Great place to have come to the neighborhood! Food is terrific and the service is even better!
Took a friend out for her Birthday. Food and service was excellent! Didn’t give 5 stars bc I wasn’t crazy about the mixed cocktails but the sashimi was off the hook and the selection amazing!
We had an amazing experience for our first visit with you guys! Sushi was incredible! We’ll definitely be back soon!
Our waiter for our table of six was very rude and not attentive at all. He was extremely slow to come to take the order and when after a long wait we asked him to come he dismissed us and said to wait a little while then he went slowly to each other table and took another 10 mins. The drink order was also slow and incorrect. The food came out quickly but was very average for the price. Would not recommend given the other options in DC.
Good food, even better service.
Aside from a shaky table, everything is great. The waiter was very attentive and friendly.
Very cute karaoke spot! We enjoyed the food, drinks, and fun!
The food and service was phenomenal. My new favorite sushi spot in the city! Can’t wait to go back.
Consistent good service and great sushi.
The experience was excellent from the food quality to the ambience and service at the. tables and door. i was satisfied and impressed.
best sushi in shaw! def take a friend and there's karaoke upstairs post dinner
I love sushi but haven't found many good sushi places in DC. Exception Nobu. Well now Zeppelin. Sorry I'm not willing to line up to get a seat at Sushi Taro.
Zeppelin is just the right mix of informal, classy, and very good sushi. They have a number of hot yakatori appetizers and some plates to share in addition to the sushi. I mainly get the sashimi which I enjoy a lot and a couple of rolls.
Great food, great atmosphere, and service. Definitely go. But be prepared to spend for good sushi.
Fun decor nice atmosphere.
Food is very tasty but when we think Izakaya food, bit pricy here.
This is not a place to go if you are expecting to hear people your party. It is way too loud with sub-standard service.
Omakase was good but not mind-blowing; tempura and shumai were okay. Friendly staff. Excellent and interesting cocktails. Cool decor.
Server was very unresponsive and never checked on us. We had to literally shoot to get his attention to get another drink. We were there over two hours and never got three of the dishes that we ordered. We ended up just getting our check and going somewhere else because we were starving at that point. Food we had was okay but the whole experience was bad and I would not go back!
Great place to hang with friends on the patio. The menu is perfect and tasty!
There was an interesting selection of fish but it all tasted bland.
The food is just average. The service was spotty, one server that I could see. We ordered three items, all three came out at the same time - my pet peeve. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to manage a kitchen line.
Fantastic service. Made us feel special on our anniversary. Food was the best part!
Good okonomiyaki, but at Tokyo prices. Actually a cheap dish in Japan. Sushi was average to good. Have a Japanese highball.
Very good and authentic Japanese fare. Great cocktails and great service from Matthew! Would absolutely return.
We loved our experience here. Food was excellent. Ambience terrific. Nisa was the most amazing, attentive waitress. We will always ask for her.
We had such a great time we definitely stayed longer then we thought. Sushi was delicious and our bartender/server Robert was so great!
Staff was friendly. Food, drinks, and service were all great. My girlfriend and I basically just had yakitori, and a few rounds of drinks. We will definitely be returning.
The food was decent and the service was great. However, the (awful) music was blasting at 7:30pm to the point where I could not hear myself think, not to mention have a conversation with the people at my table. It was also unbearably warm inside. When I asked the waiter to turn down the temperature he told me it was as low as it could get. The food was perfectly fine and enjoyable but not anywhere as amazing as the prices would suggest.
If you’re looking for a place for a romantic date night, look no further! Zeppelin ticks all of the boxes from the incredible food, to the attentive service, to the (real!) candlelit tables. If you’re looking to treat yourself, the omakase is something you absolutely must experience in your lifetime. The fish was prepared and plated so delicately, and the chef provided a range of options that you won’t get at just any sushi restaurant. Loved the entire experience and will definitely be back!
Their restaurant week is a rip off-it’s actually cheaper to order a la carte off the menu than it is to get the restaurant week “deal.” What a scam.
Bartenders were extremely friendly and the sushi was delicious and not priced too crazily! Fun date night or going out atmosphere. Feels fancy. Didn't love the chicken spring roll, but the sushi was on point!
Can’t get better sushi in DC.
Was simply amazing!!!!
We had to wait a long time for our table even though we had a reservation so we ended up sitting at the bar. However, the food and drinks were so good the wait was worth it.
Larry was a fantastic host. He guided us through the menu with ease and had fantastic knowledge regarding their sake list.
Fish quality was fresh.
Rolls were delicious.
10/10 will return.
The noise level was out of control!
Our waiter had to tell when talking to us, and we gave up trying to talk to each other soon after arriving.
The food was average and Overpriced.
The "glass" of Sancerre at $14 was small hardly a glass.
Great service and the food and drink offerings were amazing. Matthew the new server did an amazing job. Looking forward to returning for more!
The service here was incredible. Phillip was our server and bartender and he was beyond great. I told him early on that we were celebrating an anniversary and he took care of us the rest of the night!
Zeppelin was kind of disappointing. The sushi was fine but nothing special. The tempura was delicious and a good size. We were on the second floor. It was so hot, everyone was fanning themselves with menus. It was also very loud, which made for an uncomfortable dinner.
The food was delicious, I could taste that it was made of fresh quality ingredients. The service was very attentive and helpful. Good vegetarian options too!
Sushi was excellent and the karaoke was out of this world!
