ZED451 - Chicago Ratings and Reviews
Sunday brunch has been a tradition for us for 3 yrs now, and our experience last Sunday solidified all the reasons why. Food is amazing as usual and the service was impeccable. Everyone on staff really seems to enjoy their job and it showed. Even when there were a few patrons being rude, it never affected the way our server interacted with any other customers.
Jenny, our server, made my boyfriend and my four year anniversary even more special than I thought it would be! She was very attentive, funny, and helpful in all aspects. The men serving the meat were excellent and helped me pick out my favorite steak so I could continually ask for it, and we were seated next to the warm fire in the middle of the restaurant. It was wonderful!
One of my favorite go to spots in the city for either a really nice dinner experience (with a small or large group) or for after dinner drinks and appetizers. Very nice bar area inside and gorgeous outdoor roof top patio when it gets warmer with nice drinks and appetizer specials. Love all the choices available here. Always recommend it to others.
Had a lovely supper celebrating our anniversary. The menu items did not exactly match what we were served as they had run out of pork belly. The substitution of squash was good, but I love pork. We we're well taken care of and will be back for brunch and for the rooftop when the weather is appropriate.
This place is always a home run. Our server, Bella was outstanding. Very attentive but not overly so. Almost psychic! The harvest tables have a wonderful selection of outstanding meats, cheeses, salads, soups and breads.
Now for the meats. A great variety of various meats, from pheasant sausage to Mediterranean chicken, and every type of beef. The hanger steak was awesome. The only disappointment is that they did not have my favorite, the pork belly and also the venison, but the menu is always kind of in a state of flux.
Highly recommend for anyone who wants to overeat great food!
My husband and I were looking for a great brunch to cap off our anniversary trip downtown and a friend suggested ZED451. So incredibly glad we chose this place. Everything was absolutely delicious and there was so much to choose from. Service was also impeccable and our server Antoine was amazing. This was one of the best brunches we have had and helped make our anniversary special.
Easy to make a reservation with open table. Unfortunately we weren't seated until 9pm for our 830 reservation. The front staff seemed more distracted by conversion with one another than explaining things to us (like expect a text when your table is ready, especially since they suggested we wait in the bar, and we were expecting someone to come get us). We generally didn't feel very welcomed upon arrival.
Luckily the rest of the experience was wonderful. Well crafted and delicious drinks. The waitresses and waitors were very attentive and explained everything well. We did receive acknowledgement of the issue with late seating and received a complimentary beverage for the inconvenience which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Karen was our waitress and was top notch as well. Beautiful ambiance, delicious food. Overall great experience.
Service was awful and we told them that one of us did not eat red meat so we would need more chicken and fish options. Had ask manager after one of us had nothing to eat after 30 min. Waitress was not good with followip! They comped one meal but not worth it! Food ok at best!
Similar to Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao but it has more than just beef! There was chicken, salmon, tuna, pork belly, squash, ribeye, hanger steak, and our favorite - picanha. The salad bar area is not as vast as the other two, but the selection was great. I liked all the different types of butter they had at the salad bar. Our waitress was attentive. The meats took a while to come out because we were the only ones there at 6pm on a Monday - there were a few parties in the bar area though.
Every time I dine here it gets better and better. This time the service was the shining star! Layla was not only beautiful but just wonderfully attentive. She talked to us on a personal level and explained what was in store for the evening then left us to enjoy our food and wine, checking back often. Love this place! There is NO substitute...beware of imitations.
The server announced how she would accept payment and tip prior to us taking our seats. Also, the server ditched the table and left another server to complete closing our tab. They even ignored dietary restrictions. It was less than subpar. I wouldn’t dare recommend this brunch to anyone. I had to find the manager after it took over an hour to close our bill.
Food was amazing, service was fantastic. When it came to the ambiance, we were under the impression that this was a very upscale restaurant, and dress attire was expected. Many patrons that were regulars at this facility were dressed down (flannel shirts, jeans, tshirts) and my husband and I felt very overdressed. I would recommend to others to check this restaurant out, but I would mention not to dress as nice as they make you believe you should.
