Located on the sixth floor of the brand new Gateway Building on the South Side of Bethlehem, Zest offers New American fare with spectacular 180 degree views of Bethlehem. Features of the restaurant include a partially open kitchen design, an open air balcony, two completely private dining rooms, an open concept bar seating 22 guests, a huge bar area with comfortable banquette and high top seating, and a corner lounge with the best views in the space.
Service very slow. Had to ask for silverware. Took 15 minutes for our drink order. Food was average.
Business meeting for three at outside table for lunch. Beautiful day, good food, matchless view. Our visitor was impressed and looks forward to visiting Zest again.
Love 3501 and Zest did not disappoint
First time here! The dinner was excellent!
Gave complimentary champagne for our anniversary
The food was good; but not up to par with Grille 3501. The restaurant patrons were interesting and we thought maybe it turned into a nightclub Lon Friday nights with the way some were dressed. It was also empty for a Friday at 8-9:30 pm, so either people are on vacation (it’s July) or maybe the “hype” has died down a bit. I would go back again; but not in a rush either. Great views of Bethlehem by the way!
Drinks were outstanding. Appetizers & soups were excellent.
Rachael the server was wonderful. Great personality- always smiling and engaging. She made the experience enjoyable.
Entrees not so good. Scallops were cold. Lobster was very small for the price and not too tasty.
So next time if go we will just go for drinks & appetizers.
We sat at a high top table overlooking the bridge. It really was a lovely view and atmosphere. Cocktails were refreshing. Food was excellent. We had lamb chops, foie gras, rabbit agnolotti, lobster risotto, fried chicken dumplings, crab and mango spring rolls, and the roasted shrimp appetizers. It was hard deciding on which to get so we got a variety, well actually most of them, and the four of us shared. There was plenty to share. For entrees, sea scallops and short ribs. Service was friendly and attentive. We look forward to returning soon.
Truly creative and excellent entrees. Great service. A fine view.
Weekend evenings are frenetic, reservations a must, but well worth it.
Had a wonderful time. Food was excellent.
This is definitely a drink and appetizer only restaurant
Overall awsome place.
Meh. It's all about the view at Zest. Drinks were good. Bar is cool. Outdoor patio is great. Food is just okay. Our food took a VERY long time to get to our table. Service as friendly but slow. Go for drinks and the view and eat somewhere else.
Appetizers were very good (egg roll , avocado ) .salad was very good . Pork chop 2(entrees a bit over done , and flavors didn’t quite meld together . Service (Ashley was very attentive and engaging but resining in serving good and pouring wine would make her great . Ex . We had a bottleof wine and never refilled us but again she was very good , just additional training needed . Overall very nice experience
We had a nice lunch. The food was good, although it seemed to take a long time to arrive. The restaurant was bright and nicely decorated, and we were able to talk easily without ambient noise interference.
Delicious food in a casual, yet unique atmosphere with a panoramic rooftop view of Bethlehem.
The vegetarian option turned out to be vegan and I was over the moon. View was obviously amazing, but service was top notch and food was outstanding. Recommended the cold brussel salad and fried cauliflower for sure!
The lobster tails were delicious so sweet! Lamb chop appetizer was excellent! The view is spectacular even when a storm is coming.
Food was excellent. We celebrated our son and daughter in law’s third wedding anniversary. They gave us a glass of Prosecco. We shared appetizers. They split a large salad for us. I had the grouper. It was prepared perfectly. Short ribs, scallops and tuna all looked great too. We will be back. In particular, Greer went out of her way to make sure the whole evening was special.
Excellent and diverse menu. Service a little slow perhaps because it was Friday and they were busy. Some what noisy. Will sit on the deck next time. Over all excellent experience. We are local and will return.
Nice view. Service is lacking. Food was dry and bland. Nice view though!
Food was excellent our waitress was outstanding. She was great
Our waitress was amazing and made the entire experience worth it. Although we had an issue with our entree, the appetizer was delicious. The drinks are a bit on the stronger side which means you are getting your money’s worth! Would recommend for a night of drinks and apps but not another date night experience.
Our meal was excellent. Service was great. The restaurant comped for 2 hours of parking in the garage. Crepe Brûlée is my favorite dessert and theirs is one of the best.
After my first visit, I would place Zest among the half dozen best restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. The menu and quality of the food and preparation make it so. The dishes we ordered showed originality and care in getting everything just right. The sole negative was what was to my ears the insipid pop soundtrack that played over the speakers.
Food was outstanding
I had the duck I asked for it blackened
Overpriced and view is not worth the money
The food was good overall. The service started out OK and the server was very nice, but we waited a long time to get dessert menus, and then by the time he returned we decided we didn't want to wait any longer for dessert. We were going to order after dinner drinks too, so they lost out on a chuck of change. The bartenders got our drink orders wrong two times. When I pointed it out to the server, instead of just getting me a new drink he checked with the bartender. The bartender told him it was made correctly so I was stuck with it. This seems like a terrible way to do business. Although the food was quite good, I could not recommend this place.
The views were amazing . Loved the drinks and lobster risotto !
Great view but the lobster was very tiny and stuck in the shell. I've had larger shrimp. Duck was delicious but also a very small portion.
Service was poor- waited 15 mins before being asked if we wanted water; bread didn’t come out until entrees were nearly served. Food was ok, nothing unique. Very loud atmosphere- would not return
No Zest in the Avocado App nor the Potato Cakes.
Grilled Salad with Tuna v good.
Creme Brûlée. Excellent
Service v good.
Great views from almost everywhere in the restaurant. Our server was amazing! My husband and I each had the grilled green salad which was excellent. He had the filet which he really enjoyed and I had the lobster. The butter emulsion was very tasty and the lobster was sweet. It came with bok choy and a scallion Yukon cake which was bland. We topped dinner off with a coconut creme brûlée with pineapple and berries...delicious! We will definitely return.
Overall I thought the food was very bland. Did not have any “zest” or seasoning. Disappointed
Our waiter provided recommendations (of 3) on the appetizers, beverages, entree and dessert and he nailed it. Superb service, tasty food and wonderful atmosphere
While we enjoyed our meal and the service we received from Carol; there was a bit of initial disappointment. When we arrived, the couple before us did not have a reservation and were told that although the outdoor area was a forty minute wait, they could be seated inside immediately and were. We had a reservation and were told that our table was not ready. We had a drink at the bar and observed at least ten empty tables. We were finally seated about fifteen minutes after our reserved time. I did not understand the delay under the circumstances. The couple before us got a booth with a nice view while we were seated at a lower table with no view. Poor decision by the hostess staff in my opinion.
Excellent food and service with a wide variety on menu.
Very disorganized at the front...many people standing waiting for tables yet many tables were open and clear. We made a reservation and still had to wait 15 minutes (for a high-top) and there were 3 open. Also, there should be better signage in the parking garage -- at the very front, telling you where to park.
Nice place, good view of the Lehigh valley, nice dinning room. Very good service, good cocktails. Mediocre food offering, had scallops which were a little spongy and sandy also $28 for four scallops not a great value. Salad was wet would have been ok if it was rinsed and dry but no luck. Beef short ribs were actually good.
My advice go for the ambience and the cocktails and have an appetizer. Have dinner elsewhere.
Sea scallops cooked to perfection. Looking forward to going back.
