great experience!
All our food was great .Party of 4 . Something went wrong with our order in the kitchen [ We were not able to find out exactly what ] We waited a long time for our appetizer but after that all went well and the food was good .We will go back
Excellent service! The outside seating on the street was really nice!! Food was very good! I’d definitely recommend!!
Bartender made mistakes didn't offer to redo them. The fried calamari way over done an had no flavor sent it back. I had zuppa de pecse low quality seafood drowning in sauce flavor was ok.
We sat outside and were pleasantly warm! The patio heaters provided the perfect amount of heat with the cooler temps.
Best service and unbelievable food. These people know how to make everything delicious !
Attentive staff, great food as always, great setup outside. Plenty of space and great size round tables. Thank you Zia’s.
We booked the table and confirmed it even by phone that we want outside however hostess was definitely not aware of the booking. Asked us again if the table was outside or inside. It felt like we walked in. We got water and bread very quickly but waited for a server quite a while - looked like there was not enough waiters working. Table was dirty and didn’t have a table cloth - only some of tables had. It was very dark and we couldn’t really see the food. Atmosphere outside was wonderful and food was delicious. Overall was a good experience but definitely some things could be improved.
Excellent food, service and ambiance with live music played on weekends.
Great service and delicious food and cocktails. Reduced menu due to Covid reopening.
Great meal and attentive service. Specials were amazing!
Awesome food - one of the best restaurants in Chicago area!
Excellent service and good food that seems a bit pricier than other local Italian places
Great consistent food ...been going there for over 15 years. The live music was awesome!
Food is always outstanding at Zia’s.
Our daughter was going off to college
Service ... kinda slow
Had an outdoor table which was nice as the evening was delightful after a rain shower earlier.
Live music was playing just across from us s part of a cooperative agreement with some of the restaurants nearby. The music from Zias wall mount speakers was drowning out the live music until we asked for it to be turned off. We were seated at 6:15. We ordered wine and an appetizer shortly after being seated. We then ordered our entree’s. It took more than 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Waiter blamed it on “everyone coming at once” for the evening.
Wonderful overall experiences
Everything was great as usual! Food was great and all care was spent on cleanliness.
The restaurant is outstanding!! Great place to enjoy great food, great ambiance & great staff!!
Awesome as usual!
The food is always middle of the road, you know what you are goi g to get if you have been there a time or two.
We have eaten at Zia’s many times, and some friends wanted to try it since they had never been before. Very disappointed in the quality of food and service. For me, I ordered lemon chicken with capers. It was honestly flavorless and maybe 3 capers on the entire dish. My hubby ordered pasta with crumbled sausage and they forgot the sausage. The waiter blamed the error on the face masks they have to wear and the kitchen misunderstood ‘easy garlic’ for ‘no sausage’. If that were the case, he would have just ordered pasta, it made zero sense. They eventually brought a side of crumbled sausage that was slightly burnt in taste.
Bummed because it used to be a good go-to neighborhood restaurant. Now there are just too many other options to spend our money at. Not sure what changed, but it’s the same Zia’s that’s for sure.
