Japanese specialties are intertwined with the flavors and unique products of the Mediterranean to create our own style of sushi, temakis, dim sum, ceviche, among others.
On the menu, the nigiris of butter fish with white truffle, the starry tuna tartar or the usuzukuri of toro pa amb tomàquet harmoniously coincide with tatakis and oxtail gyozas. The menu seamlessly blends the Mediterranean with Japan by showcasing creations including scallops with Ibicencan sobrasada and rice chips with burrata and Iberian ham.

Highly recommend. Excellent food and service. Couldn’t fault it.
First time dining at Zela and it was a truly pleasurable experience. Lovely food and great service - will definitely return and spread the word to others - a really nice surprise.
Good food bu the music was too loud and the portions were very small
Everything but the main is good.
Good environment and service
The surroundings and ambiance of the restaurant is very good despite on the evening of our booking it was not very busy. The service friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and overall an experience. The wine prices however are too high for what is on offer.
The food was amazing and the service was great my client enjoyed all the food presented and cannot wait to go back
We had a really nice Sunday lunch here. Very not busy so very good for intimate conversation, very attentive staff initially but left us alone after. The omakase sushi and sashimi with a Mediterranean twist were a delight. With the 30% off a la carte it was excellent value. The set brunch also looked to be good but we didn't drink so would have been waste with the free flowing cocktails. Would definitely come back.
Very good food and great service. Love the ambience, lots of plants and greenery & the DJ adds an energetic level. The only downside is with the pre theatre menu they forgot to bring out our starter which we only realised after we left. Overall a great place, shame about the starter!
The restaurant was quite empty so no atmosphere. The service was strange in that they would not leave the soya sauce pot on the table and proceeded to pour only a tiny amount for each person, we had to ask them for more 3 times. They also missed serving one person soya sauce... if you don’t want to leave the pot, at least don’t miss anyone out! Some dishes were outstanding, the tuna sashimi, the yellow tail, the beef. yet the gyoza were rubbery and rather tasteless, we had the prawn and the duck ones. The salmon with burata on a rice cake was strange and perhaps a little out of place in hindsight. I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant nor go back.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the food selection and very friendly. Overall great experience with food prices slightly on the expensive side considering only one of us had an alcoholic cocktail.
Second time in a week! Last Saturday night after the theatre play, I was walking around with my partner when we discovered ZELA. Decided to go in for drinks because the vibe was very energetic and the place was completely full. The cocktails are top. I had a Coco Chanel -OMG! And my wife an Espresso Martini. The Bar tender was great: attentive and made us very good recommendations. So we booked a table for yesterday straight away. Our experience: this is a MUST!
Starting with the lovely hostess, who received us with a big smile and looked happy to see us back. The service, simply perfect. One more time, we received the best recommendations possible. We asked for a kind of tasting menu, but lighter. Boom! Our waiter prepared a five star dinner with our preferences paired with a nice red wine. The night was an spectacle of colours and flavours: Edamame with the spanish sauce, salmorejo, really pretty duck gyozas, nigiris with quail egg and truffle, rice chips with salmon and burrata -super fresh...(mmm I can't remember all we ordered) and then, what a meat! My wife ate one of the most tender meat we have never tasted before. We also share the Miso Black. It was very tasty and fresh. We will be back for sure, and soon! Next time, we will invite friends and hope to get a table for a Friday night.
The server was nice and brought the drinks quickly but the food was unedible. The quality of the fish was poor. I’ve never sent food back before and gone to eat somewhere else. But there’s a first for everything.
Love the service and atmosphere! Food was beautiful. We have been several times now and bring new people each time.
Took my boyfriend for his birthday and asked for a surprise candle in my reservation notes when the desert comes. Unfortunately, they misread and thought it was my birthday and they asked him if they should bring the candle now as soon as I went to the bathroom... the restaurant was very quiet with probably 3 couples eating at that time and suddenly a dj started to playing super lourd music at 7pm, we couldn’t even hear each other or even talk at some point! For the rest the food was incredible and our waiter was very knowledgable and kind. Fantastic overall but a shame for these two details.
Mains took almost an hour to prepare and didn’t arrive in time (they were aware we were going to a play) so they didn’t charge us for food which we appreciated.
Poorly prepared food with seafood barely cooked

We went for early dinner, loved the cocktails and Sashimi platter. Service was really attentive and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon.
It was great by all means. First visit but definitely not last
Great food, interesting flavours, friendly staff & good service. Disappointed a la Carte not available for lunch dining
The service was not very good. We were the only table in the restaurant yet they still took a while to serve. No lunch option outside set lunch even when offered to incur additional charges. Service considerably lacking considering amount of staff. Majority of food was average average though.

