ZED451 - Chicago Ratings and Reviews
Similar to Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao but it has more than just beef! There was chicken, salmon, tuna, pork belly, squash, ribeye, hanger steak, and our favorite - picanha. The salad bar area is not as vast as the other two, but the selection was great. I liked all the different types of butter they had at the salad bar. Our waitress was attentive. The meats took a while to come out because we were the only ones there at 6pm on a Monday - there were a few parties in the bar area though.
Every time I dine here it gets better and better. This time the service was the shining star! Layla was not only beautiful but just wonderfully attentive. She talked to us on a personal level and explained what was in store for the evening then left us to enjoy our food and wine, checking back often. Love this place! There is NO substitute...beware of imitations.
The server announced how she would accept payment and tip prior to us taking our seats. Also, the server ditched the table and left another server to complete closing our tab. They even ignored dietary restrictions. It was less than subpar. I wouldn’t dare recommend this brunch to anyone. I had to find the manager after it took over an hour to close our bill.
Food was amazing, service was fantastic. When it came to the ambiance, we were under the impression that this was a very upscale restaurant, and dress attire was expected. Many patrons that were regulars at this facility were dressed down (flannel shirts, jeans, tshirts) and my husband and I felt very overdressed. I would recommend to others to check this restaurant out, but I would mention not to dress as nice as they make you believe you should.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Chicago area, this was my first time going to brunch there and I was pleasantly surprised. Amazing food, always great service, ate so much at brunch that I wasn't hungry until the next day! Love the atmosphere and the food and the overall experience. Great for many different types of occasions
The food was phenomenal. The service was terrible. First of all, we sat down at our table and no one came over to greet us or take our drink orders for 15 mins. The manager came over after that and was nice enough to comp. a couple cocktails for us. Then, about 3/4 of the way through our meal our waiter started ignoring us. He didn't leave; we saw him near, but he was ignoring us. Finally he came over about 15 minutes after we finished eating and offered us dessert, which we decline and asked for our checks. He asked if we were there for a special occasion, and I said yes, my boyfriend's birthday, then he walked away. He then came back a couple minutes later, not with a check, but with a napkin and two forks (as if he was going to give us a special birthday dessert... nice). Another 15 or so minutes go by and we're still waiting. Meanwhile he brings a birthday dessert to another table and doesn't even acknowledge us. I kept trying to get his attention to please bring us our check, but he wouldn't even look our way. Then finally after many more minutes another waiter offered to give us our check. We never saw the birthday dessert (after probably 30 minutes now) or our waiter, again. In conclusion: Food is great, service was pretty bad.
Our evening was perfect from start to finish. We were greeted immediately and were seated immediately. Our waitress was great. She answered all our questions and gave us great guidance in choosing a bottle of wine. We never felt rushed. The numerous members of the team that visited our table were professional and friendly. We felt right at home from beginning to end!
Was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Very slow. Excuse for everything that went wrong. Waited 30 mins for our second round of drinks. Dipping sauce showed up after the meal was finished. Waitress disappeared and was gone for long periods of time. We put our money out with check to pay as soon as the check was dropped off. Instead of picking it up as she passed after greeting another table -she was gone. We both went to the bathroom separately (one after the other) and she had still not returned to grab the money In That time span. The food was a-mazing. It was pretty empty on the rooftop where (we were sitting ) so no excuse for slow poor service. I felt my experience was not worth what I paid. I've worked at many restaurants and service is better at Applebee's . Super disappointing after choosing this place based on positive reviews.
The food was exceptionally poor. The steak was dry, the chicken (waffles) was raw, and the cinnamon rolls were just awful. The things I was most excited about eating were the most disappointing. Karen, our server, was nice and accommodating, but definitely not attentive. I was there celebrating my birthday and I've left sad.
