Probably one of the best brunch spots i have ever been to.
A great location for some delicious fusion food. Our catch-up with family was great. The staff were delightful and we enjoyed every minute.
Love love love the crispy tofu entre. Have it every time. Thank you zhengo for consistent great food and service.
I've been to Zengo before and it was good. I went again this past Sunday and the food was TERRIBLE. I don't know what happened. The rice was hard on the sushi, the potatoes we received for one of the hashes were burnt and under cooked, the lobster grits consistency was like soup, the loosely corn bread was so dense, the "crema" on the sweet plantains was sour cream and there was way too much, the bacon fried rice had zero bacon, and the drinks were WAY too sweet. It tasted like straight mixer and no alcohol. I was only able to eat one thing and enjoy it and that was the chicken. Each course I kept thinking something has got to give and be good but I was wrong. We should've just left when we got the nasty sushi. It wasn't even crowded so I don't know what happened. It was a waste of $50 and I won't be returning.
Had a great time for my b-day
I just recently had brunch and had an amazing experience. Nicholas our server was fantastic! The staff was so accommodating and the restaurant is beautiful. Food and drinks were delicious!
I called saying I would be a few minutes late looking for parking. The restaurant told me no problem and advised me where to park for a nominal fee. Fantastic! The table was ready and we were seated once we walked in and the service was great. Highly recommended to my friends.
The food at Zengo is so good, but rather unpredictable. Some days it will be incredible and some cold salmon in a bento box. (I raved about it to my team and they were utterly disappointed getting cold food.) The service is almost always weird. You either get a salty waiter and the hostess is almost always frustrated. It makes me think management is poor. No standardization and customer service training is lacking. I would recommend it if you are not concerned if the food is cold or if you have to send it back. For business it's not ideal.
We heard about this restaurant while chatting in a bar. Only had a short time left in NYC. Very delicious menu. If you are going for lunch go hungry! You won’t be disappointed. As a restaurateur myself I have to admit the brunch was spot on. Kid friendly! Great as a date, family or party. Zengos is a must go to if you are in NYC!
Terible in all ways. Extremely Disappointing. I have never had to leave this type of review on Open Table ever and I am member for over 10 yrs now.
Read reviews online that this was a good place for an all you can eat/drink brunch. Food was mediocre at best, drinks were fine, service was good (our waiter picked certain things off the menu and brought them to the table, would have preferred if he ran them by us first). I don't plan to come back but it was not a bad experience, just a lot of money for decent food/drinks.
Zengo has a great brunch offering that lets you try most of the best food and drink on the menu. Would definitely recommend
Excellent lunch place
This was my second time dining at Zengo. The first time was for a friends birthday brunch, we were a large group (approx. 20 ppl). Food and service were great, so I came back for dinner with 4 friends. Unfortunately, the service was not great this time around. Could have been an off night, but it took so long for us to get our orders in for apps, dinner, drinks, dessert etc.
Love the place ! Latin music and small plates, unlimited mimosas! Lychee and guava mimosa a must!!!
Best value for brunch hands down! unlimited plates and drinks for $45! Nice Savory meals! Strong Drinks...Love it.
Out waiter was amazing
Bottomless brunch dishes are hit or miss some are incredible. Fun place for sure!
Not a great spot for lunch probably more of an evening place. They close at 2:30 so should not accept 1:30 reservations.
I went here on a double date for bottomless Sunday brunch. Food was awesome and all of the cocktails were delicious. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. One of my favorite spots in the city. Worth the train ride from NJ
Great brunch spot. Held my birthday brunch here for a group of 8 people. We did have some delay in getting seated but the service staff was accommodating and honored the 2 hour brunch limit. Food was awesome and drinks were done well. I will definitely be returning in the future.
Anthony was an amazing waiter! He made our first time at Zengo a great one. The food was really good and the unlimited plates just kept coming :)
Second time coming to brunch at this location. Food was awesome and service was great! Definitely one of my favorite bottomless brunches in the city.
Impolite waiter, low quality food
Went to Zengo with my fiance during our weekend trip to NYC. The food and service were both excellent. Creative menu, fresh ingredients, and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!
La carta de tequilas más impresiona te que he visto fuera de Mexico. Más de 450 opciones. La atención de primera y la comida creativa y muy bien servida.
Even though we had a reservation we were seated >30 minutes after our reservation time. The waitress seemed nice but also stressed. It felt as though she was trying her best but has a lot on her plate (no pun intended). She would bring a tray filled with drinks and then disappear for the next 15 minutes, which made ordering food difficult. If a friend really wanted to try out this place I would go, but I would not recommend it to others without caution. It felt as if we were begging for service and I don’t believe the price of their brunch is worth that.
Food was bad
I live around the corner from Zengo and therefore I pass it all the time, but I had never been there for food. This past Friday night, my roommate and I were looking for a local dinner place and after looking at the menu we figured we would give it a go. We walked out of there feeling like we found our new neighborhood spot.
As soon as we walked in, we were both blown away - Good music, tons of smiling faces, and the dishes we saw on the way to our table looked delicious. The seats were comfy and the table was clean. The cocktail menu was extensive and also was on a cool leather design, and the food menu was also perfect for the kinds of dishes we were looking for.
I ordered an old fashioned off the cocktail list and it was perfect. For food, we ended up splitting a bunch of dishes- We ordered chicken lettuce cups, a sushi roll, fried rice, and tuna tacos and everything was perfect and extremely reasonable.
I definitely plan on visiting again soon... tried to visit this Sunday for their bottomless brunch special but unfortunately they were completely booked!
Great ecclectic food menu.. drinks were really good and they have a really nice bar/lounge downstairs. Took my wife ot for her birthday and we loved the food.
I took my daughters, who are both college students, for NYC restaurant week and we ended up ordering off the regular menu. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly and helpful.
The food portions we're small but tasty and filling. Drinks were expensive but potent. Loved the decor and service was friendly.
Our party was for 15 people and I think the restaurant could not handle so many people at one time, as half of the food was either burnt or very cold. Appetizers were perfect though!
Amazing the food was on point drinks was just right
Great, fresh, quality food. Excellent attentive service. The portion sizes are not to big and not too small, but just perfect. I went for restaurant week, but would definitely consider going there on a regular basis.
I was there last week on a Thursday night with a bunch of my girlfriends. It was a birthday celebration of my friend so I was kind of hoping it better be good.
So lets start talking about the place first. So we walk in into this huge 3 level restaurant which is a rare sight in New York City. The place is brimming with people still doesn't seem to be crowded. The vibe, the music , decor ,everything was great.
Lets get to the food and cocktails now. We ordered the Zengo margarita which was really refreshing and slightly different from regular margarita must try if you are at Zengo.
Food we ordered a lot of food and everything tasted great.
The chicken pot stickers, veggie pot stickers were really good, shishito peppers were average, fried rice was amazing, the tofu entree was amazing don't remember what it's called, we also got the veggie tacos and roll. They also got a complimentary birthday dessert which was the Tres leches it was damn tasty.
Overall great experience at Zengo will visit again.
Perfect for a special occasion , date night or just a night out with friends.
The food was excellent and our server Anthony was outstanding also. Zengo is a personal favorite and never disappoints.
Never disappointed. Food is fantastic.
All great besides the Bibimbab, which was terrifible.
