About Zero Zero
Zero Zero opened in 2010 inspired by Chef Bruce Hill’s dedication to farm driven ingredients, combined with his love for wood-fired pizzas that have been nicknamed “Calipolitan”. Michael Bauer of the San Francisco Chronicle named us the French Laundry of upscale pizza, and the readers of 7x7 Magazine voted us “Best Pizza in San Francisco”. In addition to pizza, our menu showcases housemade pastas, a variety of market-fresh appetizers, and artisan soft serve. We also have two big time bars with a selection of seasonal house cocktails, beers, and 12 wines on tap.

Zero Zero Ratings and Reviews
Excellent pizza and relatively fast service. While the pizza is fairly pricey ($18 for a Margarita), as a pizza lover that has sampled some of the best in New York, Italy and the Bay Area, I would rate it in the top three of all I have tried in the Bay Area.
Started with a negroni and hamachi appetizer, both very good. Then we shared a salad and a pizza, again very happy with the food. Service was top notch too. It was a little on the pricey side. They have a decent list of wines by the glass. My only complaint was how noisy and crowded it was, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back
The pizza at Zero Zero never disappoints. Even with new chefs coming through, the staples of their menu (arrancinis!) are always consistent. The special pizzas are creative and delicious, the staff is super warm and friendly, and the soft-serve build-your-own sundaes top off a meal perfectly.
Had dinner here Saturday night with our teenage kids a friend and her teenagers. Service was really solid. Pizza's were honestly really good and we had a great caesar salad. Not easy to please a bunch of teenagers - but everyone was happy and we got in and out on time. This place is always consistently good, and go to for our family.
I've been coming to Zero Zero since it opened. It used to be one of my favorite spots in SOMA. Over the last 2 years I have experienced the service level to deteriorate. On more than one occasion the hostess has been outright rude; the service has been slow and the servers have not been attentive at all. Not sure what's going on but there are too many other good options to keep coming back here.
The food was great. The service was unacceptably slow and inattentive, though friendly when it existed. Ordered drinks before meal, and first one didn't come to table until after salad was finished and main course was on table. Second drink didn't come to table until dinner was over and check was paid. The drinks were glasses of wine—nothing to mix!
I went for lunch, and I'm aware that the dinner scene might be very different.
The pizza is good, but sub-par. Tony's and Una Pizza Napolitana are way better.
The sauce that came with the arancini was very acidic, almost inedible.
Overall, a fair lunch but I'm most likely not going back.
We are from out of town, chose Zero Zero based on reviews, went there for a late dinner. We are a family with two young children and wanted a simple, decent meal. The food was acceptable but not great - certainly not as unique or extraordinary as some the reviews would lead you to believe. I have had better pizza in many places - usually for less money, sometimes for more. The choice of toppings is limited. Service was friendly enough but again, not out of this world. My advice is to keep looking.
Food was excellent, however it was expensive. Pizza was the best I've had in San Francisco - crust and sauce were excellent. I would recommend but check costs before you make a reservation. The pizza only serves 2 so for a family of 4 I ordered two pizzas and could have ordered 3 since they are small. However, quality was very good.
