A family business originally established in 1991, Zen Rendezvous was previously known as Jade Unicorn before its transformation in 2000. Over the years, Zen has pushed the boundaries of traditional oriental restaurants by providing a blend of classic and modern decor and introduced more diverse dishes. This has led to Zen becoming an award winning restaurant

We very much enjoyed the trio of starters, which we shared & generally all the food was nicely presented. Our only complaints relate to the main courses. My wife had beef in black bean sauce, but there were far too many chillies in it - she has eaten this dish many times elsewhere & has never had chillies in it. It was a shame because the beef was very tender but the overwhelming heat spoiled the dish. I had the sweet & sour chicken & similarly the balance of flavours was not quite right with the sauce not being sweet enough. The coffee was served with cream which impressed us & biscotti & chocolates. The service was very attentive & friendly.

Been many times and never disappointed. Food is first class and service professional but not stuffy - just right. Atmosphere terrific and there is always a buzz. We are a group of senoir citizens who enjoy dining out and Zen is certainly top or our list.

This is a local Chinese restaurant for us but friends also travel from Huddersfield and Brighouse to join us here. The food and service is always excellent

Excellent food - great service. first time there but definitely not the last. They even accommodated my mistake about booking times and got us in on a busy Saturday evening without making any fuss.
