Zia's Trattoria Edison Park
Too loud, slow service. Our table was not given bread, which was a disappointment, especially given the long wait (an hour) for food.
Great food and service . Our server Michael, was extraordinary. Been here several times and have never been disappointed.
Food is always great! A bit noisy, hard to hear at times!
The PEI mussels were the best I ever had. My only complaint was the tables are too close together. I was bumped throughout dinner and my friend spilled the next tables water trying to get up from the wall seat. She turned around and her purse knocked over the water glass.
Fabulous service and good!
Great dinner, great service, was cold the whole time.
A very nice Valentines dinner. Pasta was excellent and the complimentary Champagne and Dipped Strawberries were a great touch.
We love Zia’s, have been there many times. The food is as good as you’ll get in Chicago for Italian cuisine. Atmosphere is fantastic and the staff is phenomenal, impeccable service. Great price for the food as well.
Took my team from work here. Many are from out of town, and they thought it was some of the best italian they have had in a very long time. They were wowed by the portions, loved the cocktails and overall, it was a great night. I am a neighborhood girl, so I knew that Zia's would hit all of the marks. You didn't disappoint. Thank you Zias!
Had great appetizers - calamari and brushetta. Ravioli, fish, bolognese pasta as the main dish were all good. good portion sizes. Also had dessert which was delicious, wasnt rushed to get up from the table. Would recommend for any occasion
Service was excellent, food was excellent, friend from San Francisco loved it
Great place for lunch, nice variety on the menu and very good service!
Our server, Frank was great!
Great service. Interesting menu - not your run of the mill Italian faire. Food was excellent.
Awesome as always. Segundo is the best!
Best food and fantastic service
Zia's is a lovely neighborhood spot. Great Italian food and half priced bottles of wine on Sunday.
Very loud restaurant but overall very good food. Butternut squash ravioli is one of the best!
Was crowded, but it was NYE, so well expected. Great service, would definitely go back.
Had a great server who was attentive and sympathetic to our having to sit next to a loud obnoxious party. We started with fried calamari which was nicely done and tender. Whitefish special ok but a tasteless and greasy. The accompanying orzo had no flavor. The braciole was tasty but should have been a roll rather that chopped meat on my plate. The accompanying risotto was bland. My other guest had the chicken limone was good and the side of potatoes was also good. We shared a lemon cake and creme brûlée as dessert. The creme brûlée was very good and the best of the two
The tables were tightly squeezed but we were away of that issue prior to arriving. Happy to have had free valet parking. Neighborhood parking is hard to find on a busy night
I may try again on a non holiday night to give this restaurant another try.
It was New Year’s Eve so it was a lively crowd.
We arrived a few minutes early and our reservation was honored at the time of arrival. I had asked Open Table for a quiet corner if there was one and we were indeed put into a quieter corner with a wall behind and on one side of us and that was great. The only downside that I thought was the à la carte Caesar salad. Yes it was New Year’s Eve so taking that into consideration, I offer the following. We ordered a Caesar salad which was priced at $7.50. I asked the server if this was a large enough salad to split and was told yes they could do that. And they did. However the two dishes of salad were barely covered by the salad. Even if both plates were combined there likely was not $.75 worth of product on the plate. I would never serve a salad on a flat plate with white plate showing through the lettuce. Other than that everything was fine we were not rushed and the food was good. Other than the split salad, we had no complaints and enjoyed Ourselves and the bill was certainly within reason. Service was excellent.
I would recommend Zia's Trattoria in Edison Park. They have a good menu all the time. Their lemon cake is also delicious. The service is great.
Great service & food was delicious
Decent restaurant. Mussels appetizer very good, entrees ok. We were extremely cramped at our table and couldn’t leave when finished without bothering the couple next to us to have to get out of his chair and let us slide thru. For similar price, I would recommend either nonno pino or cafe touche, which are right down the street, as better dining experience
We have been going to Zia’s for 22 yrs and everything has been great. Good food, good service!
I love this place. The food is delicious. We go there often to eat. We decided to try it for Christmas Eve, even though they were very busy. The food was great our server was wonderful and it was a great time.
The service and ambiance were top notch, server was attentive and the atmosphere was fun and lively. Food was not edible, there were 4 adults in our party, we all had the same exact comment, ton of salt in all our dishes. Very disappointed, will not be returning. Also the valet lost our car keys as well as the second couples that was in our party, not a very good night overall.
Always a great and wonderful dinner experience with good food and libation! Service was excellent!!! Alas, the entrees were not hot and a little disappointing as they normally never miss! Will still go back as they are a wonderful neighborhood place for food!!!
Dining at 4:30PM has several advantages: one is the lower level of background noise. That aside, I would dine at Zia's at any time due to their excellent Italian entrée choices, courteous and attentive staff , generous portions and value.
Great lunch! Next time I will ask for salad dressing on the side - the salad was drenched - I couldn’t eat it. It did not affect the rest of the meal, however, which was excellent!
Friendly staff and excellent service. Food was tasty and ambience was lovely.
Food was very good and manager was very nice and friendly
Zia's is one of our absolute favorite spots in the area! The atmosphere is always fun and friendly. This is definitely a well-known neighborhood favorite. People gather from near and from far with friends and family to dine and socialize at this perfect place! The food is outstanding and the service is always impeccable. You'll feel right at home at Zia's with a full heart and a full belly! Can not recommend this place enough.
We were celebrating our anniversary. Overall was a good experience my husband ordered stuffed chicken breast was over cooked but everything else was yummy. They even gave us a Tiramisu with a candle in it. Decorated beautiful for the holidays
This hidden gem is a must 'go to'!! The food is impeccable! And the service above great! thank you for making our long drive from Schaumburg worth it!
It was good, lasagna never disappoints server was friendly, nice decor
Great food and knowledgeable staff. They are a wonderful team of people working there.
Zias is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. You can always get a great meal there at a reasonable price. Staff is outstanding
Everything was delicious. Great energetic atmosphere and great service.
The experience was great. My only criticism was the saltiness of the food. Honestly, I could barely get through it.
