Zia's Lago Vista
This was a birthday celebration for a party of 10.
We all had a great time. Our server was amazing. The food and bottomless is such a great price.
Service was very slow and not very attentive. I did not care for my pasta dish- the penne with meat sauce- one of the signature dishes. Portions of it were very cold. I ate about half of it. Not sure if my friend liked her meatball salad. She didn’t eat much either. Server never came back to ask how we were doing. We didn’t see him much and when we did it’s because I called him over. It was a bit odd. We even had to gosh him down give the bill and no one was left in the restaurant but us. I guess he didn’t want to disturb us???
Great food for casual brunch. Love the variety of items and endless Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar.
Good food and great service
Great spot for a brunch with friends or date night. I will be back to try their dinner menu given everything we tried for brunch was excellent! Added bonus of bottomless mimosas when you order an entree.
If I read “you only have 2 hours to be here for brunch” on one more spot I was going to get up and leave. It was everywhere, the reservation, the menu, the specials menu, everywhere I looked. So uninviting.
Delicious and affordable.
We got a call a day ahead of time to see if we wanted to participate in a special event they were having the night of our reservation. Although we did not participate I appreciated the call and the service.
Our waitress seemed annoyed although tables around us were being served quite well
Everyone here is great. Very accommodating to our large group with short notice. Food is delicious, and don’t forget to sample all the desserts!
Was great! The service was good and they brought out a special treat for my birthday :)
Food was cold and service wasn’t as attentive as before. I’m a little disappointed
I’ve been there a couple time. Bottomless brunch is good. Dinner this time was not great. Definitely pass on the pasta pesciatore.
Enjoyed Sunday Brunch outside on a beautiful day!!
Food and Service was outstanding!!
I expected the food to be much better. Service and ambiance outstanding.
It’s always a great evening when we’re at Zia’s. From drinks at the bar through dinner we’re never disappointed. Love the menu selections, along with the specials. Lucky to have Zia’s in the neighborhood!!
Pasta (ravioli) was overcooked and had a mushy texture. Sauce tasted like "Spaghetti-O"s sauce. I had been to Zia's a while back and decided to try it again. The server gave us our menus, did not return, and different server came about 15 minutes later and asked if we would like a drink and took our order. Entree was served about 15-20 minutes after the salad?? Not sure what the mix up was, but don't think we will return. The Zia's in Edison Park is much better.
Brittany was such a great server! Definitely will come back soon.
Great meal and great service. Also like the fact that they have a parking lot.
It was delicious. Our server gave us her recommendations. It took a little while for our food to come, worth the wait and our server kept us informed. Will be back. We had leftovers which was great.
Yummy delicious - great outdoor seating and we loved our server (Chris I think?) - older thin Italian gentleman. Very personable, friendly and funny.
Went to Zia’s for the first time in about 2 years, and unfortunately, it isn’t the place I once knew. Plenty of problems during brunch with my cousins from out of town.
First, we were given a server in training and her trainer. They very sparingly checked on our table. It took about 15 min just to get our drink orders in.
Then, when the food came, half of the table’s food was served lukewarm. My cousins would have complained if either the trainer or the trainee had come around to us. When we did manage to flag her down, my girlfriend asked for toast that was supposed to come with her dish. Instead of taking care of it, she just forgot about it. My girlfriend never even got an explanation about the mishap. The meal itself was terrible.
When the bill came, we found that we were charged an extra mimosa by the trainee. It was eventually corrected. While many of these issues could be filed under “new job adjustments”, it would have been forgivable if the trainer had given the notion that he cared. He was very hands-off, almost a day off for him.
Zia’s used to be a recommended brunch spot from me, but I won’t be going back again after the embarrassing brunch my family and I had.
A beautiful evening to sit outside and celebrate a birthday. Half price bottles of wine (Tuesday) and delicious food. Even a candle on the dessert.
Great place for dinner but this visit was for brunch and it was amazing!
The brunch is SOOO good! And the bottomless mimosas really are bottomless (for 2 hours). Our server Brittany (I think) was awesome and gave great suggestions on what to order. We will definitely be back!
Have been here a couple times and always liked. Food is very good, but we came a little late for brunch time and fed into dinner service which they close for so got a little shortened. Overall a good time, but there was a big soccer game, so a little loud, but still recommend.
It was Memorial Day weekend and I feel that the waiter was extremely busy/the restaurant was short-staffed. The food was delicious as always and we’ll be back.
Worst restaurant experience and service I’ve ever came across. Starting from the beginning— I called ahead to ensure I had two tables for a party of 18 people for my 26th birthday. Came to the restaurant and was told we cannot be seated until the majority of our party showed up (10 people arrived at the restaurant by now)... then we’re seated with two tables next to each other but was told there is absolutely NO WAY to combine the tables, although the back of the restaurant was completely EMPTY. It took over an hour for our waitress to take our food order then over an hour to get our checks to pay for our dinner. I will never recommend this restaurant to any loved ones. Only if I would want them to be cheated and be overcharged for their dinner. We were charged for a whole bottle of rose and drinks we did not order.... I’m very disappointed.
Zia's was wonderful! The food and service was nothing less than excellent. Sitting outside was perfect; the ambiance was not only beautiful but so much fun.
Don’t let my lower rating for ambiance fool you. The outdoor seating in the summertime is outstanding. If you’re sat inside though it’s extremely loud and people end up talking over each other.
This is one of the best places in town for brunch and unlimited mimosas! The food is great and plenty of choices!
Always a great time at Zia’s! Great food & customer service!
Our server was horrible. No sense of urgency. We waited 20 mins to order. The quality of the food was horrible. However, it didn’t taste as bad as it looked.
Carlos was a WONDERFUL server. Even made me something off the menu.
We went to Zia’s for my son’s 21st birthday, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Excellent food and service. $5 valet parking is a HUGE bonus, and we will definitely visit again.
Please add more kid friendly items to the menu especially for brunch. Plain pancakes... yogurt, kid friendly egg dishes etc.
also, ramping up servers on busy brunch days.
The service was slow and did not attend us in a timely matter, the waiter attended to other tables when we got there before them?
Food was outstanding. Service was terrific. Very comfortable setting. Will definitely be back.
Average food. Not as described in menu. Quick but average service