Very cool Restaurant, quality food is amazing.
Recommend for dinner or pre-theatre.
The service and venue are great but the food and ambience was below average
The restaurant decor was on pointe! Very beautiful and architecturally appealing : excellent service .
This has been on my hit list for a while and decided to visit just before I went to the theatre. Opted for the A La Carte menu. I was shocked how little was actually on the menu for mains and very little for someone who does not eat beef. So I ended up ordering small plates galore. Be warned the food takes a while to come out here and a lot of of the waiting staff are still under training. Prevention was good food was average. They even managed to serve me uncooked duck gyozas which was slowly replaced and the most I got was an apology. Once the bill arrived it was still on there. Shocking that it was served even more shocking the manager thought it was fine just to replace it after serving an uncooked dish. I didn’t have time to complain so left it. But shocking overall.
The food was great, but the service was shocking, despite being one third full. Drinks too ages to order, never mind arrive. It became frustrating and will put me off returning for sure.
Only Brunch available on Sundays £59pp. Friendly staff, impeccable service, lovely ambience. I ordered wagyu beef (add another £6) which was stewed for 48h but not to my liking. The rest of the food is delicious especially the soba noodles. Bottomless wine is included which is great.
Dear ShereneO, thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed our brunch. We look forward to welcoming you again to ZELA.
Staff was amazing. Super friendly and made us feel at home. The taster menu was great and tasty. Definitely worth coming to try out.
Thank you very much for your nice review. We are glad you had a nice experience at ZELA and you enjoyed both, our gastronomy and our service. We hope to see you very soon.
Amazing restaurant! Completely different than any japanese restaurant. Fusion with mediterranean products. Really tasty! Service was great and the atmosphere couldn't be better. Definitely we'll come back soon. The place to be!
Pretty restaurant, sushi was great. The mains not so much - very pricey as I didn’t think the food was worth it. It was good but not wow. The mushroom, truffle rice wasn’t nice I think the power of the truffles and soft egg made it sickening. We had exceptional service from our waiter and because of the service we will be back. Requested Halal, but unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate on the night. Overall it was good.
Great experience. We had the tasting menu, the food was amazing, coming in a good flow, the service was very thoughtful, present without being too much and the ambiance is very warm.
One bad note would be the music level at the end of our dinner, we could barely hear each other talk.
Would definitely come back!
The ambiance was beautiful. We drove by and the decorations of the restaurant caught our eye so we made reservations. We checked the menu saw things we liked so decided to try it. The menu inside the restaurant was different than what we saw, I think there was variations for different occasions that threw us off. We ordered the vegetarian dumplings and edamame for an appetizer which were both very good. We ordered from the main dish section the vegetarian fried rice. We asked that the onsen tamago (egg) to be scrambled and fried into the rice, the server said that was ok. The rice came out and the egg wasn’t cooked at all, besides that they put dry fish skin shavings on top of the rice. The smell was horrendous. We do not eat seafood and that was not listed in the details of the dish. We were forced to send the plates back, which we requested no egg or fish shavings. When they returned the dishes, they were very good. The portion looked more like a side dish than a main but it was good. Then the server brought us the bill which we were happy we looked at because it was not our bill. They apologized and fixed it. Overall, I think the restaurant is beautiful but the food was not what we expected.
Good food. Overpriced given size of portions. Music way too loud in a restaurant largely empty on a Friday night. Whole concept has to be reworked. Avoid
Not great for quality of experience...disinterested staff and
First date dinner
THe service was extremely slow and rude. Very disappointing and very overpriced!
Very good energy in this West a end venue that features a brilliant fusion of Japanese sushi and Spanish tapas. A close second to the excellent customer cuisine are the innovative cocktails offered by the amiable and energetic mixologists. Definitely worth repeated visits!
Great place, sooo beautiful, food is very taste, stuff is very attentive and live music on the background complimented our evening!
It was our first time in Zela. The food was perfect. From starters to dessert to wine were all delicious. The staff from the reception to the wiaters were so polite and helpful. The maki rolls were superb and fresh!
